My Gmail account was telling me I had an incorrectu username and/or password. I treid to delete the account, and reinstall and now I'm still getting the same message. I tried on wifi and 3G, I confirmed I was able to log onto my email from a computer, and I tried to reboot my phone.

I have not had this problem in over 5 years! Is this a symptom of iCloud going full, taking over MobileMe? I cancelled my MM account 3 months back and have not had any problems. Why has this problems suddenly started appearing? I was looking at the mail in the ALIAS account from the alias account. Now I am looking at it through my main account, which is also reacting slowly due to this problem.

I know this is false because I simply wait and the problem goes away. Only this time, it's been 24 hours now and it still thinks its the wrong username and/or password. In the meantime, I'm able to use that username and password on my laptop with no problems. I've tried deleting the account on my phone and adding it again, but it still thinks incorrect username and/or password.

I've had the social networking widget working fine for some time. About a week ago the sync to my twitter account stopped working stating there was a username password problem. I double checked and I have the correct username and password. My exchange for gmail was working fine. Email, contacts and calendar. Then I was asked for the password because a pop up said it was incorrect. No matter how many times I enter the correct password, it stills says incorrect. I have tried the following
1. Delete and reinstall all email accounts several times. When I re-create the gmail exchange everything verifies and a minute later, I gt the pop up.
2. Delete iCloud account
3. Change password and try again
4. Add gmail account under gmail and that works fine but I'm still not getting my contacts.
5. Unlock captcha. When I follow the link I get a screen saying my identity needs to be verified and them I click okay and the screen says I have 10 minutes to use password on device. I never get he option to enter the scrambled code on my PC or phone Tried google double verification. None of these have worked despite multiple attempts. I have recently switched to google chrome and am using it under my PC laptop and iMac.

I tried this with push, and then resorted back to imap (with gpush app) and it now won't accept my password with imap at all.
