Galaxy S6 :: Locked At Calling Screen During Phone Call
Jun 1, 2015when i'm in a phone call i can't use the mobile phone at all. I mean i get locked in the calling screen and i'm unable to move to desktop, go to drawer menu or just pick some app from recent menu. It didn't happen on other Android phones nor on my old Samsung Galaxy S3.

Mar 9, 2011I just received my N8 from repair and they changed the main chip for it with the newest software. Now it gives me black screen when calling / receiving calls. It also does this when clock has alert on.I can turn the screen on with the "unlocking slide" but this in general is extremely annoying and pointless. I was thinking to take it back to repair shop, but wanted to ask about this first here.

Jul 6, 2012My calls come in fine when my phone is awake, but as soon as it goes to sleep (whether manually or through auto-lock), it loses the FIDO connection and my calls don't come in. Once I unlock my Phone I can see missed calls and some are going to Voice Mail. People that call me get a a voicemail. This was happening after upgraded to IOS5.1.1

Nov 27, 2011When I first got my N8-00 I had no problems at all, until 6 months later I dropped it from a height of 2ft. Then I got all the problems, automatically turning off and restarting 100 times a day etc, etc. I took it to my phone supplier who replaced it with a new one, that had the new Anna software installed. Since then whenever I get or make calls the screen goes totally blank.
It is really annoying as I cannot see who is calling or if the call has gone through. I have to manually unlock the phone to attend the call. Also having problems answering the calls as sometimes I have to press the answer button 3-4 times. Finally now 3 months after having this phone it has started turning off and restarting automatically, but only about once a week, so far. I have all the latest Anna updates but these problems still persist.

1) WHEN SOMEONE CALLS, THE SCREEN SHOWS TWO ON-SCREEN BUTTONS, 'UNLOCK' AND 'ANSWER' BUTTON.THESE BUTTONS ARE NOT FUNCTIONAL ON TOUCH.I ATTENDED CALL WITH 'RECIEVE CALL' BUTTON MANUALLY.
2) ALSO,WHEN THE ALARM RINGS IT SHOWS SAME KINDA SCREEN AS ABOVE BUT WITH TWO ON-SCREEN BUTTONS OF 'STOP' N 'SNOOZE'.THESE ON-SCREEN BUTTONS ARE NON FUNCTIONAL.I HAVE TO STOP ALARM BY 'END CALL' BUTTON MANUALLY.
3) SOMETIMES THE SCREEN GOES WEIRD KINDA BLUR.TO GET IT BACK I HAVE TO LOCK AND UNLOCK SCREEN

Jun 5, 2012I'm posting this on behalf of a friend who has asked me to take a look at their E6-00 which has a problem that when a call is received the screen blacks out instantly and therefore she can't see the caller display.
I've read elsewhere that it is an issue with the proximity sensor on the front of the device but nowhere states if there is a definitive fix for the problem.
This did not happen prior to the phone being upgraded to Anna. I have since upgraded it again to Belle in the hope that this will remedy the issue but it's still happening.
if their are any OTA updates or downloads that will sort this out or is it just a "live with it" firmware flaw?

Yet, on the C6, the call screen also rotates to landcape mode with PR1.1 (see screenshot of C6 call screen in landscape mode) Why does the C6 call screeen rotate landscape yet the N8 does not?

Feb 19, 2010Just upgraded to V40 on my 5800. Now when the phone rings I get 2 options on the touch screen:
1. Answer
2. Unlock
Neither work. I know I can use the buttons, but why have the other options on the screen if they don't work. What about the other options like silence or reject, or send message. All gone. The new version is **bleep**. Also, when I set an alarm, I can't silence it, or stop it using the touch screen. This all seems to happen when the phone is locked, but if the phone is unlocked, I get the older options.
I don't know how I'm expected to unlock my phone just before someone rings me to enable me to have all the existing options, or wake up before my alarm in order to unlock the phone, so I can snooze or stop it. can I revert back to V31?

Jul 29, 2010I purchased a new 32gb iPhone 4 from my local Apple Store. After everything was all setup, I walked around the store trying to replicate the "death grip" which I was able to do, mostly anyway. A few seconds go by and a screen pops up, very similar to the incoming call screen.
It was plank at the top where the number usually would go, and below that it said "Pwr on/off". At the bottom was the usual Accept / Decline buttons. The Apple genius immediately said "Oh, hold on a sec" and pressed the "Accept" button, and the screen disappeared. When I asked him about it, he was very very coy about it and said "Oh, it was a diagnostic screen, don't worry about it. It's gone and you won't see it again." I kept asking what the screen was and he kept deflecting the question.
Anyways, much of the screen description was coming from memory, so I'm not 100% sure it was exactly, but it was damn close. I wish I had time to take a screenshot. Anyways, has anyone else seen this screen before? What is it?

Jan 13, 2011I have seen a strange issue with N8. At times, I have seen that when I receive a call from the person who is already added in my contact list, the phone is just displaying the number and not the name of the person. When I check the Log, it also displays the number and not the name of the person.
I have imported my contact list from my previous handset (Nokia N70) where it worked absolutely fine. It is quite inconvenient to identify the caller without the name and decide whether to accept or reject during work hours and have at times missed some important calls due to that.

Dec 23, 2011i am unable to make calls. When I try to make phone call it doesn't even try to make the call. I choose a name from the address book to call and nothing happens. After restaring the phone it works fine. An even more annoying problem is that when this has happened my phone doesn't receive calls either. I've heard that people have tried to call me and it has rang normally but my phone doesn't show that someone has called me. Otherwise the phone works fine so I newer know that it is in this "problem state" until I try to make a call.Software version is 025.007.240.02

Nokia :: N82 Cannot Use GPS While Calling Emergency Call
May 31, 2010I had to make an emergency call using my N82. I did not know my exact location so I tried to use GPS while calling. The GPS was not working but there was an error messge like "No GPS signal, you should go outside" or something like that.I was already outside and waited about 10 mins for GPS to get a fix (typically the a-GPS find the location in seconds). It did not get a fix at all and I ended the emergency call. Immediately after that the GPS started to work. So I called to the emergency number (112) once again. But he GPS location was lost when I called and worked again when I ended the call. So it seems that the GPS of the phone is not working while doing an emergency call!
I just wanted to inform everybody that in case of emergency, don't waste your time trying to get a GPS fix while making an emergency call.Anyone knows if this is a known limitation or a bug?
