Aug 26, 2014I have a problem with my iPhone 5s (version 7.1.2)..i was about to restore the iPhone, but iTunes kept telling me to close ''find my iPhone'' and i tried severial times to do that but it didn't work..so i decided to delete it from iCloud, and delete everything.. And after that i turned it on DFU mode to restore it.
It starts fine with '' connect to iTunes'' and i did that, so it can restore its original settings, but when the load bar on my iPhone screen reach to the last, it just doenst move anymore, I've been waiting for hours, but nothing happens..and i've tried many different things, such as restart both mac and iPhone
Everything is up to date (iTunes, and my mac)i tried different computer, a windows and other usb cabel...i also tried Recboot, but nothing has worked.. and now its just stucked in ''connect to iTunes''

Dec 7, 2014My iPhone 5s will not respond. i was in the middle of doing a system settings restore when it became stuck on the load screen. now when i manually shut it down it wants to turn back on and still be stuck on the load screen and the bar will not fill up at all... if i call apple will they fix this over the phone or will they tell me to get lost since i purchased the phone second hand a few months back?... Mar 12, 2010Today my JB'd 3G on 3.1.2 went into a funky state and I attempted to reboot. Since then I've been stuck on the Apple logo at start up and nothing.
So, i put the phone in DFU mode and Itunes 9 is giving me the option to "Update & Restore", HOWEVER, I dont want to do this because I want to stay on 3.1.2 for obvious reasons. I also have been reading stuff about SHSH but I have no clue what this is so one can assume I never did anything prior regarding SHSH.
When itunes has the pop up on the screen saying "update and restore" can I hold "shift and click "update&restore" to choose a 312 ipsw, or is that option only available if restoring without being in DFU mode.

May 26, 2012I have a 3g iphone 4.2. It was unlocked and jailbroken. I was using tmobile so I needed to have it unlocked but I recently changed to sprint. I wanted to restore the phone and find a way to use my tmobile sim card for sprint but when I clicked restore. It had the 1015 error . I tried it one more time and now it is stuck in restore mode. It shows an apple symbol with a bar underneath that is clear.

May 8, 2012Yesterday my sister told me she had a problem with her iPhone.She was on 5.1.0 and updated OTA to 5.1.1. When the update was done, her iPhone rebooted and displayed the 'connect to iTunes' screen. She gives it to me, I do what I can and after several restores the only thing that shows up after a restore is the 'connect to iTunes' screen. In iTunes, it says it's in recovery mode and needs restoring....again.

May 11, 2012I started to upgrade my ios today. Next time I pulled my phone out it wouldn't respond. After holding the home screen the connect to iTunes image popped up and wouldn't go away. When I got home and connected, I was told to restore. I did so, and after the thirty-minute software update, it was now returned to the connect to iTunes screen and is giving me the same message upon connecting to iTunes.

May 28, 2012This morning I connected my iPhone 3GS to my computer and itunes told me it couldn't recognize my phone and needed to restore. This had never happened before but I clicked restore anyways but recieved an error message. After about an hour of trial and error going through Apple's diagnostics I fixed the problem by enabling Itunes in Norton Security, which had just updated recently so I thought that was the issue. Itunes began letting me begin the restore process (without showing an error/failure message) but simply freezes every time halfway through the update. Each time the bar at the top will will up about halfway and then stop forever. If anyone can help me with this issue I would really appreciate it! Obviously I use my phone everyday and it is completely unusable in it's current state.

Jun 19, 2012I recently purchased an iPhone 4s and I set it up via iCloud and it worked later when I arrived home after going with my dad for a party my iPhone would not start it was in recovery mode so I tried putting it in iTunes and starting restoring it then after it was 75% done it rebooted and iTunes says "the iPhone 'iPhone' could not be restored an unknown error occurred (1) so I tried again but still no luck and I also tried putting it in dfu mode but still no luck. I don't think it has been jail broken because I don't know anything about jail breaking .

Aug 21, 2014My iPhone4 needs to be restored but each time I give iTunes the okay to start the restore it'll extract software or w/e and then go to "waiting on iPhone" then it'll do that for hours on end until I finally unplug it, I've tried several times to redo it but it doesn't work. I don't actually use it as a phone I just hook it to wifi and use it that way and keep all my music on it because I have a phone and I received this for free but can't afford the phone service.

Everytime I would try and sync my music it would disappear from the itues menu but still say 'syncing'. Then I tried to restore it after this failed (by getting an error message) I tried to re-jailbreak it and now it will not leave the Apple logo. Mar 2, 2010Hopefully someone can provide a step-by-step way to fix my problem without having to restore.I have a 32GB 3GS with firmware 3.1.2 (SHSH backed up on Cydia), jailbroken and unlocked using Blackra1n/Blacksn0w. I bought this phone back in July/2009 so this phone doesn't have the new bootrom.
The phone has been working fine for months. Just today, I was using the Facebook app and it looked like a call came in and was cut off. The call sent me back to the Springboard and I couldn't detect my cell network (Rogers). I brought up SBsettings and restarted the iPhone. When it restarted, it was stuck on the Apple logo. It sometimes take minutes after a crash for the springboard to come up so I waited and waited. After about 10 minutes I sense something is not right. I reset the iphone (power+home) and tried it again. No change. the iPhone is stuck at the Apple logo.
I hooked it up to my computer at work to see if the PC can recognize the phone being hooked up (and maybe I can SSH into it to fix it), but the iPhone doesn't get recognized.
So is there a way I could fix this problem without having to restore (I'm at work, so I can't do a restore until I get home tonight anyway). Also, if I'm forced to do a restore, what happens to my pictures and videos that's on my phone?
Edit: After having the iPhone stuck at the Apple logo and hooked up to the PC for the last 10 or so minutes, I see a wait icon appear frozen just below the Apple logo (they are almost on top of each other). But the wait icon is frozen and not moving. I'm not sure what this means but the iPhone seems to be stuck still.

Apr 15, 2012My phone was running slow so I turned it off. When I turned it off and tried to turn it back on it had the little connect to itunes symbol so I went and plugges it in. As soon as I did it said that it couldnt connect to itunes server so i got on here and went and updated my stuff and everything and then tried it again. It kept saying there was an error (-23). I have no idea what to do because I got it to where it would start to update and it would stop after about 30 minutes to an hour saying that an unknown error had occured. Help anyone?

May 7, 2012I have been trying to restore my iPhone for about 12 hours now, and I'm about to pull my hair out if it doesn't work soon. The restore to factory settings goes fine, and then when I begin to set it up, it first gives me trouble activating it, but I just press continue when it says it hasn't been activated and a few minutes later I have signal. The next problem arises when I try and restore it from a iCloud backup. I have tried 3 different back ups, all 3 have given me the same problem. They say there is anywhere from 15-45 hours remaining, and it gets stuck at about a centimeter along the progress bar of the restoring settings part. I have not been able to get past this. Quite a few times it has said that my internet connection failed and I'll need to restart the restore. I know this most likely isn't true because I'll be on the computer at that exact point and not have an issue with the computer. I also have a very stable internet connection, and very fast. When I have done restores in the past it took about five minutes.
