I had lost the above languge selection after installed "Tradition Chinese package", and can't restore my default English languge. In languge and region setup only 3 Chinese selection aviliable, please advisor how to restore the default languge selection.
View 5 RepliesI ticked a "remember this choice" for texting to one of my contacts that has more than one mobile number, so it became the default. I didnt realise that the choice also applied to phone calls. No problem I thought, just unmark it as default. But that doesnt seem to be an option, i.e. having set a default, the only choice seems to be to change it to another number not actually cancel altogether.The only way round it i could find is to add a new dummy number, mark that as the default then delete the number. Am I missing the obvious?

After installing a couple of games(Duke nukem 3d and Abuse) and I think one of these probably crashed, it got left in US keyboard mode (I think). I see that there is a new file created called /home/user/int_kb_layout that has string "us" inside it. Just deleting this file and restarting the phone does not help. Searching around I find that perhaps some tool called /usr/bin/gconftool-2 might need to be used, but I got more confused. Therefore I might ask in general how one can get back their default keyboard maps for their N900?

View 4 Replies View RelatedI have recently bought an E71 in Oman, where I work and live, with an Arabic/English keyboard.There is so much squashed on each key (and the English bit was so small) that I have decided to change to an English only keyboard.I have done this at a cost of 15GBP whilst visiting Dubai.It works fine except that some of the keys do not now create on screen what is pressed on the keyboard.For example if i press the '?' or the 'Full stop' is not where it should be.In other words the phone still thinks that i have an Arabic / English keyboard and not an English only keyboard.Its like an American and UK 'PC' keyboard. The @ is located in different places for example.I believe that I need to change a setting or add some software.Can any one advise (simply) what I need to do to correct this issue if possible.links to software, instructions etc.

Needless to say this has expired, but can't be renwed (to my knowledge). This year I want to go to Indonesia again, but the online store (in my phone) only lists Europe (€ 2.99/month or € 9.99/year) now. Is there a way to obtain other regions for Maps 3.01? (I'm not counting on a free version for the N95 any time soon)

On my previous phone (HTC One X) I could choose to not sync particular folders (like spam) to my phone, but on my LG G4 it syncs all spam (or other folder contents) directly to my inbox, meaning I get a regular stream of notifications about junk all day every day - it's beyond irritating now. When I go into mail settings and select "show all folders" there is no spam folder or any of my other Yahoo or Gmail folders, so all mail, including spam comes straight to my inbox. How do I set the default email app to properly show ALL folders and set syncing so I don't get spam synced to my phone?
I'm hoping I've just overlooked something simple and my upgrade hasn't meant a reduction in simple functions! If there's no way to do it in the default app? This seems such a ridiculously basic function to omit.
IPhone 4 running 4.0.1. Happened on 4.0 as well. This is the second time this has happened. Look at the center email...anything look funny? It won't let me delete and eventually changes to a date in the year 2000 then randomly will go away. It just shows up on it's own. Email setup with default gmail account settings.

None of those accounts will use my default for calendar reminders, even after Syncing and rebooting. During the beginning of the setup process in iTunes, after registering the new iPhone with APPLE, when I am asked to set it up as new iPhone, or to restore it from my previous iTouch backup, which do I choose? It isn't clear to me, and I can't find the answer anywhere. If I choose to set it up as a new iPhone, will I lose all my apps and all my previous settings (and start over)?
