Feb 3, 2016The 'Reply On The Fly' feature for Messaging is a useful tool, but I was able to use it while my phone (Unlocked Dual Sim, US) was locked. Is this a bug or an intentional feature? I can understand being able to change the volume/vibrate settings or turn on the camera, while the phone is locked, but being able to use "Reply On the Fly" doesn't seem secure. With the camera, you can't access photo albums or share photos without unlocking the phone first. Heaven forbid, if someone picks up your phone and decides to be your proxy and maliciously responds.

I noticed this problem yesterday. I searched and googled but no luck. Someone mentioned that he/she had the same problem but managed to find the solution.

I tried that one but it only applies to 3rd party routers, i have airport extreme 4th generation as my base station, and airport express 1st generation as wired extender.
All my other devices are fine, wife's iPhone 3G, both iPad 23G and wifi. Only my iPhone 4s All firmwares are up to date on all appale devices that i have.

Menu > settings >connectivity >
1. Wi-Fi > Options > settings > show wi-fi availability > never
2. settings > switch to wi-fi > manual
And while I'm at it, how do I remove known networks? Maybe that will stop it if I remove the "known" network...

Feb 10, 2012I have a brand new BB 9360 with unlimited email, bbm and phone plan (no data plan but I didn't have one on my old phone either and I didn't have this issue). When I'm connected to Wifi, my bbm and email works perfectly. As soon as I leave that wifi connection, it shows I am connected to the Bell network but bbm and email do not work until I turn my phone off then on or make a phone call. It is like it has to reset before really picking up the bell network. I called Bell Canada and they basically told me I have to manually disconnect and reconnect every time I leave a wifi connection. Sep 24, 2010I have had an X6 for about a month now, and the slider keyguard on the phone had broken off. The phone is now in a permanent state of saying 'use keyguard to unlock keys and screen'. Obviously I cant because it doesn't work!!
I have tried leaving it switched off for 15 mins, and restating it. This lets me restart the time and date but then locks once the phone opens up. I have tried a drawing pin and paper clip to slide the keyguard without the keyguard but to no avail.

May 29, 2010I'm experiencing some weird problems on my 5800 xm. When I unlock the phone after it has been locked for a while the touch screen doesn't react at all. But if I lock and unlock again, it starts to work. Not a very big problem but kinda annoying. The other problem is that none of the physical buttons are working, except for the on/off button.
All those problems came at once and from no where. I hadn't installed or updated anything recently when it came. I've tried to update to v.50 and I've tried a "soft reset" but it isn't working. I can't do a hard reset since the buttons used for doing aren't working.
It feels like it's some kind of software problem rather than a hardware problem or what do you think? Anything I can try before going back to the store?
