HTC :: Hero Missing Proper Region / Language
Mar 1, 2010Greetings to all on HoFo! Long time lurker, first time poster. Please stay tuned after the question for some remarks.I purchased an HTC Hero months ago from Amazon before I was aware that TELUS was bringing them to Canada. While I love the phone there are a few issues that I would like to address, namely that the there isn't a Canada (English) region to choose when setting up the phone.I have tried my best to search through this and the xda forums, and haven't found out how to correct this. I assume that I will need another ROM, one that has the language/region. Further, I am unable to use 3G on the Fido network, only EDGE and I can't access paid content in the Market, though I think I read somewhere that the EDGE/Market issue is a Fido/Rogers problem (along with the SMS time stamp issue) and there may not be anything I can do for it.
I suppose the big question I have is: what would be missing from this phone that I would want to add in order to take full advantage of the phone?I would also like to thank you all for helping in the past. I have owned several phones (P4000 amongst others) and have always come here to find the answer. Great site and thanks in advance!

Mar 29, 2011Had some real problems with my N8 so it's been to the Nokia Repair Shop and had a complete rebuild. Everything seemed alright apart from the Conversations feature, often when I send a text message within it, an error message of 'Feature Not Supported' but after a number of attempts it eventually sends.
That's fine for people I have sent messages to but it seems when I send a new message to a new contact just through creating a new message I get an error of 'Message Editor: Feature Not Supported' which means I can't wish my friend Happy Birthday today!!!! This happens all the time when using the New Message function. I've tried to restore to factory defaults but with no luck.
Nokia Nseries :: Camera Feature Not Supported Of N96 After Software?
Jun 12, 2012I updated my Nokia N96 to the new firmware version 30.033 after which my phone camera is not working. When I press on the camera button it gives the message (Camera Feature not Supported). I played many tricks with it but of no use. I reset my phone to the original factory setting through (*#7370#) and Multi-finger process but of no help. I even reinstalled the updated version but the problem still persists. My camera worked fine before the update but now it gives the said message and the phone hanges up on pressing the camera button.

May 15, 2010I have recently bought an E71 in Oman, where I work and live, with an Arabic/English keyboard.There is so much squashed on each key (and the English bit was so small) that I have decided to change to an English only keyboard.I have done this at a cost of 15GBP whilst visiting Dubai.It works fine except that some of the keys do not now create on screen what is pressed on the keyboard.For example if i press the '?' or the 'Full stop' is not where it should be.In other words the phone still thinks that i have an Arabic / English keyboard and not an English only keyboard.Its like an American and UK 'PC' keyboard.
