I wonder if there is a way to increase the number of characters in a text message. I'm sick of the words "field full" when I just want to finish a bloody sentence!
I'm a brand new owner of a 9650 and I'm stumped on trying to change a setting. Currently my phone rings only once before it goes to voice mail. I have looked all over the device to find how to increase the number and can't find it anywhere. I have checked sound profiles and see no option to do so. The manual for the 9650 says it's an issue with my provider. My carrier, Verizon, has been no help. This was not an issue with my old phone and I assumed it would be the same during the transisition to the new one. No go.
My phone rings more than 10+ times before rolling to voicemail. How do I set the number of rings I want? I am missing calls as callers will not wait through through so many rings to get to vm if I am unable to pick up the call.
I used to get a SMS message everytime I got a voicemail but somehow it got turned off. Now all I get is the little voicemail icon at the top of my screen but no sound or vibration or anything. I've been looking for an answer to my issue on the forums but it seems like I'm the only person that likes the SMS alert, everybody else wants to turn it off.
How do i set up the number of rings on my phone, before it goes to voicemail ? Can't find this in instruction book, or voicemail prompts on phone. My carrier is AT&T. Thanks for any help.
I am new to this whole Blackberry thing, so please... take it easy on me.Anyway, whenever I add a new contact from a phone call or whatever it, by default, goes under as their "Work" number. Even when I transferred numbers from my Envy to my Blackberry a lot of the contacts went under "Work" rather than "Mobil".How can I change it so that by default it comes up under mobile (since that's the majority of numbers I add to my contacts)? Also, is there a way to easily switch the classification of a number? Lately I've been just going into the contact and retyping it, but doing that for all of my contacts will be a pain.
Just wondering if there is a way to block certain phone numbers from calling you?I haven't found any such option in any menu on the BB.am I not looking in the right place, or can you do that by calling your carrier?
I am trying to replace the screen for my 8520 but am a bit confused because the version number reads as 004/111/112 and I cant find anyone selling this version number anywhere. A lot of people are selling 004/005 so I was wondering if that version is compatible or not. If anyone has had the same problem or knows of a solution I would greatly appreciate any help.
I recently went from a 8330 to a 8530 and everything was working great all weekend. However, last night I noticed when I receive an SMS message only the number shows with no names attached. This happened right after I connected to my Blackberry Desktop Manager.
I just recently upgraded to OS 5 and i have been going through a bit of a pain as everything that i was used to with OS 4 is has changed ! (some for the better but some worse !)anyways to the point. I realized that my picture count has been resetted to IMG00001-xxxxx. Is there anyway i could reset it so that it would continue my original count ?Its a pain finding the pictures as it would be in-between my older pictures with the low counts.
I have Verizon. Is there any way to program my contact list to show my number on some outgoing calls but not others? I know where to change the setting to show the number or not, I'm just wondering if I have to change it each time I make a call to a specific contact.
How do I extend the number of rings before voicemail kicks in - my 8520 only rings 3 times - not enough to find it and answer it. Missing loads of potentially important calls.
Got the Torch today only to find that the duration of the touch tone transmitted after call connection is incredible short. You hear the tone for the duration that you press the button (soft or hard keyboard) but the transmitted duration is only a few tenths of a second. AT&T says that RIM sez that the transmitted duration should be as long as you hold the button and to return the phone for another one but I am skeptical. With the short duration I am unable to control a remote access system. how to increase the transmitter tone duration?
