View 10 Replies View RelatedI've been enjoying my new Galaxy S6 for the past couple days but one thing I've noticed is that I'm not receiving any Gmail push notifications. I only ever notice new emails getting pulled in when I open the Gmail (or Inbox) app, and it executes a refresh now that the app is open. If I'm not using the app or my phone's screen is off -- nothing.
I've tried a number of different things, including making sure Power Saving mode is turned off and ensuring that auto sync is enabled for my Google account. I've also made sure that all the appropriate Gmail labels are set to notify me.
One thing I've noticed, in the process of discovery for my Gmail issues, is that when looking at my Google sync information on my phone, the "last synced at" time is usually very out of date.. sometimes it's a couple hours ago, sometimes it's a day ago. I'm wondering if my phone is for some reason just not polling on a regular, more reasonable interval.
FYI I'm getting push notifications from other apps (including Hangouts) as expected.
I am new here and i wanted some help with setting up my email on Blackberry. The thing is that my Blackberry is from India, and I moved to Australia.I asked for the ulock code from my indian carrier which they were happy to provide with.I never used push mail service or a BB before.I want to set up a push mail service from my Gmail account to my Blackberry, which i am not able to do. View 4 Replies View RelatedI got tired of all the Gmail messages that were alerting my 8530 Berry and have successfully added my Google Apps gmail account that has my .business extension as a gmail account. Great so far, but can I change my .gmail account to not get notifications? Right now I have my . business gmails forward to my gmail account, but it's now redundant. I don't think I want to take my gmail account totally off because it might effect Google Voice etc.
View 7 Replies View RelatedDoes the native HTC Mail app in Sense UI, push gmail? Or any other IMAP connections that support the IDLE command? Or does only the native gmail app push gmail? I ask, because I have multiple email accounts on my phone, gmail, hotmail, etc.. gmail is on the native gmail app, which is currently pushing... but the others are in the HTC Mail app.
I'd rather have 1 app for everything, instead of bouncing between.. IMAP is IMAP.. which the HTC Mail app supports (for moving to and from folders).. but if it doesn't push using the IDLE command (like gmail app does).. then I'm stuck where I am.
I have Gmail pushed to my phone via Google's push instructions (exchange server).Because I want push notifications, I am in search of the best notification app.I have used Gpush in the past and it seemed to be decent. I then read that Push Gmail was better, so I made the switch and have been using it ever since. My experience with both of these apps has been that both are prone to outages (sometimes days/weeks long) and delays in pushing notifications to my phone. Is there a better app? Is there a way to do it without an app?
View 4 Replies View RelatedI wanted to know how to set up push email, on 3GS I had to do it through the exchange route to get push email with gmail. Is it the same now or can I do it through the gmail option when setting it up?Will it be better?I am asking because there used to be a delay with exchange so will this be better or will it not have push?
View 11 Replies View RelatedOn my old unlocked (T-Mobile) iPhone, Push notifications worked, but after upgrading to an iPhone 3G, I don't receive Push notifications.
Is this a known issue and is there a fix?
So ever since I got my i4 my push notifications do not come in on WWF at all. Before when I updated to iOS4 on my 3G I would get them all the time. But on my i4, I do not. Is anyone else having the same problems?
I'm using the free app and never had this problem til I used this game on my i4.
I noticed that the push notifications weren't working after I downloaded the app 'Draw Something'. Not blaming the app at all, btw. My wife gets notified when it's her turn and I don't. My wife also has a 4S and we have notifications set the same. So I upgraded to 5.1 last night and still no push notifications. I set espn and tvguide to give me a lot of notifications and have not got anything. I downloaded ipusher app and it's not working either. I'll assume the app is working and my phone isn't.

