I have recently got a Nokia 6301 and put all my contact is. However when someone rings me neither their name or number comes up on the screen - just "call". What I have I done wrong? I have put the contact name in and phone number under "general".

if i get a call and i use the keylock on the side of the phone I get a black screen and no functions i have to remove the battery to restart the phone v21.0.045 soft instaled I have noticed that this hapens during calls occasionaly too.

I UPDATED MY NOKIA 5800 to v40.--.--. SINCE THEN I HAVE ENCOUNTERED WEIRD PROBS AS BELOW.BEFORE UPDATNG THE PHONE WAS WORKING PERFECT.
1) WHEN SOMEONE CALLS, THE SCREEN SHOWS TWO ON-SCREEN BUTTONS, 'UNLOCK' AND 'ANSWER' BUTTON.THESE BUTTONS ARE NOT FUNCTIONAL ON TOUCH.I ATTENDED CALL WITH 'RECIEVE CALL' BUTTON MANUALLY.
2) ALSO,WHEN THE ALARM RINGS IT SHOWS SAME KINDA SCREEN AS ABOVE BUT WITH TWO ON-SCREEN BUTTONS OF 'STOP' N 'SNOOZE'.THESE ON-SCREEN BUTTONS ARE NON FUNCTIONAL.I HAVE TO STOP ALARM BY 'END CALL' BUTTON MANUALLY.
3) SOMETIMES THE SCREEN GOES WEIRD KINDA BLUR.TO GET IT BACK I HAVE TO LOCK AND UNLOCK SCREEN
4) THE MUSIC PLAYER WORKS FINE BUT IT HALTS SOMETIMES.AND I HAVE TO RESTART MY PHONE SO THAT I MUSIC APPLICATION WORKS PROPERLY
YESTERDAY I REFORMATTED THE PHONE REMOVING MEMORY CARD AND I NOTICED THAT I GOT THE ALRAM SCREEN ALL RIGHT AS IT WAS NORMALLY.BUT THEN AFTER A FEW HOURS I PLACED IN THE MEMORY CARD AND THEN TODAY THE ALARM SCREEN WAS THE SAME AS IN PROBLEM 1.
I updated my software to 40.0.005 few days ago. However , now there are a lot of problems.
1. the answer tab on screen does not function while there is an incoming call.
2. the alarm cant be switched off using touch screen .
I have recently changed from iPhone to nexus 5.On my iPhone when someone new phoned me it was easy to add that number to my contacts and edit the info about it.However, I just cannot figure out how to do that with my Nexus 5. In the end, all I could do was write down the new number, then go to People and add it, and the name of the caller, manually.

View 7 Replies View RelatedBasically none of my contacts are showing up on my contact list, they seemed to have all been deleted! Also I am not using any filters. As well as this, all my text messages have no contact names assigned to them, just their number. However in my call log, my contacts names come up... And when I click on view contact through the call log, the contact's details all come up!!! For example, one of my contacts, John, is saved on my call log and when I click on view contact through the call log, his address and number comes up, so it is saved. However when he calls, his name doesnt come up...So I'm assuming my contacts are saved on my phone somewhere, but they dont seem to come up on my contact list or text messages!! View 1 Replies View RelatedI have an unlocked US variant S6 SM-G920T with Baseband (G920TUEU3COK1). I have been using it on Tmobile without issues since Cyber Monday.
But now, randomly, when I get a phone call from a contact that is already in the phone, I see the number on the display rather than the contact name. After I either answer or reject or allow to go to voicemail, and then go look at the call log, the contact name is displayed. This is getting annoying as I keep ignoring calls that I would like to take ( and sometimes need to take).
Only thing I've tried is to clear data and clear cache in the contacts app. Phone is not rooted...

View 1 Replies View RelatedI purchased a new 32gb iPhone 4 from my local Apple Store. After everything was all setup, I walked around the store trying to replicate the "death grip" which I was able to do, mostly anyway. A few seconds go by and a screen pops up, very similar to the incoming call screen.
It was plank at the top where the number usually would go, and below that it said "Pwr on/off". At the bottom was the usual Accept / Decline buttons. The Apple genius immediately said "Oh, hold on a sec" and pressed the "Accept" button, and the screen disappeared. When I asked him about it, he was very very coy about it and said "Oh, it was a diagnostic screen, don't worry about it. It's gone and you won't see it again." I kept asking what the screen was and he kept deflecting the question.
Anyways, much of the screen description was coming from memory, so I'm not 100% sure it was exactly, but it was damn close. I wish I had time to take a screenshot. Anyways, has anyone else seen this screen before? What is it?
I just upgraded to a BB Bold 9650 and have synced with Outlook. I input all of my phone numbers in Outlook in the following format: (XXX) XXX-XXXX, but when I receive an incoming phone call on the home screen the numbers appear as XXXXXXXXXX (name is correct). When I look on the call log, they appear correctly and when I check my address book in the device, they appear correctly.I only sync one way - from Outlook to the Device. How do I get them to appear in the correct 10 digit phone number format with parentheses and hyphen?I had another Bold before this and had no issues with this at all. I am wondering if I need to use the Backup and Restore feature in the DTM to delete the address book completely and start again.

View 8 Replies View RelatedWhen I wake my phone the screen is VERY dim...I have to wake it (dim screen), but it back on standby and wake it again (screen usable and ok). Once the screen in bright I can put it back on standby and turn it on again without any problems but once it has been on standby for a while I have to wake it up twice to see the screen.This is the same when the system lights the screen - alarm, incoming call etc....it's too dim to read the screen until the screen has been turned off (cutting the caller off) and back on again.

I have updated my phone firmware recently. The screen slide unlock feature is cool.... but most of the times, the screen goes blank when I receive a call making it difficult to figure out the caller before I receive the call.
