i just bought the iphone4 and everytime i try to log into my gmail account on my phone it says my password or account is incorrect but i can log on with the same information on my laptop and it works.. i changed my pw 3 times and it still wont work on my phone but it does on the computer..

I know for a fact that the username and password are both correct because I can still access my gmail account through my computer. I have deleted the account and have tried reading the account but it will not let me.

I have not had this problem in over 5 years! Is this a symptom of iCloud going full, taking over MobileMe? I cancelled my MM account 3 months back and have not had any problems. Why has this problems suddenly started appearing? I was looking at the mail in the ALIAS account from the alias account. Now I am looking at it through my main account, which is also reacting slowly due to this problem.

I've had the social networking widget working fine for some time. About a week ago the sync to my twitter account stopped working stating there was a username password problem. I double checked and I have the correct username and password. I changed the password online but that didn;t I've tried deleting the account from "my accounts" and it keeps telling me that the username / password are incorrect? Any workaround?

Recently , I changed the password for one of my accounts and since then I have been unable to access this account via BB. I went in to Set up, email settings & entered new password & I get error ("Invalid email address or password. If error persists contact gmail") Tried deleting the email account on BB & entering as a new account, error still comes up. Went to gmail to authorize Applications & sites, requested a password, entered it twice. Once with spaces & again without spaces. Still get the error.

View 1 Replies View RelatedMy exchange for gmail was working fine. Email, contacts and calendar. Then I was asked for the password because a pop up said it was incorrect. No matter how many times I enter the correct password, it stills says incorrect. I have tried the following
1. Delete and reinstall all email accounts several times. When I re-create the gmail exchange everything verifies and a minute later, I gt the pop up.
2. Delete iCloud account
3. Change password and try again
4. Add gmail account under gmail and that works fine but I'm still not getting my contacts.
5. Unlock captcha. When I follow the link I get a screen saying my identity needs to be verified and them I click okay and the screen says I have 10 minutes to use password on device. I never get he option to enter the scrambled code on my PC or phone Tried google double verification. None of these have worked despite multiple attempts. I have recently switched to google chrome and am using it under my PC laptop and iMac.

Only one of my 3 gmail accounts on my phone is acting up from time to time, saying incorrect username and/or password. I know this is false because I simply wait and the problem goes away. Only this time, it's been 24 hours now and it still thinks its the wrong username and/or password. In the meantime, I'm able to use that username and password on my laptop with no problems. I've tried deleting the account on my phone and adding it again, but it still thinks incorrect username and/or password.

When I try to open my Gmail on my iPhone 4, I get an error message that says Cannot Get Mail - The user name or password for "My Gmail" is incorrect. But they aren't. My Photon 4 G does not sync calendar, contact, Gmail with my company Gmail account. I believe that it just stopped syncing last week and I believe that it was following a Motorola update, but cannot say for sure. Under Data Delivery, both Background Data and Data enabled are checked green. However, this is interesting because Email and corporate sync is grayed out on that screen. When I go to Account, checking the sync options is not possible, but I can do a manual sync. Please note, at one time, these options to sync Contacts, Gmail and Calendar were available. I've pulled the batter. I really do not want to reset to factory default. Suggestions? (Please note this is a company Gmail account, not just regular Gmail.)

My main objective here is wireless contacts sync. I have read a lot of negative feedback regarding Gmail on a BlackBerry but I will not really even be using this for email all to often, although I will from time to time.
What I have done is just added my new Gmail account through the native BlackBerry email setup and then downloaded Google Sync. I downloaded the Gmail app but I didn't really like the UI and I like to have all 3 of my email accounts go into the same folder.
I am having repeated and seemingly inconsistent (though currently consistently) problems with gmail saying my password is incorrect. It's not. I tried this with push, and then resorted back to imap (with gpush app) and it now won't accept my password with imap at all. Gmail is not working with my iphone at all!What is the problem here? in the past two months gmail and my iphone don't play together well at all anymore!

When I'm on my 4S and goto install pending App updates, it requires a password. That password is different than my iTunes store password. Is that correct? I know the password to install the apps, but can't figure why it's different. It seems wrong. My iTunes userid is a "xxxxx.mac" format and when I goto install the apps, it just says my userid is just "xxxxx".BTW, when I plug my 4s into my imac, iTunes does not recognize it. It is recognized on my Macbook. Not a cable or port problem. This is a whole other issue, but I wonder if they're related.