I have gmail setup on my 3GS via Exchange. There is an option to enable push notification on multiple folders + Inbox, but it doss not appear to be working. Each time I go to the Sent or All Mail folders, it only shows the last emails I downloaded the last time I opened the folder. The mail app then takes about 1-3 minutes to d/l the new messages. Is there some trick to enabling push in gmail folders?
View 6 Replies View RelatedHas anyone had issues with the gmail push today using google sync? My phone keeps asking for my password and I put it in but tells me it is invalid. Now if I use my other gmail account (regular one through the iphone mail) I can get my mail perfectly fine. I tried deleting the account and making a new one but it gives me the same error. Any help would be great.
View 5 Replies View RelatedSince updating, my iPhone 3GS with iOS 4.0 has been intermittently unable to move, send, or delete emails using my existing push gmail setup. If I restart the phone, the email might work for a few min, but shortly after that, it will stop allowing me to move, delete, or send messages (I get an error saying it can't move it, etc.)Any ideas? I guess I'll delete the account from the phone and redo it, but is this some sort or known bug?

For some reason today it is telling me my password is incorrect. I can set it up to fetch using the gmail server and it works fine. That's not an option because i NEED my Google calendar on my i phone to push... or at least update itself but that doesn't seem to work set up using gmail fetch.HELP.I know you can use an exchange account but it seems like it only works about 25% of the time. Of course I'm JB so I could have something conflicting.Either way, when the heck is google gonna support push? Never because they want Android to look better or what!Had anyone heard any info about this?
I setup my Gmail using the Gmail when in the "Add Acount.." screen and it does not push emails to my iPhone. Is there a way to setup Gmail so that it will push the email to my device as soon as an email arrived in my Gmail account?

I've reselected the teams in the MLB app, but I've gotta wait until 7 tonight to see if it did the trick.
Also, I'm not even getting push notifications for Facebook or MSNBC anymore either.

View 9 Replies View RelatedI don't know why, but since yesterday morning I'm not getting notifications from apps installed on my iPhone 4 with iOS 5.1.Messages, iMessages, mails, calendar alerts, etc., works fine, but the rest of apps shows a message telling me that I must connect to iTunes to activate notifications.I'm connected to iTunes but I don't know what else must do.All notifications are activated. It's been working since before yesterday without problem. And I've never used any jailbreak software.

I'm gonna try to be clear with my problem. I have a Gmail Account working on Microsoft Exchange, for IM messaging I'm using Beejive IM with Push and I'm also using Whatsapp. Before Updating it to iOS 5.1.1 all Push notifications were working flawless, however, after I upgraded it to 5.1.1, I began having troubles. After 1 minute of having the Iphone locked,I don't get any push notification
nor on the email, nor on the Whatsapp, neither on the Beejive. If I unlock it and I re-open one of them, for ex, I go to check my contact list on Beejive, I get all the mails, and all the instant msgs that people had sent to me after I locked my iPhone; it's like, my iPhone was locked for 30 minutes. In those 30 minutes people sent me 4 msgs on whatsapp, 4 msgs on beejive and 4 mails. Once I unlock my iPhone and I go to one of the 3 apps (mail, whatsapp or beejive), I get the 12 items (4 msg from whatsapp, 4 msgs from beejive and 4 mails) at that exactly time. It's crazy, it's like, with this new update push notifications got disabled for every app or what happened to my iPhone on this upgrade? I really need help. WIthout Push, none of them apps works cool for me. I'm using Iphone 4 on a 3G network.
Ps: I tried restoring it x3, I unistalled the apps, mail, etc and nothing worked.PS2: If someone is using whatsapp or beejive im with push on the new iOS 5.1.1 and push notifications are working good for them,it so I will know it's my iPhone hardware problem to bring it to technical

I had a locked AT&T iphone which I recently unlocked paying for it through Negri Electronics. I see that my notifications are enabled but they are not working at all. For example my Whatsapp is not receiving any messages unless I open it up.
FYI. My iPhone 4 is not jailbroken and has the latest update.

I had a locked AT&T iphone which I recently unlocked paying for it through Negri Electronics (Apple approved), this means that I can update my iphone through iTunes without any problems, which I did and now I'm using another carrier chip. I see that my notifications are enabled but they are not working at all. For example my Whatsapp is not receiving any messages unless I open it up. This happens with alot of other apps that use notifications. FYI. My iPhone 4 is not jailbroken and has the latest update.
