My N8 screen is going black whenever I am making calls in the bright sunlight. So I cannot view the dialler at all and unable to end the calls. This problem really annoys me a lot.
View 4 RepliesHas anyone else run across this issue? If I have the Nokia 808 in Creative mode and manually adjust the ISO, sometimes I get dark images. This is in bright daylight with my subject completely visible and well-lit in the view finder. It doesn't really matter what the ISO setting is, the pictures will come out dark. If I choose Automatic and then back to Creative, it will "fix" it.
That's not entirely true. I don't know what fixes it. But it will return to normal. I tried to make it happen before writing this note, but could not repeat it indoors. It's possible the bright sunlight was part of the problem...as if the 808 overcompensated for all the light.that gave me an idea...looking at the EXIF properties of the dark images, Lightsource is "Unknown".On the properly exposed images, it says "Daylight". Perhaps this is a clue?

View 1 Replies View RelatedI'm posting this on behalf of a friend who has asked me to take a look at their E6-00 which has a problem that when a call is received the screen blacks out instantly and therefore she can't see the caller display.
I've read elsewhere that it is an issue with the proximity sensor on the front of the device but nowhere states if there is a definitive fix for the problem.
This did not happen prior to the phone being upgraded to Anna. I have since upgraded it again to Belle in the hope that this will remedy the issue but it's still happening.
if their are any OTA updates or downloads that will sort this out or is it just a "live with it" firmware flaw?
was wondering if there is call screen lock feature in nokia belle? Because i couldn't find it any where in my nokia 701, even there is no option to edit the normal lock screen or button? Why there are bugs and such small and important features are missing in nokia's belle OS?

Yet, on the C6, the call screen also rotates to landcape mode with PR1.1 (see screenshot of C6 call screen in landscape mode) Why does the C6 call screeen rotate landscape yet the N8 does not?

An elementary question (this is the first touch screen or smartphone phone I've ever used, so I'm still adapting to its conventions): when I am in a call, and I move away (by error, or to consult other screens) from the in-progress call screen that has the red button to terminate the call, how do I get back to that call screen to correctly terminate the call?The user guide does not have any information on this;when I touch the "Call" link on any other screen (at the lower right-hand corner), I just get the dialer screen, not the in-progress screen. 1. Answer
2. Unlock
Neither work. I know I can use the buttons, but why have the other options on the screen if they don't work. What about the other options like silence or reject, or send message. All gone. The new version is **bleep**. Also, when I set an alarm, I can't silence it, or stop it using the touch screen. This all seems to happen when the phone is locked, but if the phone is unlocked, I get the older options.
I don't know how I'm expected to unlock my phone just before someone rings me to enable me to have all the existing options, or wake up before my alarm in order to unlock the phone, so I can snooze or stop it. can I revert back to V31?

View 17 Replies View RelatedEven though I'm eligible for iPhone 4 upgrade and love my iPhone 3G I'm seriously considering switching to VZW simply because at&t is intolerable here in NYC (first it was data, now it's voice).I set my sights on Incredible and played with it at the VZW store. I can live with it fine. One thing that concerns me is screen visibility under sunlight. I use iPhone quite a lot on the street and really grew to appreciate how visible its screen. Any opinions from those who used both phones on how Incredible stacks in this regard against iPhone?

Trying to make a phone call, read text, email, or even just scrolling through apps is very difficult because the screen scrolls down to the very bottom very quickly. When I scoll back up, it scrolls right back to the bottom. When I'm not outside or a bright glare is not on the screen it works great.

Its like a gradient from left to right, if you open the keyboard it's very apparent its like a gradient from white to gray. My IPhone started to crash in a weird way. When it crashes randomly, I see that the whole screen is black with few bright lines and then its turns off immediately, sometime I been able to start it but usually it starts again and crashes the same way again after few seconds or minutes. when its connected to electricity its usually working fine.
I tried the following:
1. Replaced to iOS3 , iOS4, iOS5
2. Replaced the battery twice
3. Replaced the power connector
4. Replaced the power adapter then changed the battery again.
When I replaced the battery it worked for a month before same thing happened again. I have to note that if I am not touching the phone at all, it will stay on till the battery will end. Nothing works! Its Apple I bought it for their reputation and I'm disappointed!

my screen for the last few days has been goin bright then dim constantly. I can turn it off and back on it will stop. until i plug it back in thenit starts again. I have even done a fdr a few time to see if that would fix the problem.
