Mar 18, 2012I have over 1000 apps. I have them neatly packaged in folders of 12 on my iPhone 4S. When I do a restore (which it seems I have to do, as per Apple Support, three times so far in order to resolve my problems). Each time I do, I lose my folders so that I have to go back and "package" my "1000 plus" apps all over again. Is there any way I can restore the iPhone 4S so that my folders of 12 apps each remain intact?
I use Windows 7 Ultimate 64 bit.

Sep 2, 2015On my previous phone (HTC One X) I could choose to not sync particular folders (like spam) to my phone, but on my LG G4 it syncs all spam (or other folder contents) directly to my inbox, meaning I get a regular stream of notifications about junk all day every day - it's beyond irritating now. When I go into mail settings and select "show all folders" there is no spam folder or any of my other Yahoo or Gmail folders, so all mail, including spam comes straight to my inbox. How do I set the default email app to properly show ALL folders and set syncing so I don't get spam synced to my phone?
I'm hoping I've just overlooked something simple and my upgrade hasn't meant a reduction in simple functions! If there's no way to do it in the default app? This seems such a ridiculously basic function to omit.

Jun 26, 2010I am looking for different methods to organize application folders on the homescreen so that they stand out from the regular apps.I am not a Photoshop pro, so was hoping someone can make my idea come to life.In this same attached file, I wanted to make the last row of apps and the docked apps background darkened too, just like the right side is vertically darkened to include app folders in it.Currently, only 4 folders would fit in that horizontally darkened area.By horizontally darkening the entire bottom last row and docked apps, the darkened area will now include 7 folders and the docked apps themselves.Can someone make this for me and post here?Also, does anyone have any folder arrangement ideas of their own that they would like to share?

During the beginning of the setup process in iTunes, after registering the new iPhone with APPLE, when I am asked to set it up as new iPhone, or to restore it from my previous iTouch backup, which do I choose? It isn't clear to me, and I can't find the answer anywhere. If I choose to set it up as a new iPhone, will I lose all my apps and all my previous settings (and start over)? My computer is a MacBook laptop.

Oct 10, 2010I have thousands of messages (SMS, Bluetooth, etc.) sorted and stored in a folder tree in "My folders" on my E71-1 (somewhat like Outlook).I tried exporting as CSV file (using Best MessageStorer), but then I could not figure out how to import the messages in the CSV file (Noki Gems crashes). In addition, only text and html are exported leaving out all the Bluetooth messages! Is there a way to backup and restore these (like Outlook)?

Nokia :: E72 - Deleted All Messages / Backup Wont Restore Texts On My Folders?
Mar 9, 2010Basically on E72, I had messages in inbox, my folders and sent section. Once I restarted phone and then phone froze. I felt the problem was due to Vlingo application, because I pressed home button to see which applications were open that were casuing the freezing. So I restarted the phone and all messages were deleted. However my messages were saved as a backup on another memory card. So I only lost a couple of texts. But the same, exactly same problem happened yesterday. Now all texts on both memory cards have been deleted. I have now disabled vlingo to open on start up.
1. The only backup I have now is a pc suite backup of texts, as an .nbu file which I can restore using pc suite or ovi suite. However after I restore, the messaging application does not open and I have to restart phone. Also the texts inside "my folder" do not appear, only in my inbox and sent. Is there any way, of getting all the texts to appear including my folder texts?
2. Obviously the above solution doesnt give me all my texts back, so is there any chance of restoring the texts, from the memory cards even though it doesnt work when I insert it inside the E72. Im hoping by restoring old data inside the memory card by opening it on the laptop or something?
3. I heard, that texts do not get deleted at all, but just blocked, so anyone know if I can unblock them?
4. Or can my network provider send me texts, that I have recieved and sent over last couple of months.

Apr 2, 2012I just purchased my phone. I can't view any of my contacts that have only an organization name. I can't view contacts that do not have a first name either. Do I not have a setting correct? Even if I create a new contact I still can't view it.

The name shows up in my contact list on my phone, however, when I search for these contacts, either with the search function in the contacts app, or the search glass in the bottom right corner, I do not get these contacts in my search query.I saw another thread where someone had to do a hard reset which seemed to fix this. I really would like to avoid that if possible...Another thread said to clear the contact storage cache - mine currently has 0 kb and is not selectable.

May 14, 2011I bought my first BlackBerry (Curve 3G 9300) on Friday and tried to setup a personal email account on the phone via the setup wizard earlier today.The phone said that an update to 6.11...... was needed in order to do this. I let it update, now the phone is just hanging after starting up. If I do a start up after removing the battery it comes up with a black screen with the BlackBerry logo and a progress bar below it. The progress bar moves along until the end, this takes around a minute. It then shows something like a little clock over the logo for about a second. Once this disappears the phone says with the logo and the completed progress bar - and just hangs there.

After reactivation, I tried to set up email so she could check her Hotmail, but the setup wizard only shows one option - enterprise email through Exchange. I know when I use to use the Storm myself, I had both Hotmail and a POP email account set up with no problems. Is this a device issue or a carrier issue? I had Bell activate the Storm on a minimal (200MB) BlackBerry data plan and the phone seems to work fine (as a phone, at least!)

May 3, 2012I finally updated my iPhone to 5.1. I waited so long because of the fiasco updating my iPod Touch when 5.0 first came out. I thought it worked, I was pleased Apple worked out the bugs. Lo and behold, all of my apps and folders disappeared before my eyes. No problem I thought, I did a back up. Restore from back up. Fifteen minutes later, it looks exactly the same. Isn't a backup supposed to be of everything on the system so that if something goes wrong, you just revert back to the back up and either try again or wait for the process to be fixed? Seriously, get your stuff together.
