May 8, 2012When I purchased my Curve 3g about a year ago, I setup my email account like normal and it worked fine over this past year. Recently I had to change my email password on the computer, and it caused my blackberry to no longer be able to send or receive my emails. So I went back into setup and went to the email set up so that I could change my password on my phone, but when I click the "Email Accounts" button in set up, it doesn't go anywhere. All of the other setup icons work except the email one.

May 30, 2015My Yahoo! Mail account is associated with Gmail. I also have Yahoo mail separate app. The reason I associated my yahoo mail account with my Gmail app was the yahoo mail app's head was stuck in its arse (its performance sucked) . But there are two notifications for the same email and more importantly the yahoo mail app has started to do better- meaning I am not uninstalling it.
So my intention is now I want to remove the yahoo account from the Gmail. The problem is whenever I go to the Gmail app on my phone and remove the yahoo account By clicking remove account, it is gone. But, when I hit the yahoo mail app it starts from scratch like asking for username password and then showing "initialising mailbox". And finally the yahoo mail is again associated with Gmail !
BB Torch :: 9800 Change Email Settings As Changed Email Account
Nov 10, 2011I am trying to change my email settings as i changed my email account. When i go to "Setup", "Email Accounts", then click on "Internet Mail Account", it simply circulates back to "Email Accounts". It keeps doing this repeatedly. I have done a soft and hard reset (by removing battery) and have updated software but nothing seems to help.

May 3, 2010I bought my E72 3 days ago and the first impression i got was disappointing.The first action you do when switching on E72 for the first time is to set up your email accounts. Remember, E72 is Nokia's top email phone!I chose hotmail. I enter my email account and then my password as requested.And the next screen i get is nothing but the previous one!!!The same happens with Yahoo accounts.I found a way to work around the crash and set up my account through the "other" tab available on the wizard.I am really disappointed that i have changed my beloved E71, to get an even more proffessional solution that in the end needs a total update to set up our emails.There must be a solution in the next software upgrade and must be installed for free in all Nokia's stores.

Let me try to clarify.I can send an email from Gmail (PC) to my phone, but I do NOT put a 1 in front of the number, just the area code and number, so it goes through fine. I reply to it, then go back to the PC and when I go to reply back to the phone, I see that it has a 1 in front of the email address and it doesn't go through to the phone.Is there some kind of setting that I could change so that it doesn't add that 1? Wht would it be adding the 1 in the first place? Maybe when the phone replies it has the 1 and Gmail is just copying that and adding it to the email address? PLEASE help as I use this phone for business and I NEED to have my emails coming through properly.
