Whenever I press the side volume buttons on my 9700, the screen looks like its being pressed on the side a little ripples show up. I was wondering if anyone elses 9700 does this as well?
View 4 RepliesGot a problem with my 5800 - just today, the touch screen has started being odd. It sometimes works perfectly but then i try and press a button on the left hand side of the screen and it chooses the one at the right-hand side. This obviously makes everything very difficult! Any ideas as to why this might be/how I could repair it? I've tried the touch screen calibration about 10 times, it sorts it out for about a minute.I can send it to Nokia to replace but I could really do without sending my phone away
View 13 Replies View RelatedI have had the Bold 9700 since like the end of May 2010. This is actually my 2nd one because the first one I got was defective (the 3/R button didn't work)..so I got a new Bold 9700 via DOA. Two days ago, I noticed that my phone would restart when i press the two volume buttons at the same time. If I press one of them, it still works perfectly. However, I use a case so sometimes I accidentally hit the two volume buttons together and my phone reboots.I'm not too sure if this problem just started to occur like recently because I never noticed if I ever hit the volume keys together at the same times before. I don't think it's a software problem but I'm running on the original Rogers OS 5.0.0.351. I never bothered to upgrade because .351 seems to work pretty well already.

I'm sure I changed it to this at some point from something else however I don't know how or where etc. My friend's Blackberry (same Bold 9700) has a lock screen that shows a padlock to say it's locked but I don't get this? Any ideas? This lock screen displays her background image and a little padlock in the bottom corner etc.

View 9 Replies View RelatedI got my HTC one m8 two months ago and I've been using it very frequently. When I use it I see the volume bar increasing to max randomly. It's extremely annoying since I wear headphones. I tried some things out and found out that when ever I touch the volume up button slightly it raises the volume. You can feel the click of a button on any volume button that indicates that you are pressing it. I don't even push it to feel that. It's a light touch and it goes way up. My lower volume button is fine and it doesn't increase until I push past that click. What's going on? I've heard of loose volume buttons mine are firm and don't rattle.

The one near the bottom is for the camera, and there are a couple above that that the user guide says are the volume buttons. When I press the them to increase or drecrease the volume, nothing happens.

My buttons seemed to have stopped working properly. In order to adjust the volume using the side button, I have to shut down the phone and then restart it. It will work for a while and then stops working and I have to go thru the process again. The home button just works whenever it wants. It doesn't fix the problem when I restart the phone. I can slide my finger in a circle around the button and it still doesn't work.

I tried to push a little harder on the screen and it seems its under the screen. But the screens is fine when its on no issue ot whatever. But its annoying hearing those click when you push the screen a little harder.. I tried to remove the back case to be sure its not the power/volume button that I'm hearing.

My phone went out of battery and it turned off. So i plug the charger in and waited for it to restart. After restarting it, I realize there are several settings that ran away IE: My ringtone preferences and keyboard preferences. So far, I've already readjust it, But ever since the phone restarted like that, I can no longer lock my screen, not even if it times out itself after 15 seconds. and when i press and hold the power off button, instead of showing the menu for options like "Silent phone"/Flight mode"/"Shut down" it only shows power off. What can i do to get the original settings back ?
I can't stand how the bold 9700 has a screen lock button on top of it- on my old curve i set the side convenience button as the screen lock and to unlock the screen i had to hit two keys (since i didn't set a PW)... now all i have to do his hit the top button-- i've pocket dialed a bunch of people now just by accidentally pressing this button- is there any way to disable this top screen lock button?

What's happening is that whenever I press the home button on the bottom of the handset, it will take a screen capture (even when I don't press the lock button). It's kinda tempremental, however it's doing it about 3 times a day...and the only way to stop it is by restarting the phone!I have done a factory reset on the phone and updated all its software but that hasen't seemed to in the slightest.

View 2 Replies View RelatedThe increase (top one) volume button on the side of the phone does not work. The decrease volume button work fine. For example, I open up media player, put on an mp3, but it is too low to be able to hear so I click the volume button to increase it but it just does nothing. I have threw my Blackberry once or twice in frustration since I got it for Christmas. I imagine this might have something to do with the fault but I don't know for sure.

Is there something I need to do to configure the buttons for third-party music programs? It used to work just fine with these programs but no more!
View 3 Replies View RelatedI have an iPhone 4s (Verizon). I had recently purchased what was described as an OEM screen plus LCD after I had cracked my factory screen. After replacing the screen and LCD such features as the side volume controls, vibrate switch, and proximity switch (dimming after accepting a call) have stopped working. I double checked to see that all of the connectors were pushed on correctly and they were. Is it possible this may not be an OEM screen and causing the problem or is there a piece of the hardware that I may have damaged that controls all of these functions (i.e. motherboard)?

Having issue with their screen after updating to Denim on the L1520. I keep getting phantom swipes and key presses. Cortana comes up often and I have to turn off the screen and then turn it back on for the screen to actually work. I have tried hard resetting it...both from the Lumia Software Recovery Tool and from the phone itself. It still does the same thing.

View 1 Replies View RelatedRecently i bought a BB Bold 9700 and it was working just fine until one day a white stripe appeared on the left side of my screen. This didnt bother me so much. A couple of days later another stripe appeared; this was when i started to be worried. I looked for a solution online and i tried pressing on it and then clicking the "p" key, i've tried pulling the battery, and i've tried simply resetting it. I have never dropped this phone or gotten it wet. I did get a private screen for it and the stripe appeared after i got it so that might have something to do with it. Now there are 2 stripes most of the time but sometimes it switches to 1.

One day I noticed that the cursor would move as I am typing a message. I was like wtf but I ignored it... then it kept happening and I noticed that this only happened when I was outside and had my phone out...
I tried using my phone under my desk lamp and there's nothing wrong it. It's something about the sunlight when I'm using my phone that makes the trackpad move in different directions.
