View 5 Replies View RelatedI'm a brand new owner of a 9650 and I'm stumped on trying to change a setting. Currently my phone rings only once before it goes to voice mail. I have looked all over the device to find how to increase the number and can't find it anywhere. I have checked sound profiles and see no option to do so. The manual for the 9650 says it's an issue with my provider. My carrier, Verizon, has been no help. This was not an issue with my old phone and I assumed it would be the same during the transisition to the new one. No go.

When I call my phone I hear 4 rings on the phone I am calling from. However the blackberry itself only rings twice and just vibrates in between. I do want the vibrate option but would like to hear four rings instead of two.
View 2 Replies View RelatedMy calls come in fine when my phone is awake, but as soon as it goes to sleep (whether manually or through auto-lock), it loses the FIDO connection and my calls don't come in. Once I unlock my Phone I can see missed calls and some are going to Voice Mail. People that call me get a a voicemail. This was happening after upgraded to IOS5.1.1

My BB 9700 doesn't catch the first 4-5 rings of an incoming call. It's so bad that incoming Google Voice calls go straight to Google voicemail. If I call myself, I hear 4-5 rings on the calling side before the BB begins to ring. I've changed the ringer settings from vibrate but this seems to do little.
Before this phone I had a Sony Ericcson k850 that had the same problem. Before that I had the SE k550i that did NOT have any problem. If I take that old phone and put my sim card in it now, it still has no ring lag.
So I believe it has something to do with the phone settings within the phone, though this BB is the first phone I bought that came from AT&T (branded probably). Can I change some setting for the phone to ping the towers more often? I don't see anything for slot cycle on the phone...

View 1 Replies View RelatedI can make calls ok and send and receive text. I have my voice mail set up but when I receive calls if I miss the call it does not go to voice mail and the caller get a message saying the number is not recognized. This is a phone problem or a network problem only had this since I have had my X10.
View 1 Replies View RelatedBeen a happy Sprint user since 2005 and have used various dumb phones and smartphones. The Photon is my 3rd Android.I have noticed that each phone , whether smartphone or not, has the same issue that has caused me to miss incoming phone calls here and there - the caller dials my number and hears several rings before my phone actually starts ringing. The phone goes to voicemail before I have the opportunity to answer the phone. The solution for my phones has always been to adjust the Slot Cycle index from the default setting of 2 to the setting of 0. This causes the phone to poll towers more frequently, thus the phone is more quickly aware of a new incoming call. The only negative implication is that the phone goes through battery a bit more quickly during the day...but it's really only a tiny difference. I've done this on my phones, on my spouse's phones, my mom's phone, etc.
Since the Photon's battery life is so much better than my prior phone (EVO 4G) I am very comfortable in adjusting the Slot Cycle index, so I obtained my MSL from Sprint and attempted the adjustment by going to the Dialer:##DATA# ->tap green Dial icon -> to the Data Settings menu...tap Advanced->From there you can see that the Slotted Index is set to 2. So I wanted to change the setting but can't get to it from Menu->Edit->enter MSL code->VerifyI called Sprint about this issue, and in the past they have helped me to change the setting. I have called more than once and have been dealing with the more advanced Tech Support team. No one at Sprint can figure out how to adjust this setting on the Photon.
is there an application or a way to block a certain incoming (number) call?
View 5 Replies View Relatedwhenever I receive an incoming call, it only shows 'unknown number' even the caller is actually in my contacts and in my call log also shows unknown number. I have no clue who is calling and I've done setting the country code and content protection for 'include contacts' to no.
