I have updated the Symbian Anna yesterday and now when I touch the conversations icon in messaging it shows: Messaging:Feature not supported. In the previous software it was working alright.

View 1 Replies View RelatedHad some real problems with my N8 so it's been to the Nokia Repair Shop and had a complete rebuild. Everything seemed alright apart from the Conversations feature, often when I send a text message within it, an error message of 'Feature Not Supported' but after a number of attempts it eventually sends.
That's fine for people I have sent messages to but it seems when I send a new message to a new contact just through creating a new message I get an error of 'Message Editor: Feature Not Supported' which means I can't wish my friend Happy Birthday today!!!! This happens all the time when using the New Message function. I've tried to restore to factory defaults but with no luck.

I even reinstalled the updated version but the problem still persists. My camera worked fine before the update but now it gives the said message and the phone hanges up on pressing the camera button.

When I press on the camera main button or open it from the menu, it gives a strange message " camera feature not supported" and the camera application can not be closed then till the phone is powered off. Then phone can not be downgraded to the previous or lower firmware. Hard reset to factory setting does not work.

This is useful to check how much data traffic has been used by the phone if you have a limited data plan. I use a small data plan because when I am at home I have my ADSL with wifi, which can be used with my N8.Further I have noticed the closing of applications that are Exit after using is very slow and sometimes stay active after the Exit
View 2 Replies View RelatedAfter updating to ANNA, my phone does not disconnect from my cars built in hands free kit. It worked without issue before the update. The phone does not close the connection. The only way to close the connection is to restart the phone, as the bluetooth connection hangs if I try and do it from the connection tab. I have done a hard reset on my phone with no success. I have also tried all the other deleting the connection and re-pairing suggestions out there, with no successful result.

After update this stopped working. I still have an option to turn smart dialing on/off (when turning on/off I see a change on the screen - the part where numbers show up gets bigger when smart dialing turned off) but there are no suggestions displayed when entering numbers.

View 4 Replies View RelatedI have applied the Anna update SymTorrent is now crashing and doesn't work anymore. It opens, lets me select the torrent file, searches for any previously downloaded files for this torrent, the torrent is shown as paused, then SymTorrent just disappears.
Not sure if related, but as per this article [URL].. I have reinstalled the 3 QT applications and deleted any temp sisx files, hs made no difference.
My N8 keeps on rebooting after updating to Anna.The only way around is switching back to GSM, which is no solution.

View 2 Replies View RelatedCamera has been working fine before Anna update pack 1/2. Now it doesn't geotag all photos automatically. Some photos are geotagged and some are missing information. Very annoying! If I put Maps application on at the same time, camera geotags photos fine, but not without Nokia Maps. Not very handy open two applications. On camera interface geotag icon can show missing location info, but it still geotags photos.

I updated to Anna on an N8 during the first days of the release and I'm still enjoying my phone.
Firstly, Swype isn't working on my phone, it has never worked before and i was hoping it would with the Anna update but it still doesn't. Whenever I install the App, my phone freezes, i can't open anything that requires use of the Keyboard(Messages, Conversations, WhatsApp). The phone just keeps quite until I uninstall Swype.
Secondly, When you use Grid, there is an icon called Signal Boost, when opening it, it says System error... Not sure if anyone has ever experienced this.
Lastly (for now), are we supposed to purchase Shazam and QuickOffice 7 or a plan is being made to have an update that allows full access to both the apps in the near future? N8-00,Galaxy Tab 10.1
I recently updated my N8 to Symbian Anna w/o any problems. After the update, the phone will not send/receive phone calls/text messages after it has been sitting in locked mode (the screen displays the default clock) after about 30 minutes. Once I have restarted the phone it works properly until it returns to the locked mode. I have performed a factory reset on the device with out any luck.

I am starting to become a bit desperate as the gallery simply will not work no matter what i do, .jpgs wont open, and my phone has been handicapped in the most literal sense of the word. Also i've tried hard resetting twice but to no result. On address A the reply-to option is B. then i send an email to address C from A. when address C clicks reply, the reply address becomes B not A.this is a feature included in the built in email client, it's available in Gmail and also Blackberry.I would like to see nokia implement this.I'm using a 5800 with messaging installed but not using due to the lack of this feature.
