When I try to open my Gmail on my iPhone 4, I get an error message that says Cannot Get Mail - The user name or password for "My Gmail" is incorrect. But they aren't. I have deleted the account and added it back again numerous times. This is what the support person I talked to told me to do. Sometimes I can get into my email and then all of a sudden I can't.

No matter what I do in setting up my primary account on my iphone it keeps telling me my username and/or password is incorrect. I'm 100% sure it's correct. The account was working perfectly and nothing changed. I still use the email on my desk top so I know it is valid. It may even fetch the mail occasionally.

I've had the social networking widget working fine for some time. About a week ago the sync to my twitter account stopped working stating there was a username password problem. I have e-mail set up on my phone. I want to add another but this time it asks me for my username and password to access the setup. I've tried every combination i can think of with no joy. Spoke to my provider (O2) and they say this is a Blackberry UN & PW. tried my blackberry id and every other combination but still can't get in. Where did this username and password come from? I have a replacement Blackberry while mine is in getting repaired. When I tried to activate the email account, it says that the password is incorrect. I have changed the password using my computer and my phone (options, device, blackberry id). I can log into my account on the Blackberry website using the updated password but when I try to activate the email account with the password it says incorrect. I have checked the box to show the password so I know that the password has been entered correctly. I've tried about 5 times.
So I have moved into a new apartment, and when my iPhone finds the router and tries to log on, it asks for a username AND a password. When I use my Macbook, it just asks for a password, which I enter and get no further problems with. Â

What can she do to get her login details back so she can fix her phone? I was thinking we go to the Apple Store and give them some details about the account such as the address used, security questions and date of birth used on the account but i'm not sure if that works. Is it possible?
