Iam thinking of using auto brightness because of the dynamic lighting I experience during the day.
View 5 Replies View RelatedI'm running stock 5.1.1, and even though my auto brightness is off my phone occasionally dims my display when it's on full brightness. It's not running particularly hot (37 degrees C according to my battery widget) so I don't know what's causing it to dim.

View 4 Replies View RelatedI havent found any settings to adjust the brighness of the display in my new Nokia 2710. But the manual says that i should reduce the brightness if i wanted to save battery power. Did i miss something? I think its just not implemented! Thats very disappointing, since the dispaly is too bright to use it as a navigation device at night in the car.
View 4 Replies View RelatedSince day 1 on my Lumia 950 - unlocked, the screen brightness settings are not sticking. When I wake the phone from sleep (but not always) the screen is very bright. I have to manually switch through the screen brightness on the quick nav panel - 25% - 50% - 75% - 100% - 25% in order to get it to stick at 25%. Sometimes the auto brightness needs to be flipped off then on again for it to work. It is very inconsistent and I can't really figure out how to reproduce this.
In Battery Use, my Display uses 69.2% of the battery, even with my obsessive reset of the screen brightness. It was over 75% before I realized the gorgeous screen is partly gorgeous because it's almost retina scarring bright.
Wondering if anyone else if experiencing this. I've replaced it in the mm dock several times and it is so dim I can barely see it. I have tried setting the display brightness to max and setting it to auto with no effect.I've set the night mode brightness on the mm dock setting to as bright as it can get with no change. BTW it is 1:30 in the afternoon. Interesting that at night when it should be dim it is as bright as it can be. Checked the clock and the DX2 knows the correct time.
View 3 Replies View Relatedmy s5 had a weird filter when the brightness isn't at full. There are some lines, the colors are all washed out and inaccurate especially the blacks which appear red-brown. I have tried everything, yes, even a factory reset, and no luck. I took some pictures to describe the situation of my phone. And if you think it's just a bad camera quality, trust me, it isn't.

I tried to higher my brightness to the max. but I can still barely see my screen. So I rebooted my iphone by pressing the power and the home button. The phone rebooted but the brightness was still sooo low that I can barely see.

I can't see my i4 phone in bright daylight. Auto brightness is on.

On my 32G iphone 4, the auto brightness option gives a very dim screen in a dark room. Tried to search a little, seems many users reported the same behavior. I wonder if this is the same to every iphone 4 out there. This is very annoying, making the phone almost unusable in dark environment.
View 8 Replies View RelatedMy Xperia Active is barely 3 weeks old, running Android version: 2.3.4 and latest build: 4.0.2.A.0.62. My screen brightness is kept at maximum, I have never dropped this phone or abused it and rest of it's functions are running fine. Barely a week in, it seemed to have a faintly flickering screen which I thought might have just been my eyes going. This week, the flickering has been replaced by what I would describe as "breathing" - screen brightness goes from max brightness (100%) to gradual dimness (about 78% brightness) to max brightness again - without me touching anything nor am I running out of power. This happens once in a while throught the day, not constantly. Rather alarming as I am getting very attached to this little phone.
I have been checking the SE forums since the 1st week of ownership, the flickering screen problem has been reported occuring to other SE phone models, including the Mini on which the Active has been based. I have wiped all data from my phone and gave it back to the seller for their tech to figure out. My last option if unrepairable, is to ask the seller to replace the unit. what causes the screen brightness to dim then brighten by itself (despite the latest build and software).

And so I found this option via search within settings, which may very well be exactly what I was looking for but couldn't seem find it in the settings menu in developer option(which has already been enabled).....
View 3 Replies View RelatedI've seen numerous posts about daylight savings affecting the time on the iphone, but haven't seen any responses to this particular question yet. Since daylight savings went into effect last weekend, my reminders are going off an hour early, even though the time on my iphone shows the current, proper time. My phone says it is 8:00 AM (CST). However, an alarm that I set for 8am went off at 7am this morning.
