I am having trouble sending text messages - I get a send fail response. I think perhaps a setting needs to be changed, but don't know which one; so I thought I would try restoring default settings, but don't know how to do it.
my iphone 4 : some apps work normal on 3G and Wifi and some don't. will resetting to default help? All this started since I update to 5.1.1. - What will happen to all my contacts and sms's?
Is there a way to restore the default bookmarks for Safari that came with the iPhone 4s? I mistakenly deleted them after having the iPhone for only a couple days.
Is there a file/folder I can download into the iPhone to get those default bookmarks and bookmark bar back? Or are they hidden somewhere internally?
IPhone 4 running 4.0.1. Happened on 4.0 as well. This is the second time this has happened. Look at the center email...anything look funny? It won't let me delete and eventually changes to a date in the year 2000 then randomly will go away. It just shows up on it's own. Email setup with default gmail account settings.
I have a small problem with my Iphone 4 5.1 - modem firmware 4.12.01 and I had it just replaced two weeks ago and it was locked and not activated.
After working on it to activate it (don't have the original sim the mobile was locked to) I decide to restore it to factory setting, as it was when replaced. I tried with Itunes but it gives me error 3194 putting it in a loop and later I tried to do it via the device itself (settings > general > reset > cancell data and settings) but it got stuck on the loading circle for 5-6 hours so I pressed together power and home to shut it down.
So what should I do now to restore it to factory settings? I don't know what to do and I don't want to endanger my warranty (if it is still on at this point!!!).I have windows 7 and tried with a different usb ports or with no firewall but to no avail.
I'm trying to restore my iphone to original settings because it is jailbroke and keeps giving me a hard time. It begins to download and midway I receive an error code and then I get disconnected from my sync. How can I update and restore my phone?

my phone spec: 3gs 16g version 3.1.2 (7d11) model: mc131c
i realize that this is not my phone and i want to return the phone the apple store to get a full refund (still 14 day of purchase period)? how do i restore to its factory settings without any jailbreak bread-crumbs?
My 'facetime' stopped working for some reason. I did use facetime just a day ago and didn't do changes since then. For some reason it stopped working. So, as per my wife's advice, I did 'Reset all settings'. But, for some reason after doing its thing it is asking me to 'Set Up iPhone' with these options:Set Up as New iPhone, Restore from iCloud Backup, Restore from iTunes Backup. This scared me...did I lose my media. I have tons of videos and pictures of my son. I didn't want to lose them. So, I jsut stopped proceeding.
I want to restore my iphone 4 jailbroken to its factory settings but when i click on restore on pc it starts downloading the new 5.1 version, so i just want to ask whether its ok to go ahead , or it can give me sum problem later as my iphone is jailbroken and i cant update the version directly.
When you get your iPhone 4, will you restore from a backup to transfer your settings and data, or start out fresh and slowly bring things in?Personally, I'll probably start fresh. It also gives me a chance to trim out some unused apps and things.
I woke up this morning to my phone saying it needs to be connected to itunes. When I try to connect it says restore to factory settings cause my phone cannot be recognized. What should I do? I don't want to lose everything.
I have been trying to restore my iPhone for about 12 hours now, and I'm about to pull my hair out if it doesn't work soon. The restore to factory settings goes fine, and then when I begin to set it up, it first gives me trouble activating it, but I just press continue when it says it hasn't been activated and a few minutes later I have signal. The next problem arises when I try and restore it from a iCloud backup. I have tried 3 different back ups, all 3 have given me the same problem. They say there is anywhere from 15-45 hours remaining, and it gets stuck at about a centimeter along the progress bar of the restoring settings part. I have not been able to get past this. Quite a few times it has said that my internet connection failed and I'll need to restart the restore. I know this most likely isn't true because I'll be on the computer at that exact point and not have an issue with the computer. I also have a very stable internet connection, and very fast. When I have done restores in the past it took about five minutes.
I had to wipe my iPhone clear, set it back to factory settings and I restored it back using the backup on my hard drive. But I can't add music back to my iPhone and I lost all my apps. How do I sync my iPhone back to my iTunes and get all my music back on it?
itunes keeps giving me an error message when I try to sync my phone, and advises me to restore my phone to the factory settings. Will resotring the factory settings erase all the contents of my phone?
