Nokia Nseries :: N8 Conversation Messaging: Feature Not Supported
Aug 27, 2011
i just updated the software on my phone using ovi suite and everything works fine just every time i click on my conversation link i get messaging: feature not supported, this is really annoying as i love to use this feature, this phone is under a month old?
I have updated the Symbian Anna yesterday and now when I touch the conversations icon in messaging it shows: Messaging:Feature not supported. In the previous software it was working alright.
Have had my N8 for well over a year now, and made frequent use (almost Daily in the Car) of the FM Transmitter feature, today this appears to have been somehow Disabled, with the widget being removed from the menus, when trying to activate from the menus I get the message 'Feature Not Supported'.
Had some real problems with my N8 so it's been to the Nokia Repair Shop and had a complete rebuild. Everything seemed alright apart from the Conversations feature, often when I send a text message within it, an error message of 'Feature Not Supported' but after a number of attempts it eventually sends.
That's fine for people I have sent messages to but it seems when I send a new message to a new contact just through creating a new message I get an error of 'Message Editor: Feature Not Supported' which means I can't wish my friend Happy Birthday today!!!! This happens all the time when using the New Message function. I've tried to restore to factory defaults but with no luck.
I updated my Nokia N96 to the new firmware version 30.033 after which my phone camera is not working. When I press on the camera button it gives the message (Camera Feature not Supported). I played many tricks with it but of no use. I reset my phone to the original factory setting through (*#7370#) and Multi-finger process but of no help. I even reinstalled the updated version but the problem still persists. My camera worked fine before the update but now it gives the said message and the phone hanges up on pressing the camera button.
I upgraded my N8-00 with Belle but now I cant able to share my Gallery images on my social network, when ever I click on the share button in gallery it gives message 'Feature not supported'..
I try to access my music player on my phone it tells me aknnfysrv: Feature Not Supported. This has been going on for about a week now ever since I updated the apps on my phone. I dont even know what this means! does anyone know how i can fix this error?
having an issue on the Nokia N8 startup after updating to Symbian Anna. Everytime the phone rebooted, the message "Phone Setup: Feature Not Supported" appears.
I updated my phone to firmware version 30.033 via NSU which caused my phone`s camera not working any more, while prior to the update it worked fine. When I press on the camera main button or open it from the menu, it gives a strange message " camera feature not supported" and the camera application can not be closed then till the phone is powered off. Then phone can not be downgraded to the previous or lower firmware. Hard reset to factory setting does not work.
i try to help him yesterday to download some application like Internet application but the problem is when i try to open the program it said 'feature not supported' also i download a game but when i open it said something like expired i forgot exactly whats the error.i think the only problem is the bout certificates and i dont know how to fix hope you can help me.btw his phone is nokia e61i.

I request nokia developers to help fix this problem and check their updates for buge before uploading them to the server to save users from problems & worries.
I bought Nokia E71 and everything works perfect, but offlate when i try to open the camera it says: feature not supported and i have a friend that says his E71 have the same problem from the day he bought it.
Nokia suite came up with an update today for the maps, installed, phone restarted and when I open Maps message "Feature not supported" seems like people who have updated are facing problem. /t5/Nseries-and-Symbian-Smartphones/Nokia-N8-Software-Update-Nokia-Maps-with-enhanced/td-p/1205909Trying to install via beta labs didn't help, when I check application manager I couldn't find maps application anywhere.
I can't access my gallery and mail on my 701, anytime I try to open them it gives me an error tone and says "Homescreen: Feature not supported". At the same time I can't open any picture, it gives me "format not supported" message, as such my camera has been rendered useless since I can't view the pictures.
tried installing the ms apps using a third party app since i saw it worked on other people's phones and i thought i would give it a shot i was wrong for about 3-4 days i've been scouring the internet trying to find a solution to the Home screen:feature not supported bug or whatever it is, but to no avail. I am starting to become a bit desperate as the gallery simply will not work no matter what i do, .jpgs wont open, and my phone has been handicapped in the most literal sense of the word. Also i've tried hard resetting twice but to no result. I've considered hacking the phone and installing a custom firmware but i didnt want to destroy the phone completely, and also waiting for the feature pack might take too long for me.
I have noticed that the nokia messaging solution dose not have the option of a custom "reply-to" address.how it works--- i have email address A and B. On address A the reply-to option is B. then i send an email to address C from A. when address C clicks reply, the reply address becomes B not A.this is a feature included in the built in email client, it's available in Gmail and also Blackberry.I would like to see nokia implement this.I'm using a 5800 with messaging installed but not using due to the lack of this feature.

I just installed on my N8 running v25 the new Nokia Maps v3.8 which came up as an update on Nokia Suite. Installation completed OK, but I cannot launch the application - "Maps: Feature not supported".I cannot see any Maps entry in the list of Installed Apps in the App manager, so I cannot uninstall.I have downloaded maps to my handset and I can see them in Nokia Suite no problem.
Since I updated my N8 to nokia belle, my messages in inbox only show up as conversations. I click on "Messaging", I see converstions - but I want to be able to see the folders (inbox, sent items, drafts, etc...) see folders instead of conversations.
m using nokia 5800..... i want to ask u wht shud i do so dat i can use the messages department as a conversation...... like it is ther in nokia 5233 or blackberry......is ther any update for that?
I have a nokia 5233...it does not contain 3G feature in it. I want to have 3G in my phone. Is there any way through which I can put/install/add 3G feature in my phone.
I found that my N8 cannot play mpg files, which to me seems like a huge limitation.Which media formats does it support, and are there any way to increase the number of supported formats without resorting to tedious converting software?
how to remove conversation mode of messaging in sony xperia ray. I just want to organise my messages in different folder like inbox, outbox, setitems etc.
Will the N8 get any of it, especially the smaller widgets? Nokia, come on, these massive widgets reduce the phone's functionality. Not to mention that some widgets are poorly designed (like social having refresh at the bottom of a list, or if you click on it, you're not in "all activity", and the new mail widget). The mail, music player, and social widgets are just too huge to use and say the phone has better interface functionality over an iPhone and Androids. The social sub-widgets are quite terrible, as is the entire app now. The last version was pretty near perfect, but of course, not good enough for Nokia. They have to add bloat to streamlined, functional apps.
How group message replies are supposed to function when you reply to a group text but uncheck the "group conversation" box. When I uncheck the box is everyone still supposed to receive my reply but just in a separate thread to them only via SMS?
Anyone else who owns a nokia 701 in Canada been able to update to belle feature pack 1 and 2? I know FP1 has been available for months but it hasn't appeared on my sw update or nokia suite update. However just today I got the homescreen widgets update so I know I'm still getting updates. Anyone been able to update to belle FP1 or FP2?
was wondering if there is call screen lock feature in nokia belle? Because i couldn't find it any where in my nokia 701, even there is no option to edit the normal lock screen or button? Why there are bugs and such small and important features are missing in nokia's belle OS?
