Nokia :: 5800 Message Alert Tone Selection Error
Apr 7, 2010I have an 5800 xm blue. you could select message tone before but i turned it off only to vibrate. now i got this really cool tone I want to use but when switching msg tones back on it gives me a warning-----not enough memory to display all ringtones, only tones in read-only memory will be displayd. -------- why can't i select and set a msg tone in my music gallery like a ring tone? And how do i get the msg tones to work properly. My phone memory is 48mb free from 86mb?

Jul 28, 2010Just been upgraded to a 6303i Classic. I want to remove Web (which I won't use) from the Right Selection key and put Names there like it was on my old 6230.
The manual says I can change the Right Selection key in Settings, My Shortcuts. I see options to change the Left Selection key and the Navigation key, but there is no option to change the Right Selection key.
The software is on version 6.84. I attempted the update to 7.10 using the phone's own updater, but it came back saying no update was available.
Nokia :: 5800 Contact Shortcut Colour Keys
Mar 2, 2010I find it very difficult to see the letters on the contact shortcut keypad - when you go to contacts > search (light-blue letters on two-tone grey background). Is there any way of changing this keypad colour scheme to something easier to see?
I'm fine with the normal qwerty keypad.

Apr 19, 20101) the two virtual keys on homepage (Contact and Dial) are not working! My phone vibrates like usual when I press them, but just nothing would come out. Any solution to that?

I would like to know is there any possibility to change the keys that lock opens. Is there even theoretical possibility to change those keys? Clearly left softkey - right softkey combination is not a good option for me

Jan 7, 2010I've had my 5800 for 4mnths and all was working fine then i tried to put sum music on my fone using the usb like i had done previously. this time however the fone would not show as being connected in media transfer mode so i could not use the ovi player to transfer files Ive tried restoring factory settings and updating various thing but nothing has worked. I have found out that i am able to connect via usb for mass storage thou which i dont understand. i hope sumbody out there can help.

Feb 5, 2010I am now on my 2nd 5800, got my first one last February and was able to use it for a whole month, till I took the SIM out of it, thats when my problems began, I've had 2 new SIMs, the phone was away for repair 3 times then I got a new one in November 2009 and guess what same problem, it wont change from off line to on line, no matter how many times I put the SIM in, so that one has been away for repair and surprise surprise it still doesn't work, thankfully I still have my old N95 which works and I use that.

I have found a cumbersome work around and that is to take out the memory card but then that just mean I have to stick with the pre-installed ones or copy the selected mp3 file to the phone memory. Is there any way to cut down this wait when I have the memory card inserted? - I wonder if I have added all my mp3 songs to the right folder on the memory card I think I put them in the Music (E: 8gb memory) folder on the memory card I wonder if this is whats causing the problem should they be in another folder? its an 8gb card with 3404mb (3.4gb) and 325 songs or more.

Jul 5, 2010I had my official mailbox set up on E72 and recently i removed the mailbox due to issues with sync. Mailbox got removed without any issues, however when i click on email one touch key, it still goes to the old mailbox & asks for pwd for connecting. Shudn't removing mailbox clean up everything? I also see this old mailbox name appear under email>global settings>homescreen>. This is strange and annoying. Is there a way i can clean up old mailbox w/o doing hard reset?
