New Z5 compact has imported contacts from my gmail account, these are not up to date, if I do the contact transfer from my iphone will these overwrite the gmail contacts or do I need to delete the gmail contacts first?

The problem is that it is adding on to my internal memory, why is this happening when I have sync my contacts with gmail. I do not have any contact on my phone. If I can find a solution for this, it will save 7.5mb of my space, where in I can accommodate something useful.

Time ago I´ve used to have only 1 mail account set on my blackberry, a gmail account (xxxxx@gmail.com), and used the google sync (url...) to synchronize contacts between the smartphone and the webmail account. It has been working like a charm for a long time. At that time, I could create and edit contacts and the changes got synchronized in both sites.A month ago I decided to create through Google Apps an email address with my own internet domain (xxxxx@xxxxxxxx.com), and decided to add this email address to the smartphone to check both accounts. The first surprise came when I noted that adding this email address (following the procedure to add any email address) has caused the BB to activate it, like BES mode, against the gmail server.Suddenly I discovered that I cant create nor edit contacts in BB, but I can in the webmail interface of the google apps email address. The contact created using the web interface is syncronized to the BB.The issue is that I cant create nor edit contacts in the smartphone!
View 1 Replies View RelatedI just picked up a new V10, added my gmail account, and it created a contact for just about every email I've ever interacted with in the 10 years using gmail. I'm obviously missing something - I just want the 200+ contacts I have defined on contacts.google.com to sync on the phone after linking it to a gmail account. What am I missing? I don't remember this with previous Android phones.
I tried doing a factor reset, setting up as a new device, linked the gmail account, but it still decided to create 2000+ contacts.
what print app do you use? can all my contacts from outlook- be copy to gmail account? how do you delete downloads?
View 1 Replies View RelatedStrange issue with my BlackBerry contacts. Nearly all of my phone numbers disappeared and I panicked immediately. I came to realize that this happened when I added a new Gmail account to my Blackberry. Not sure if the new Gmail Sync had anything to do with it, but I found that all of my BlackBerry contacts are NOW in Contacts when I log into Gmail on the web. And the contacts that I do have in my phone happen to be all email addresses (mostly no numbers, but some) that were previously all saved in my web Gmail. It's like they just switched places.
View 4 Replies View RelatedSo I added a new gmail email address to my phone but by accident, when prompted told it to synch my contacts with that account. The first thing it did was import all the contacts to my gmail address book, on gmail.com, effectively erasing most of them from the phone. I took it into the t-mobile store and the guy somehow managed to recover about 1/3 of the contacts. So when I took it home, I deleted that email address and just plugged it into my computer and re-synched the contacts from my address book. However, whenever I look in my address book on the blackberry now, at the top of a contact it says "Sychronize using: emailaddress@gmail.com" (Obviously insert the email address I used). But that email address is no longer on my phone, so how is it synched with that? It also I think it is creating problems with synching up my facebook contacts as their pictures no longer show as icons on my phone. It's a minor problem, and seems to be a software issue, but is there any way to completely un-sych my contacts from this deleted email address?

For the past two or three day my X10a (2.1) had continually been trying to sync to my Gmail account. I can turn auto-sync or the data off to make it stop, but once turned back out it starts up again. I have deleted most of my newer mail in case there was something bad included with the mail. Not sure what my next step would be. With the phone trying to sync all the time make it slow to respond to commands.

Ive recently updated my phone to android 2.1 and now i cant get onto market because it needs me to register a google account. I tried to register one and but i keep getting an error message saying that the server are busy and that i should try again later.... Ive tried who knows how many times and still no luck... I was trying to add my second gmail account to my xperia mini pro. It is running on 2.1 version .As per the instructions in website I tried to add second account from accounts and setting page, after Keying in login name and password , it says it will take 5 minutes but after 2 minutes returns error "can't esablish reliable data connection to server" . My data connection is fine and other apps are able to connect to internet through wi-fi or EDGE without any issue. I tried to write to get in touch with customer care through mail, but unfortunatley no response from them other than auto reply.
