Dec 23, 2010I just bought a brand the N8 a couple of days ago, and went to change the caller photo on one of my friends, so that I'd see his ugly face when he was calling me. I'm not sure how I messed this up but that now everyone in my phonebook has his face stuck to the background of the call-screen whenever I call someone or receive a call.
I tried to just rename the photo but then when I tried to make a call my phone would deny it. I simply could not make a call from it. How wasted is that?
So I rename the photo, reboot my phone, and I'm still calling everyone with his ugly face stuck to my ear.

Oct 26, 2012When I try to resize a photo using the editing function in the Gallery, I'm unable to save the resized photo.I'll do the resize, tap on the "check mark" and then press on the "memory card" icon to save and nothing happens.If anyone can tell me how to save a resized photo as a copy for emailing while preserving the original large photo, that would be great.

Oct 23, 2011Ive deleted data and restored.uninstalled social and re-installed.I then send 2 pics straight from taking a photo and it loads to facebook and then NOTHING.
Everytime i have tried doing something different to get it to work it only ever works once or twice before failing forever.My partner has never had a problem.

When launching camera I can record video without any problem but when switching to photo mode nothing appear, it enter the interface to take the photo but no image appear on the screen. I try to update the firmware with nokia ovi software updater, doing hard reset, format and factory default, but still same problem.

Vignetting is a pretty powerful tool that can help isolate subjects and seems to be a bit of an oversight on Nokia's part to leave it out, considering how good the cams are and the editors have often a good amount of adjustments that save me from running to Lightroom or Silver Efex Pro all the time.

Oct 25, 2011I synced my N8 with windows media player after the anna update but couldn't see any pictures in the photo app. Pictures are already on the device inside "pictures" (not "images") folder in E: drive. After playing a bit, i figured out that photos app only read the pictures inside "images" folder of E: drive. Is there any possible way to make photo app read files in the "pictures" folder or make Windows Media Player sync with the "images" folder instead of "pictures" folder.

Sep 24, 2010I have had an X6 for about a month now, and the slider keyguard on the phone had broken off. The phone is now in a permanent state of saying 'use keyguard to unlock keys and screen'. Obviously I cant because it doesn't work!!
I have tried leaving it switched off for 15 mins, and restating it. This lets me restart the time and date but then locks once the phone opens up. I have tried a drawing pin and paper clip to slide the keyguard without the keyguard but to no avail.

May 29, 2010I'm experiencing some weird problems on my 5800 xm. When I unlock the phone after it has been locked for a while the touch screen doesn't react at all. But if I lock and unlock again, it starts to work. Not a very big problem but kinda annoying. The other problem is that none of the physical buttons are working, except for the on/off button.
All those problems came at once and from no where. I hadn't installed or updated anything recently when it came. I've tried to update to v.50 and I've tried a "soft reset" but it isn't working. I can't do a hard reset since the buttons used for doing aren't working.
It feels like it's some kind of software problem rather than a hardware problem or what do you think? Anything I can try before going back to the store?

When i turned on the phone, the phone screen didnt give any signs of working, but the rest of the phone was fine, the lights turned on and stuff. I could work with the phone without looking on the screen. But in the next day i went to nokia care point and they looked to the phone, and they told me that was the ribbon flex . I bought a ribbon flex to my nokia and replaced it yesterday, but the phone is in the same situation, the screen does not work and the rest of the phone is fine. I ask if someone can help me with this.

Oct 26, 2011I have a 16GB Nokia n96, and it was working completely fine till a couple weeks back the screen went blank, so i assumed it had switched itself off. I took the battery out and tried switching it back on, but the screen didn't come on. The phone vibrated once like normal on start-up, then the keypad lit up and the buttons on the slide-up bit, but nothing can be seen on the screen. I can also hear the beeps when i press different buttons, and also I could remember off by heart where my music player was on it, so i pressed the right buttons and my music actually started playing!
