I recently bought a nokia 5800 xm....the close-up photos taken from the camera appear fine and normal...however other photos when taken are full of white hazy appearance..do i need to change any settings or is there a problem with the set??
View 6 Replieshave got nokia 5800. got ovi store on it. but cannot change login details. i think i had it to auto login. but now i have changed my password it says that login failed but cannot change the details. i had Internet working on it but when i changed networks, Internet could not see the new access point so i tried uninstalling it to reinstalling it. now i cannot download anything. login fails each time.

My nokia 5800 takes many time to autofocus i.e. changing of bracket from yellow to green. Firstly I can see zooming of lens in and out during autofocus, but now I can't. As a result the pic it shoots is blurred. When i compare the picture quality of 5800 with 5233 (2 mp), I found quality of 5233's pic is far better than 3.2 mp carl zeiss lens.

I have a nokia 5800 xm i brought it from ebay brand new but just lately when i go to my pictures folder and view the thumbs of my pictures the phone freezes and i have to switch it of and back on which takes about 20sec before it will switch off.

However now , it also changes her bbm picture and it would not change even if she changes it herself now her bbm picture is stuck as well.I forgot where i went to change this overwrite picture setting...

Sometime I carry with me a tape measure and I lay it along the lenght and/r height of the item just to get a rough measurement of the item's dimension.Is it possible for Nokia to develop a camera with a built-in measuring tape that shows up in the pictures taken? The measuring tape should be able to adjust to the distance between the camera and the object so that the actual dimension of the object is measured accurately. Next is when you take picture. When u go to photo albums. You see a link below saying open in Nokia camera. How come pics have that link and others don't? I took some smartcam pics too look at later and can't open it up and do the action shots and other stuff.
up until 2 days ago i could use wifi on my nokia 5800. My phone no longer appears to be able to connect to wlan. When I go to settings, connectivity the wlan settings option is no longer there. I dont understand what has happened to make this option disapear. I am using software version 30.0.011.

The update works well, but after restart of phone i lost my theme and the default symbian S60 Theme is started (light blue touch). I think this is not correct and want go into Settings to Change the Theme back to my Settings (default skin when i have buyed it, with changed background). But i can go into Settings > Personal -> Themes. I see the menu points now in Themes for 1-2 seconds and it goes back to the view of Personal.
I hope i have named the menu points correct, because i have german as language.

View 4 Replies View RelatedI am now on my 2nd 5800, got my first one last February and was able to use it for a whole month, till I took the SIM out of it, thats when my problems began, I've had 2 new SIMs, the phone was away for repair 3 times then I got a new one in November 2009 and guess what same problem, it wont change from off line to on line, no matter how many times I put the SIM in, so that one has been away for repair and surprise surprise it still doesn't work, thankfully I still have my old N95 which works and I use that.

View 5 Replies View RelatedAfter receiving my 5800 I had to restore factory settings and format the memory card to get rid of unwanted pre-installed content.Before that, I had no problems connecting the phone to the computer via USB and transferring media files, but now - Ovi player doesn't recognize it when I connect the phone and select PC suite modemedia transfer mode. Bluetooth works, mass storage mode via USB works. I am using Windows 7.Is there anything that I need to reinstall on the phone to get it to work? has anybody seen this problem?
View 5 Replies View RelatedI've got a strange problem with my 5800, when I want to enter application manager > installed applications my phone restarts. From recent installed applications a major ones would be Ovi Maps and (today) Java 2.0 from Nokia Beta Labs. I am not sure which one could cause the described problem, but I think it would be Java. Why? Because without memory card present I can enter 'installed apps' without any problem. I have to tell you, that only in my opinion Java causes that, I don't know if any other doesn't. How to manage the problem without a hard reset? I really wouldn't like to install all my stuff once again.

I was facing an issue with the gallery in nokia 5800 xpressmusic phone. When i open the gallery and watching the pictures in the gallery in sequence, I am getting a popup message like "Gallery: Memory Full. Close some applications and try again". Do anyone facing the same issue and found the fix for this. I had 1001 pictures in the gallery. Still 2.3GB space is left in Memory-card and 22mb free in phone memory.

View 1 Replies View RelatedI got this Nokia 500XM phone and when I want to change the ringtone in the profiles it takes ages and just has the scroling bar with opening at the top. I have found a cumbersome work around and that is to take out the memory card but then that just mean I have to stick with the pre-installed ones or copy the selected mp3 file to the phone memory. Is there any way to cut down this wait when I have the memory card inserted? - I wonder if I have added all my mp3 songs to the right folder on the memory card I think I put them in the Music (E: 8gb memory) folder on the memory card I wonder if this is whats causing the problem should they be in another folder? its an 8gb card with 3404mb (3.4gb) and 325 songs or more.
