IPhone :: 4G Screen Scratches / Get Swirls Very Easy?
Jul 19, 2010
Does anyone else notice that this phone gets swirls and scratches extremely easy? My 3GS's screen has no scratches in the year I had it and I've had my iPhone 4 since the day is came out and I've also had a bumper on it. The back has a big scratch on the back (but you can't feel it, just visible) and the front has a small scratch. But over the whole entire screen there are hairlines swirls all over. I never had this with my 3GS. Anyone else have this with their (easy scratching)? I don't like putting screen protectors on, never have, but contemplating doing that now.
I take really good care of my phone and had the iPhone 3G for 2 years and didn't have any problems with scratches on the screen. Now with the iPhone 4 I have taken even better care of it and it is covered in scratches some seem minor but some seem deep and make it look weird when you look at it with the screen on. Once I noticed this it made me really mad because it is supposed to be a stronger screen.
a scratch is something that you can see on the phone when the screen is on, or when it is off but in normal lighting (not bright sunlight).micro scratches are hairline marks that you cannot see when the display is on, and only show up at certain angles in direct sunlight.
Is there anyway to get rid of light screen scratches? On not sure where they came from, but they're driving me crazy. I didn't get them over 3yrs on my last iPhone, without a screen protector so I'm not sure exactly why they'd popped up.
I had two 3g iPhones and this is my second 3gs. This new replacement screen is picking up little micro scratches like crazy. My old one was naked for 6 months with no scratches at all and ditto on the 3g phones.
My 18 months old Nokia Navigator 6210 has suddenly developed several thin black lines across the screen which are spreading across the entire screen area.
Just wondering if any other owners of the Lumia 710 are seeing light scratches on the screen? I've only had the device for a couple of weeks and already have a couple of light scratches that are visible in daylight. I'm very surprised at this as I keep the phone in a case most of the time and have been very careful with the device in general. If kept in a pocket it has always been on its own with no keys or coins. I've owned several other devices over the last few years, with and without Gorilla Glass, and have never had a single scratch on any screen after months of use. To have a couple on the 710 after only a few weeks is rather alarming.
I've been using my X10 mini for 3-4 months now. The screen is already full of scratches (even with careful use), some are smaller, some are larger.
what products would be best (and in any case, not make things any worse) to polish the screen? Some products which can be found from Amazon or eBay would be great.
I'm thinking of buying an invisibleSHIELD for the phone, but I'd like to have a scratch-free screen underneath it.
Are screen scratches covered under warranty. I've never used anything other than the stylus, it lives it's life in soft case, yet the screen is covered in scratches..especially where the scroll bars would appear. This is my 3rd phone.. the other 2 didn't scratch like this one has.
How many of you have your BB with Screen scratches? Mine got some after lending it to my sister! She talked about replacing the faceplate or buying Displex!
I am trying to think ahead as I am eligible to purchase the 4G at end of June.I have rock installed and have done some back ups with this. How will I keep my JB apps moving to a new phone?
Will rock recognize my id once I JB the new phone and re-load rock on to it?
I Have ios 7.1.2 on my iPhone 4 and I was told that it was not intended for iOS 7. How can I revert it? Because it's pretty much a useless apple product now. It's always freezing and really want iOS 6 back
Posting because I don't know if anyone else has this same problem or not with cases. With my iPhone 3GS, I put an ifrog case on it and an encase. I also used a zagg shield. Worked great! After about 8 months of using that set up I noticed that dirt dust whatever gets in between the case and the phone and scratched he phone up pretty bad. My bezel is scratched, the plastic back is scratched. WTF. Now I am reluctant to use a hard case on my new iphone or iPad. Anyone else experience this?
Sorry if this has been posted before. to the people that only have the bumper on, with no skins or shield, have you developed any scratches or has the bumper given you sufficient enough protection?
So I purchased an iPhone 4 about 2-3 weeks ago, and I'm really careful where I set it down as to not scratch it. (My local bar tender knows to put two coasters down, one for a drink and another for my iPhone), but I recently noticed that on the back camera that the glass is really scratched up that covers the lens. My question is: does anyone know how I can go into a store and get them to switch out my old one for a new one? Like a guaranteed problem I can report that they will swap it for?
I just noticed that the back of my 3gs has 2 scratches at the back. Not hair line scratches, you can feel it with your fingernails and it's a bit deep. I don't know why did this happened as I am using a silcione case.
I find the E72 not easy to use if you are not looking at the phone, i.e. if you want to end a call, you cannot press the 'end' button by feeling for it. If for e.g. the 'end call' button was the top right button, then ending a call could be done merely by feeling for the first button. Now with the flat surface buttons, its impossible to do so without having to look at the phone. There ought to be laws out there on the use of the term 'smartphone'.
I am a very new blackberry user & recently picked up a used unlocked and unbranded Bold 9000. I am wondering if there is a way to fin out if the PIN is still being held by the previous provider? I really want to make sure that the phone is good.
I had someone run the IMEI on the phone & it came back as clean, but did not list it's last provider (or any info for that matter) in the history. I believe from looking on the phone that it was on Rogers last. The PIN for the phone is 20D56A67, the phone is currently not on a network. Also is it common for Blackberries to be made in Hungry and say "Property of Research In Motion" on the sticker under the battery? My roomate has a curve and it doesn't say that.
I'm very pleased with my LG G4 - a great phone BUT have one major issue which is wrecking my life. Whenever I press to go to my "Home Page" I am asked to select between Home and Easy Home - I select "Always" for Home but it continually asks me to select between Home and Easy Home most of the time.
Always isn't always on my phone?? I have gone through everything multiple times - to be able to Disable Easy Home is greyed out on that screen.
I just got the LG G4 and everytime I hit the Home button, a window pops up for me to choose Home or Easyhome. No matter how mant times I select Home and select use as default, it still pops up every time. Even if I go to settings and select it there..same thing, the widow still pops up.
I have a little problem where im using the phone horisontal i cant use my left hand becouse when i do i am covering the sensor and the screen goes black until i remove my left arm from the sensor again. is it possible to disable this feature? its getting enoying and i am reading alot in the web browser and everytime the screen goes black i have to start over from the beginning again.
I have a 8330 and just did an update. Before the update to access the addressbook all I had to do was hold down the talk button for about 2 seconds and my addressbook would appear. Now after the update it no longer does that. It just goes to my call log/previous calls. Is there a way to get to the addressbook instead of having to go through the main menu and then down to addressbook?
