Nov 29, 2010Locked her brand new x10 by tracing the pattern too mant times.She didnt have a gmail acct so we set one up but it still wouldnt unlock it.

Nov 15, 2010I have what seems to be a resonably common problem with my phone being locked out after too may pattern recognition attempts (My son's playfull fingers methinks).
I have consulted the forums including this one and it seems clear that the Log on fix for the google account using null as the password may work for some but hasn't for me.
I have tried to do a repair on the phone, but using pc companion i cannot get this too work, i cannot get into pc companion normally because the software is asking me to put the phone into Usb connect mode which i can't because i am locked out the phone.
method (that works) to get me phone to being useable again? perhaps i am doing the repair method wrong ( holding the back ket then connecting the usb cable does nothing)

Nov 17, 2010I set the trace a pattern security system for the phone. Later when trying to do two things at once I got the pattern wrong five times. I then compounded the problem by getting the succeeding attempts wrong as well until the phone locked me out. Like many others it seems I set-up my gmail account without recording the pertinant details, gmail address and password, these are the requirements to unlock the phone. The official X10 user guide is no help on the subject. I have also been to various websites looking for advice and have found no information at all, apart from don't do it of course! I went to a phone shop and their advice was to use PC Companion to reset the phone but of course I need to mount the phone in order that the software sees it. I am resigned to resetting the phone as the solution as I am backed up but even if I reset I will still need the gmail info to enable all of the Google features. I know it is the result of being a dufus but it seems like a bit of a terminal cul-de-sac at the moment.

I can turn auto-sync or the data off to make it stop, but once turned back out it starts up again. I have deleted most of my newer mail in case there was something bad included with the mail. It is running on 2.1 version .As per the instructions in website I tried to add second account from accounts and setting page, after Keying in login name and password , it says it will take 5 minutes but after 2 minutes returns error "can't esablish reliable data connection to server" . My data connection is fine and other apps are able to connect to internet through wi-fi or EDGE without any issue. Oct 28, 2011My Photon 4 G does not sync calendar, contact, Gmail with my company Gmail account. I believe that it just stopped syncing last week and I believe that it was following a Motorola update, but cannot say for sure. Under Data Delivery, both Background Data and Data enabled are checked green. However, this is interesting because Email and corporate sync is grayed out on that screen. When I go to Account, checking the sync options is not possible, but I can do a manual sync. Please note, at one time, these options to sync Contacts, Gmail and Calendar were available. I've pulled the batter. I really do not want to reset to factory default. Suggestions? (Please note this is a company Gmail account, not just regular Gmail.)

What I have done is just added my new Gmail account through the native BlackBerry email setup and then downloaded Google Sync. I downloaded the Gmail app but I didn't really like the UI and I like to have all 3 of my email accounts go into the same folder.
