As a frequent traveller to Japan, I would like the ability to view Japanese characters/fonts when browsing online. Or when reading emails written in Japanese. I have downloaded successfully the Japanese translator for the Dictionary. Which displays Japanses characters with no problem. But when I browse online the Japanese characters are unreadable.
I have tried changing the Default encoding setting: Options/Settings/Page/Default encoding. Then reloading the web pages. But same result. I don't necessarily need the ability to write in Japanese. Though it would be nice. But I would like the ability to view Japanese websites, and email's in their correct front. Are there language packs available for download? Or should I be directing my enquiry to my local Nokia Care agent?

Jan 15, 2010bought a nokia 5800 from hong kong with preinstalled chinese and english language, but my bro recently purchased a nokia 5530 from the same place, and it also has the same language packs preinstalled. however, the 5530 can view the arabic font (but not write in arabic) as in if he gets a txt messeage in arabic, but my 5800 cant? anyone knows how i cud install the arabic language pack in my 5800. i know they are already preinstalled by nokia, but since stores can do it, then there must be a way to do it!

Aug 4, 2010I bought an X6 last week. I'm in Australia, and realized later, after signing a contract for 2 years, that the phone doesn't support Chinese or any European languages. It only comes with English and Philipino. If I get a text in Chinese, it won't display...it just displays squares. Nor can I use the keyboard to input Chinese characters.
Nokia won't provide a solution. They won't supply a software upgrade or any help. The dealers privately tell me I would have to take it to a non-authorized repairer to get a software change or try to find some software elsewhere, maybe a torrent file or from some other untrustworthy software source.

I'm wondering if there's somehow or somewhere I can download an Arabic language package to install in my regional settings.
