My iphone 5 keeps getting to about 80% re-storage then it cancels out on me and iTunes says there's an unknown error (9) that occurred. What do i do?
Also if i try to contact apple they want my serial number, but how will they call me if my iPhone's not turning on :/ The struggle is real.

One of my podcasts was locked up so I did a reset. I do not want to erase all data only a soft reboot. When I turn my iphone on it prompts me to connect to itunes on my iMac, which I do and it does recognize the iphone, but it stays stuck on the connect to itunes screen.

I connected my phone to the PC and opened itunes which gave me the message that it did not recognize my phone and would have to restore factory setting. I tried to reboot my phone by holding down both buttons (no red slider ever appears) until it turned off. Once I turned it back on it went right back to that screen. I tried to restore factory setting and it gave me an error.
This is now know as the SCREEN OF DEATH!!!!!

I dropped my phone and the touch screen has stopped working, it's not cracked at all simply doesn't respond to my touch. It has been suggested that restoring to factory settings may fix the problem though when I go to connect to iTunes it's not connecting to my phone as I need to enter the password. I have tried turning the phone off but this will just restart when it's connected to the computer.

My iPhone 5 is suddenly stuck in recovery mode. It won't turn on, the connect to iTunes logo just shows up. I really don't want to restore it because I have 300+ pictures from vacation that have not yet been synced to my photo stream. I guess my question is is there anyway that I can kick my phone out of recovery mode long enough to get those photos in my stream without restoring it? View 6 Replies View RelatedToday my JB'd 3G on 3.1.2 went into a funky state and I attempted to reboot. Since then I've been stuck on the Apple logo at start up and nothing.
So, i put the phone in DFU mode and Itunes 9 is giving me the option to "Update & Restore", HOWEVER, I dont want to do this because I want to stay on 3.1.2 for obvious reasons. I also have been reading stuff about SHSH but I have no clue what this is so one can assume I never did anything prior regarding SHSH.
When itunes has the pop up on the screen saying "update and restore" can I hold "shift and click "update&restore" to choose a 312 ipsw, or is that option only available if restoring without being in DFU mode.
My iPod says 'iPod is disabled. connect to iTunes' but when i conncet to iTunes, it doesnt connect?
