Whenever i receive a call or make one, the screen goes blank and i can't see the call time, who it is and the screen becomes none responsive and won't light up to let me finish call. Then when other person hangs up, i can't see anything on the screen for a good ten mins. is it settings?

View 6 Replies View Relatedl recently changed my sim forva giffgaff one and everything works fine except when i call people i cant hear them and i cant hear the ringing sound at the start of the call. i can hear them if iput my phone onto speaker phone but this isnt very practical.

View 2 Replies View RelatedI just bought my Nokia 5530.There are a couple of problems I have been having though- sometimes when I am making a call and want to end it before the person answers, the screen becomes unresponsive. Also sometimes when I am in the middle of the call and want to access the dialler (for typing in an extensions for example), the screen does not automatically come back up from its 'dark mode' and the only way i am able to end the call is turning it off completely.Is there something I should do to prevent this, or is my phone just defective? Help is needed because I think my local warranty is going to be up soon!

This is the secondtime i have this problem. Somehow the call log goes blank. so i canot see any missed calls and other cal log information. it just is blank - without any sort of notificaiton.
First time it happen i had to factory reset the phone by updating the software - which meant i lost everything from my contacts to my apps - and it took me much time to get it back to my settings - however it worked ok then - for 2 months and now the blank call log is back.
When some one calling me and I don't want to answer, who I can exit the calling window without reject the call ??

For a month or so now, it is difficult to start the main screen with the double tap so could be an issue with touch screen, although once turned on with power button, using touch screen is fine. It's just that initial double tap to turn screen on that is tough sometimes.
When I get screen on, can use speaker or not, and i can use dialpad to dial, say for instance to get to voicemail. However, once dialed, the screen goes blank and I'm not able to turn it on by double tapping, by using power button, etc. The only way to get back to using my phone is when the other side has hung up. Then I can start using power button again.
I don't hold phone near proximity sensor, I don't think it's dirty, I don't use a case. I will put the phone down on the table flat and it will stay on. I then move my hand over it starting at bottom and when it gets a little ways from the top, it goes blank. When I remove my hand, with nothing in the way, it stays that way and I can't do anything.
I'd like not to try the next step which is factory reset and backup, as I have not done that before and really don't want to reinstall everything.
i dont believe i have seen this mentioned so if it has i will close my own threadanyway about 20% of the time maybe less i will get a call and it is ringing but the screen is off. i have to hit the wake button and then it shows the call as

I open th recent call list and click one of the recent calls but instead of dialing that contact my phone dials a different contact which is different altogather. Initially i thought that I have selected wrong contact but recently I noticed that the contact it actually called was way down in the list that it was not even visible.

View 1 Replies View RelatedOk, this is my problem, I have protective leather casing (I hope thats how you say it on english) and on Kitkat, I could slide/answer with finger without opening casing, it has a hole in it, so now on 5.1.1. we got "Reject with message" and answering slider is moved up.
Since we cannot disable "Reject with message", is there an application, to show me kitkat style answering screen to place slider exactly where it was on kitkat android, so i can use my casing without problems?

After dialing a number the screen goes off immediately. I have press the unlock button several times to get it on. Even when i haven't put it up to ear. The light sensor is working.

i think i didn't miss anything but still its not responsive. It does sometimes response but if i do restart battery pull, open back case its unresponsive again. According to my knowledge its not a hardware issue as if its hardware and need new one i already tried that its software issue and it seems that entire screen is selected when i try to neviggate through the gaming keys. I am still unable to belive that sony ericsson has still not provided any fix for the issue. If anyone has any idea or any third party software for screen please advise.
