i have an gmail acount. every time i recive an email i'm not notified.not even in notification. is there some configuration do do? is it possible to be alerted?

View 2 Replies View RelatedI updated my Samsung Galaxy S5 to Lollipop 5.0, and now when my screen is locked, the Verizon Wireless logo is in the upper left corner. I didn't mind it until I realized that I can no longer view any notification icons for texts, email, missed calls, etc. when my phone is locked. It's annoying to have to unlock my phone just to see if I have any notifications.how to move the logo somewhere else on the locked screen?

My calls come in fine when my phone is awake, but as soon as it goes to sleep (whether manually or through auto-lock), it loses the FIDO connection and my calls don't come in. Once I unlock my Phone I can see missed calls and some are going to Voice Mail. People that call me get a a voicemail. This was happening after upgraded to IOS5.1.1

I did SSH my iphone using DISKAID, and in DISKAID there's this random glitch where sometimes when you're renaming a file it will name the whole folder the new name, and it happened to me with the MobileSMS.app folder, but i changed it back and didn't notice any problem. about an hour later i get a text (sound works), and while typing my reply the SMS app froze (if it's any clue it was during the magnifying glass thingy was on). I went in and out of the app using home button (multitasking enabled) but it wouldn't unfreeze so i rebooted the phone and it came back normal. but since then- no incoming SMS sound!
What's even weirder than that is the fact that even if i'm going to SETTINGS SOUNDSNEW TEXT MESSAGE and tap the different ringtones I don't get any sound!
Oh - another clue:
During my browsing through the phone's file system I did find another "ringtones" folder somewhere and deleted them all except for two - but as far as I know the call ringtones and the SMS ringtones are never in the same folder.. still, could I have deleted the SMS ringtone files? that would make pefect sense but.. is it even possible? or could it be something I accidently changed in the MobileSMS.app folder?
My iphone 4 does not receive any incoming call, message from any phone. I have tried just normal turn on and off. I hold home/ top button, but nothing has happened.
View 3 Replies View Relatedfor about 2 weeks i cannot receive incoming phone calls any more. Earlier it worked without problems. Now even in the phone log, no incoming calls are registered. I can make phone calls by myself, i can receive incoming calls by facetime, but no phone calls or sms. The phone is not muted (i tried the button already) . A complete reset of the phone did not change anything.

I deleted and re-install my Hotmail email address my my iPhone. After re-installing the hotmail address using 'pop3.live.com' for Incoming and 'stmp.live.com' for 'Outgoing Mail'. I have no problem sending mail from my iPhone, however I am unable to retrieve 'Incoming Mail'. When I attempt to open my Hotmail Inbox, at the bottom it displays 'Checking for Mail' and then a panel appears displaying:Cannot Get Mail

View 1 Replies View RelatedSo I received a Canadian Rogers LG Xenon a couple days ago, I am not able to get any gmail apps to function on it (gmail, maps etc).After some troubleshooting I think it is because of the fact that the Access point settings in the phone are incorrect (read: not all entered)yet they are locked and not editable.For the rogers Internet Profile which is used for Application Data usage it did not have a user-name and password setup for the account.

When i look on the phone it does appear to have these settings (minus username/password which are blank) so.I tried to simply create a new Profile (new profile name also) to added the user-name and password but as soon as I enter the internet.com address the phone indicates that this access point already has a profile associated to it and you can not duplicate entries.Rogers Technical support also told me their "support" phone in the office was setup the exact same way and they could not edit it, and they do not 'support' gmail apps....I know other people have Rogers branded phones that are able to access gmail apps, could someone please verify if there accounts have the username and passwords set on their devices.The lady also said that the sim card is were this data is stored and that I should try putting my sim into a different phone to see if I could edit these settings there.....this doesn't sound correct to me, as this is my sim from my old phone were I manually entered all of these values.
Yesterday during school, I had my iPhone 5s turned off, but it turned on by itself so that I could get a reminder notification. a friend of mine with an iphone told me that sometimes her iPhone turns on too if she gets allot of texts or something like that.  How to stop it? Even when the phone is locked I am able to access the notification bar and access email. Once done viewing email the phone remains unlocked. This is definitely a security loophole.
