Dec 29, 2014At night or evening I am finding the screen to be way to bright when set on either auto or manual. I have to use a app called screen filter to dim the screen more.

Jul 19, 2012My screen keeps scrolling down automatically when a bright light hits the screen. Make it hard to use outside. Trying to make a phone call, read text, email, or even just scrolling through apps is very difficult because the screen scrolls down to the very bottom very quickly. When I scoll back up, it scrolls right back to the bottom. When I'm not outside or a bright glare is not on the screen it works great.

Jun 19, 2015So I have an S5 and while using an app I noticed an extremely bright rectangular spot across the top part of the screen.I got the phone replaced and while using the replacement S5 found another rectangular bright spot and this time it was not quite as noticeable but it was bigger than the previous spot. I would explain the spot as an unnatural brighter hue compared to the rest of the screen.

Oct 14, 2014My phone has been acting up lately with the screen blinking between bright and normal and now it's stuck on bright with washed out colors. Its like a gradient from left to right, if you open the keyboard it's very apparent its like a gradient from white to gray. Looks like the left hand side of the screen is going overdrive and going as bright as it can almost?

Jun 22, 2012My IPhone started to crash in a weird way. When it crashes randomly, I see that the whole screen is black with few bright lines and then its turns off immediately, sometime I been able to start it but usually it starts again and crashes the same way again after few seconds or minutes. when its connected to electricity its usually working fine.
I tried the following:
1. Replaced to iOS3 , iOS4, iOS5
2. Replaced the battery twice
3. Replaced the power connector
4. Replaced the power adapter then changed the battery again.
When I replaced the battery it worked for a month before same thing happened again. I have to note that if I am not touching the phone at all, it will stay on till the battery will end. Nothing works! Its Apple I bought it for their reputation and I'm disappointed!

May 1, 2015I get a random beep and/or random screen ons in the middle of the night. What would cause it, because there is no consistency. The beep sound isn't any of my notification sounds either. It hasn't happened every night (or at least I haven't woken up to it).
Could my charger be affecting it? (My old phone never did it on this charger, but who knows. I'm also waiting for my QI charger to show up and replace my normal charger)....
I do charge my phone at night. Is there a setting that beeps when the battery is charged? Is there something that would tell the screen to turn on for any reason? I'm pretty sure it isn't any apps, since I've only had the phone for a week and haven't loaded very many.

May 28, 2015Usually a couple of times during the night I wake up to find my phone screen on. It's bugging me because this does not happen during the day. Otherwise I think I could turn off what is causing it to light up at night.

BB Bold :: 9900 Backlighting Not As Bright As It Should Be?
Oct 29, 2012I got my BB Bold 9900 last month so I'm still trying to get used to all the features. A little while ago I noticed something and I've yet to figure out the source of the problem. It's a little difficult to explain but I'll give it my best shot:I've always had the backlighting on 100 - the brightest setting, and it looked great. After having played around with it, suddenly, it's nowhere near the brightness that it used to be despite being on the highest setting.Does this make any sense? It used to be really bright and easy to read, but now even on the highest setting it's quite dark. Hopefully there's a solution to this and it's not just me. I've searched through all the settings and can't figure out why it's not as bright as it used to be.

I have Alliance ROM installed on a rooted S5 and am wondering if there is a dark UI theme in the settings somewhere. The 17 themes it comes with doesn't actually make the phone dialer dark. I'm seeing screenshots online of Alliance that are nice and dark (I think it's called Black Glass?), including the phone dialer. How do I get the whole android theme dark.
Same thing with other apps. There's a few local TV news apps that have a bright white background that I wish I could customize to a dark theme. The Samsung Music Player is bright white as well.

took it out side in the daylight to shoot some pics and the screen went almost totally White!! everything very overexposed... Camera settings are set to default. Did a reset and a complete back to factory defaults reset, but same issue...?

May 18, 2014I discover a really annoying bug when using flash and manual focus. So to reproduce it with no doubt, use a white subject, like a written paper, or something white to capture at a very close distance, let's say 20 cm (or 7 inches). Then:
- Open Nokia Camera.
- First thing, select manual focus.
- Be sure Flash is on.
- Now take the picture.
What you now (should) have is an unusual burned picture. If you take the same picture, with totally the same settings, and using autofocus, instead, the light is normal and the paper correct.
I discover a "workaround" with pressing the autofucus button, let it try to focus something, first, and then using Manual Focus (it seems like a first procedure in autofocusing resets some parameters).
After this and taken the picture, flash and light seem correct, but comparing the autofocus picture taken first, with the Manual Focus one taken later, the manual one results again a bit brighter (in my example the color changed and the more brightness is barely noticeable, but I assure you, depending on colors and distance, it gets just more).
I already tried on 3 1020s.

Nokia Nseries :: Dark Images In Bright Sunlight?
Jul 16, 2012Has anyone else run across this issue? If I have the Nokia 808 in Creative mode and manually adjust the ISO, sometimes I get dark images. This is in bright daylight with my subject completely visible and well-lit in the view finder. It doesn't really matter what the ISO setting is, the pictures will come out dark. If I choose Automatic and then back to Creative, it will "fix" it.
That's not entirely true. I don't know what fixes it. But it will return to normal. I tried to make it happen before writing this note, but could not repeat it indoors. It's possible the bright sunlight was part of the problem...as if the 808 overcompensated for all the light.that gave me an idea...looking at the EXIF properties of the dark images, Lightsource is "Unknown".On the properly exposed images, it says "Daylight". Perhaps this is a clue?

Mar 16, 2010Any whooo got myself a new phone last week (figured it was time as I had my last one almost 7 years!!) and I've been trying to set up up etc ever since. I'm now at the confused.com point I want to use my phone on the WLAN at home and I've added the service to the phone using the wizard etc however every time it connects its seems to use the futures bright internet and thus I incur download charges, ok they are only a few pence at a time but I don't know why it does this. I've set the phone to ask on connection and I pick the WLAN every time.Can anyone help me please - fyi this phone has been unlocked and unbranded and is currently using PAYG, don't know if that makes any difference or not but thought I would share
