Is there a way to make apps and other screens with a bright white background have a dark theme instead? It's much easier to read white text lettering on a dark background. For example, the phone dialer is bright white, but I want it dark like the older android versions.
I have Alliance ROM installed on a rooted S5 and am wondering if there is a dark UI theme in the settings somewhere. The 17 themes it comes with doesn't actually make the phone dialer dark. I'm seeing screenshots online of Alliance that are nice and dark (I think it's called Black Glass?), including the phone dialer. How do I get the whole android theme dark.
Same thing with other apps. There's a few local TV news apps that have a bright white background that I wish I could customize to a dark theme. The Samsung Music Player is bright white as well.
I am on my 4th Triumph since the 19th of July. I don't know if it's just been bad luck or a bad batch, but I've had issues with all of them. My best Buy pretty much said they do not want to take the phone back again because of how many times I've returned it for various legitamate issues. Now, in addition to this device having the usual issues I've had with it, I now have a bright white pixel that only shows on white/light colored backgrounds.
After updating to new version my phone looks my new galaxy s5 looks like my old iPhone, that I was happy to put away for good. I want black background in menues and keyboard back in black!!!!!
I got my new S6, however, I immediately noticed that the LED flash is not as bright as my old Nexus 4 or event my wife's Note 4. Moreover, it has a yellowish color, not pure white as the rest of the phones.
So I have an S5 and while using an app I noticed an extremely bright rectangular spot across the top part of the screen.I got the phone replaced and while using the replacement S5 found another rectangular bright spot and this time it was not quite as noticeable but it was bigger than the previous spot. I would explain the spot as an unnatural brighter hue compared to the rest of the screen.
I got the galaxy s6 edge about 2 weeks ago, and noticed that when I tried to take pictures with my front camera the pictures look very weird. Like everything is too bright and my face looks like i have a ton of make up on or i have been airbrushed or something. It is just very weird. I have tried turning the beauty setting to zero and turning HDR off. Still has not fixed the problem.
The back camera does not have this issue, it takes nice pictures. Also, my s4 front camera did not do this, it was a very good front camera. So i feel like the s6 front camera is a downgrade, what happened?
W shooting video in bright sunlight the LCD screen on Samsung S5 smart phone blocks out the screen from the clare. How do I correct that to have a clear LCD to look at.
I have a Sprint HTC One. I have an issue with my screen. One pixel at the bottom of the screen is pink in certain backgrounds. While this is not a deal breaker, it is very annoying and I want to fix it. It reappeared after about 2 weeks of it going away. The first time it came, I was on CyanogenMod 11. Now I am on 4.4.2 100% stock Sense. I have performed a factory reset. The pixel is pink even when in recovery and fastboot (no Android OS).
I attempted a screen flush with one of those flashing screen programs on Google Play store, and ran it for separate 10 hour and 8 hour intervals, with no luck. I bought this device used and the bootloader has been unlocked, so warranty claim is probably going to cost more than it is worth.
I want to delete the background photos/album. The only place I can see this album is through the lock screen setting. It will not let me delete the album or pictures.
Is there a known issue with getting the artist and album artwork to show up in xbox music on the 1520.3, or is it just my phone? I thought it was because I put the songs on via usb rather than buying through xbox music, but I transferred them to my wife's icon and they worked as they should.
My 1020 is about 2 weeks old and at night I'm noticing about 3 areas on the screen that are significantly darker on black backgrounds. It makes the black areas look splotchy and is really only noticeable at night. These aren't dead pixels but what looks to be dark areas on the screen.
Today I've realised while going out of my car at night, that my LED flashlight is really bright after the android upgrade. Is it possible that it became lighter or is it just my imagination?
At night or evening I am finding the screen to be way to bright when set on either auto or manual. I have to use a app called screen filter to dim the screen more.
Certain app notifications show up on the top of the screen as a pop-up of sorts in a white box. Like for Snapchat or Facebook, notifications show up on the top of the screen, but they stay way too long. And there is no way to get rid of that white box with the notification. Is there any way to change that?
I got my BB Bold 9900 last month so I'm still trying to get used to all the features. A little while ago I noticed something and I've yet to figure out the source of the problem. It's a little difficult to explain but I'll give it my best shot:I've always had the backlighting on 100 - the brightest setting, and it looked great. After having played around with it, suddenly, it's nowhere near the brightness that it used to be despite being on the highest setting.Does this make any sense? It used to be really bright and easy to read, but now even on the highest setting it's quite dark. Hopefully there's a solution to this and it's not just me. I've searched through all the settings and can't figure out why it's not as bright as it used to be.
Question about photos taken with bright objects. Whenever I take a photo which has bright lights it ruins the whole photo. I tap in different areas to try refocus but makes no difference. Even at times part of the picture goes really dark.
When I'm browsing websites, watching movies, or really anytime the phone is on there are 2 very bright white dots along the right edge of display and the dots are indeed under the glass.
I've had my Z5 for 3 days now and I cant fault it although on the first night I noticed the screen had bright patches in the middle which was odd. The phone has never been dropped and is cosmetically immaculate.
I just got my S6 (SM-920FD) however the status bar on lockscreen seems to be white instead of the wallpaper being shown.
It looks like the wallpaper is not extended upto status bar. I also noticed this issue on some apps (which works perfectly on my other devices), its only S6 having this issue.
took it out side in the daylight to shoot some pics and the screen went almost totally White!! everything very overexposed... Camera settings are set to default. Did a reset and a complete back to factory defaults reset, but same issue...?
I have the brightness of my Atrix automatically adapted however I feel that I could live with generally two or three levels lower and therefore save battery life? Especially when it is dark I feel like it is MUCH to bright! Is there any possibility to tell the automatic brightness control "Do it always two levels lower"?

This just happen a few hour ago my phone was working find and all. suddenly my phone wont responese only blinking white LED no display, cant turn off. I try holding the power button for 30 second and power+vol up and power+ vol down still blinking white led.
So I had my phone in my pocket all night, with a screen code lock so nothing could be pressed, and when I woke up and took it out everything was in black and white (apps, texts, entire interface). I know this is what happens when you turn on Ultra Power Save mode, but it wasn't enabled when I checked. I enabled and disabled that mode, cleared my cache partition, checked under Direct Access to make sure Grayscale wasn't on, rebooted, and I've restarted a couple of times. Nothing.
