was wondering if there is call screen lock feature in nokia belle? Because i couldn't find it any where in my nokia 701, even there is no option to edit the normal lock screen or button? Why there are bugs and such small and important features are missing in nokia's belle OS?

View 6 Replies View RelatedI'm posting this on behalf of a friend who has asked me to take a look at their E6-00 which has a problem that when a call is received the screen blacks out instantly and therefore she can't see the caller display.
I've read elsewhere that it is an issue with the proximity sensor on the front of the device but nowhere states if there is a definitive fix for the problem.
This did not happen prior to the phone being upgraded to Anna. I have since upgraded it again to Belle in the hope that this will remedy the issue but it's still happening.
if their are any OTA updates or downloads that will sort this out or is it just a "live with it" firmware flaw?
After PR1.1 the dialer rotates to landscape mode on the N8, but the call screen that comes up after this, is still in portrait mode.
Yet, on the C6, the call screen also rotates to landcape mode with PR1.1 (see screenshot of C6 call screen in landscape mode) Why does the C6 call screeen rotate landscape yet the N8 does not?
My N8 screen is going black whenever I am making calls in the bright sunlight. So I cannot view the dialler at all and unable to end the calls. This problem really annoys me a lot.

1. Answer
2. Unlock
Neither work. I know I can use the buttons, but why have the other options on the screen if they don't work. What about the other options like silence or reject, or send message. All gone. The new version is **bleep**. Also, when I set an alarm, I can't silence it, or stop it using the touch screen. This all seems to happen when the phone is locked, but if the phone is unlocked, I get the older options.
I don't know how I'm expected to unlock my phone just before someone rings me to enable me to have all the existing options, or wake up before my alarm in order to unlock the phone, so I can snooze or stop it. can I revert back to V31?

View 5 Replies View RelatedWill the N8 get any of it, especially the smaller widgets? Nokia, come on, these massive widgets reduce the phone's functionality. Not to mention that some widgets are poorly designed (like social having refresh at the bottom of a list, or if you click on it, you're not in "all activity", and the new mail widget). The mail, music player, and social widgets are just too huge to use and say the phone has better interface functionality over an iPhone and Androids. The social sub-widgets are quite terrible, as is the entire app now. The last version was pretty near perfect, but of course, not good enough for Nokia. They have to add bloat to streamlined, functional apps.

View 2 Replies View RelatedHad some real problems with my N8 so it's been to the Nokia Repair Shop and had a complete rebuild. Everything seemed alright apart from the Conversations feature, often when I send a text message within it, an error message of 'Feature Not Supported' but after a number of attempts it eventually sends.
That's fine for people I have sent messages to but it seems when I send a new message to a new contact just through creating a new message I get an error of 'Message Editor: Feature Not Supported' which means I can't wish my friend Happy Birthday today!!!! This happens all the time when using the New Message function. I've tried to restore to factory defaults but with no luck.
I updated my Nokia N96 to the new firmware version 30.033 after which my phone camera is not working. When I press on the camera button it gives the message (Camera Feature not Supported). I played many tricks with it but of no use. I reset my phone to the original factory setting through (*#7370#) and Multi-finger process but of no help. I even reinstalled the updated version but the problem still persists. My camera worked fine before the update but now it gives the said message and the phone hanges up on pressing the camera button.
