if i get a call and i use the keylock on the side of the phone I get a black screen and no functions i have to remove the battery to restart the phone v21.0.045 soft instaled I have noticed that this hapens during calls occasionaly too.

Before can see the caller's name and answer the call, I have to disable the screen's "keylock".I tried to find a point in the phone settings wher I can avoid this, but didn't find any.

View 6 Replies View RelatedWhen I first got my N8-00 I had no problems at all, until 6 months later I dropped it from a height of 2ft. Then I got all the problems, automatically turning off and restarting 100 times a day etc, etc. I took it to my phone supplier who replaced it with a new one, that had the new Anna software installed. Since then whenever I get or make calls the screen goes totally blank.
It is really annoying as I cannot see who is calling or if the call has gone through. I have to manually unlock the phone to attend the call. Also having problems answering the calls as sometimes I have to press the answer button 3-4 times. Finally now 3 months after having this phone it has started turning off and restarting automatically, but only about once a week, so far. I have all the latest Anna updates but these problems still persist.
I bought this app today because I thought it would help with my problem. When I reach into my pocket to answer a call I almost always end up ignoring the call by hitting the end button. Even though I set the lock function to stay locked when you get an incoming call it does not do this. I would like the app to force me to unlock the phone to answer. Any help, was this the wrong app for my problem?
View 6 Replies View RelatedSometime ago noticed that 920 screen goes black when I answer the call or press Call button.And while the screen is black it doesn't response either.Its almost impossible to cancel call when this happens.Only means to cancel the call I've come up with so far is to push lock button twice and try to push End call button when it appears for appr. 0,2 seconds and then disappears again.

YESTERDAY I REFORMATTED THE PHONE REMOVING MEMORY CARD AND I NOTICED THAT I GOT THE ALRAM SCREEN ALL RIGHT AS IT WAS NORMALLY.BUT THEN AFTER A FEW HOURS I PLACED IN THE MEMORY CARD AND THEN TODAY THE ALARM SCREEN WAS THE SAME AS IN PROBLEM 1.
I updated my software to 40.0.005 few days ago. However , now there are a lot of problems.
1. the answer tab on screen does not function while there is an incoming call.
2. the alarm cant be switched off using touch screen .
I have recently got a Nokia 6301 and put all my contact is. However when someone rings me neither their name or number comes up on the screen - just "call". What I have I done wrong? I have put the contact name in and phone number under "general".

It then responds to anything, not even on the Power button until the other ends the call. Then, the screen lights up again and it goes back all normal.
View 9 Replies View RelatedI purchased a new 32gb iPhone 4 from my local Apple Store. After everything was all setup, I walked around the store trying to replicate the "death grip" which I was able to do, mostly anyway. A few seconds go by and a screen pops up, very similar to the incoming call screen.
It was plank at the top where the number usually would go, and below that it said "Pwr on/off". At the bottom was the usual Accept / Decline buttons. The Apple genius immediately said "Oh, hold on a sec" and pressed the "Accept" button, and the screen disappeared. When I asked him about it, he was very very coy about it and said "Oh, it was a diagnostic screen, don't worry about it. It's gone and you won't see it again." I kept asking what the screen was and he kept deflecting the question.
Anyways, much of the screen description was coming from memory, so I'm not 100% sure it was exactly, but it was damn close. I wish I had time to take a screenshot. Anyways, has anyone else seen this screen before? What is it?
When I wake my phone the screen is VERY dim...I have to wake it (dim screen), but it back on standby and wake it again (screen usable and ok). Once the screen in bright I can put it back on standby and turn it on again without any problems but once it has been on standby for a while I have to wake it up twice to see the screen.This is the same when the system lights the screen - alarm, incoming call etc....it's too dim to read the screen until the screen has been turned off (cutting the caller off) and back on again.

The screen wouldn't wake up despite me tapping on it, or pressing all the available buttons. Holding the power button does trigger a vibration, but I don't see a thing on the screen. However, it does wake up when I plug in the earpiece.
I have updated my phone firmware recently. The screen slide unlock feature is cool.... but most of the times, the screen goes blank when I receive a call making it difficult to figure out the caller before I receive the call.

View 1 Replies View RelatedI am helping out a friend who has a Nokia 6280. She claimed that it's infected by a virus because her problems started after using a Bluetooth headset. I don't quite believe this as I've heard it's more likely to be struck by lightning than to have this phone infected with a virus. Anyhow, the problem is the following: When you power on the phone, you get the Nokia handshake, then the phone loads. However, as soon as the phone loads, a bunch of black lines appear to streak across the screen rendering it black. That's not a huge issue because it goes away after a few seconds. Now I've read this could be an issue related to the ribbon that connects to the screen, but the screen turning black does not occur in any other instance other than right after when the main screen appears. I can play with the slider all day and nothing will happen, but like clockwork the problem appears after the phone loads.What gives? The phone works fine otherwise, so what could the problem be? If you need any more information I will be happy to provide. I've uploaded a video of this issue here (using my 5800 XpressMusic at night - the quality isn't that great sorry, but it does show the problem). Pardon the audio - my kids were watching Spongebob Squarepants so you might want to turn the audio all the way down! I guess my question is two-fold:
1) can this in fact be the result of a virus?
2) if this isn't due to a virus, what is it due to?
I opened a Blackberry 9900 contract about 5 days ago and I am having problems already! When I make a call the screen goes to black and doesn't turn back on until I end the call. I've tried deleting installed apps taking battery out. Its fully updated.
