Is there a way to set local time to daylight savings time so my GMT time is correct?
View 1 Replies View RelatedIs there a way to set local time to daylight savings time so my GMT time is correct on my iphone 3gs?
View 1 Replies View RelatedI've seen numerous posts about daylight savings affecting the time on the iphone, but haven't seen any responses to this particular question yet. Since daylight savings went into effect last weekend, my reminders are going off an hour early, even though the time on my iphone shows the current, proper time. My phone says it is 8:00 AM (CST). However, an alarm that I set for 8am went off at 7am this morning.

Today we started spring forward in the US. When I turned on my phone, it looked so different. My X2-01's home screen was changed, the internet was gone, my phone numbers on the phone were all gone. All the default themes and tones are gone. I checked my calendar, all my appointments were gone. Even the games that originally came with the phone, they were all gone. I tried to access the Internet via Menu, no luck.I was on the phone with T-mobile helpdesk almost an hour today, no luck. They e-mailed me the Internet settings etc and I did all step by step, no luck. It looks like the phone has crashed after daylight settings. I can still make phone calls and receive text messages, but it's pretty much what only I can do. Last night all I did was turn it off before I went to bed and turn it on in the morning.
View 2 Replies View RelatedDaylight savings time stared today and the alarm on my Z3v was correctly set to 0730. The alarm didn't go off though until 0830. I did set the alarm with google now, but around 8 o'clock i also checked the Alarm and Clock app and verified the correct alarm time was set and turned on. Then the alarm went off at 0830. It was a one time alarm and no other alarms were set.

My s5 sometimes shows the right time and sometimes doesn't following Daylight Savings (sometimes it's an hour off). I keep having to restart the device, which fixes things in the short term. But, my alarms go off and then go off again an hour later. This is getting really tiresome! It's set to auto date/time/time zone, so I don't understand why it keeps showing the wrong time.

View 1 Replies View RelatedMy IPhone started to crash in a weird way. When it crashes randomly, I see that the whole screen is black with few bright lines and then its turns off immediately, sometime I been able to start it but usually it starts again and crashes the same way again after few seconds or minutes. when its connected to electricity its usually working fine.
I tried the following:
1. Replaced to iOS3 , iOS4, iOS5
2. Replaced the battery twice
3. Replaced the power connector
4. Replaced the power adapter then changed the battery again.
When I replaced the battery it worked for a month before same thing happened again. I have to note that if I am not touching the phone at all, it will stay on till the battery will end. Nothing works! Its Apple I bought it for their reputation and I'm disappointed!

Iwhere we do not observe Daylight Savings Time. When I set Settings -> Date & Time to "Automatic", all appointments after Daylight Savings Time starts, get set 1 hour too late. When I uncheck Automatic and manually set my time zone to Hawaii, the appointments get reset to the correct hour.
View 4 Replies View RelatedI recently travelled to Melbourne from Perth with my fancy new N97, after successfully syncing my Outlook calendar etc from my laptop to the N97 using Ovi Suite (which I agree is not as good as the old PC Suite). Time zone change has caused me a few problems, as the automatic update of the time when I arrived in Melbourne didn't take daylight saving into account, so the alarm went off an hour late etc, and so I had to manually adjust the clock. Funny that now the world clock on my phone is out by an hour now that I have arrived back in Perth. So predictably, the calendar entries now that I'm back in Perth are an hour out.
Any easy ways of updating the world clock settings so that Perth (GMT+8hrs) actually reflects what the time is so that the calendar will sync? At the moment the N97's world clock states that Perth time is 0553hrs, but the time is actually 0653hrs. If I ask the phone to change to Perth as the current location, it asks whether to change phone time to match local time in selected location, which means that the clock continues to show the correct time, despite the world clock being incorrect. I think this is the problem anyway. Thoughts?
Using a Lumia 800 in the UK and (believe it or not) only just realised that it hasn't auto-corrected for daylight-saving time. Can't see an option for it either - am I just missing a really obvious setting somewhere? Time/date has many place options but no DST - is that correct?

View 8 Replies View RelatedWe had our Fall time change Saturday, and my HTC One M8 failed to adjust for daylight savings. Well, parts of it failed.
The small time display next to the battery meter is correct.
The large time display in the Sense 6 widget is one hour ahead. When the screen is locked, the time is displayed correctly, but when the phone is unlocked, the time is displayed one hour ahead. They're probably two separate widgets? Tap the Sense 6 widget, and the local time on the world clock page is also one hour ahead.
Any way to get the Sense 6 widget to display the correct time?
Today I've realised while going out of my car at night, that my LED flashlight is really bright after the android upgrade. Is it possible that it became lighter or is it just my imagination?

A little while ago I noticed something and I've yet to figure out the source of the problem. It's a little difficult to explain but I'll give it my best shot:I've always had the backlighting on 100 - the brightest setting, and it looked great. After having played around with it, suddenly, it's nowhere near the brightness that it used to be despite being on the highest setting.Does this make any sense? It used to be really bright and easy to read, but now even on the highest setting it's quite dark. Hopefully there's a solution to this and it's not just me. I've searched through all the settings and can't figure out why it's not as bright as it used to be.

View 7 Replies View RelatedSo I have an S5 and while using an app I noticed an extremely bright rectangular spot across the top part of the screen.I got the phone replaced and while using the replacement S5 found another rectangular bright spot and this time it was not quite as noticeable but it was bigger than the previous spot. I would explain the spot as an unnatural brighter hue compared to the rest of the screen.
View 1 Replies View RelatedIs there a way to make apps and other screens with a bright white background have a dark theme instead? It's much easier to read white text lettering on a dark background. For example, the phone dialer is bright white, but I want it dark like the older android versions.
I have Alliance ROM installed on a rooted S5 and am wondering if there is a dark UI theme in the settings somewhere. The 17 themes it comes with doesn't actually make the phone dialer dark. I'm seeing screenshots online of Alliance that are nice and dark (I think it's called Black Glass?), including the phone dialer. How do I get the whole android theme dark.
Same thing with other apps. There's a few local TV news apps that have a bright white background that I wish I could customize to a dark theme. The Samsung Music Player is bright white as well.
Just Got my lumia 920! What a phone!!
took it out side in the daylight to shoot some pics and the screen went almost totally White!! everything very overexposed... Camera settings are set to default. Did a reset and a complete back to factory defaults reset, but same issue...?
