As a frequent traveller to Japan, I would like the ability to view Japanese characters/fonts when browsing online. Or when reading emails written in Japanese. I have downloaded successfully the Japanese translator for the Dictionary. Which displays Japanses characters with no problem. But when I browse online the Japanese characters are unreadable.
I have tried changing the Default encoding setting: Options/Settings/Page/Default encoding. Then reloading the web pages. But same result. I don't necessarily need the ability to write in Japanese. Though it would be nice. But I would like the ability to view Japanese websites, and email's in their correct front. Are there language packs available for download? Or should I be directing my enquiry to my local Nokia Care agent?
Is Japanese language available for the Xenon anywhere? The only Asian language listed under the Languages menu is Korean. But when I get e-mails in Japanese, they are partly readable (the hiragana and katakana are visible and displayed correctly, but the kanji don't show up properly). If the Xenon didn't ship with Japanese support, then is there some way to add it into the phone?
I can't change my Xperia X8 phone language to Japanese. I`ve try, to go to SETTING --> LANGUAGE & KEYBOARD --> SELECT LOCALE but i can't find option for Japanese,

I bought an X6 last week. I'm in Australia, and realized later, after signing a contract for 2 years, that the phone doesn't support Chinese or any European languages. It only comes with English and Philipino. If I get a text in Chinese, it won't display...it just displays squares. Nor can I use the keyboard to input Chinese characters.
Nokia won't provide a solution. They won't supply a software upgrade or any help. The dealers privately tell me I would have to take it to a non-authorized repairer to get a software change or try to find some software elsewhere, maybe a torrent file or from some other untrustworthy software source.
I am trying to change the input language on my Blackberry Bold 9790 from English to Japanese i have used so many versions of blackberry desktop manager and i just can not seem to get it to work.
I downloaded China Ovi map, but all the points of interests, such as hotels, are shown with squares, rather than chinese characters. Is there a way to enable chinese language support?

All arab users have a huge problem represented by the lack of arabic language in the phone and the SE help center advises us to use Third-Party application that supports arabic language. Is there any intention to support arabic language in the xperia x10 in the coming update or any time in the near or far future?
2 days ago my phone (htc explorer) showed a notification about a system update stating "The update will support Hindi & Tamil languages"..I proceeded with the update. For more clarity I googled about the same, and there were many websites where it was written that HTC has released this update only for HTC customers in India and after applying this update they will be able to view and compose content in Hindi and Tamil languages, but sadly I was unable to find any option for doing that.
HTC Explorer gets Hindi and Tamil language support
HTC Explorer now comes with full Hindi and Tamil language support - Mobile Phone | ThinkDigit News
But yes, something which got updated was the language & keyboard settings menu on my htc explorer..now it started giving one more option by the name "HTC Indic IME"...selecting which I got choices for using 3 types of keyboards for Hindi & Tamil. Please refer to the screenshot for further clarity.i have selected only the Devanagri keyboard, but still I have no idea how can I type in Hindi as I am only getting the standard English keyboard when typing anything on the phone. I know there are many apps on play store for this purpose but still I am curious about using this one.
We need Indic Language support on Atrix. Its a great phone, but neither Android nor Motoblur has added support for Indian language fonts (like Hindi, Marathi, Kannada, Tamil, Telgu, Gujarati, Punjabi, Bengali, etc.). Its about time Motorola take it upon themselves to resolve this issue. This is one key issue that will stop millions of Indians in the US and all over the world from getting this phone.
I would like to install the East Asian language software on my Blackberry Bold handheld. Unfortunately my wireless service provider (Vodafone NL) only supports the multi language software and not the all language or East Asian language software.
So therefore my question, how could I download the Asian language support although my wireless service provides doesn't provides any?
In the old days, and in this age its only one year ago, it was possible to download all the necessary software on the Blackberry website, so on my 4.0 OS I could easily add the East Asian language software. Recently I ubdated my handheld with the 6.O OS and now I am confronted with this problem. Hence I now its possible to get the East Asian language support, and after enjoying its advantages for more than a year I can't do anything without.
I am now using C7 (product code: 059D622) with Symbian Belle updated. I noted that there is still no split-screen support in inputting Chinese characters. However, there is split-screen support for inputting English. It is appearingly not fair to the Chinese users. Is there any schedule to have the split-screen support for inputting chinese in future?
