I'm running stock 5.1.1, and even though my auto brightness is off my phone occasionally dims my display when it's on full brightness. It's not running particularly hot (37 degrees C according to my battery widget) so I don't know what's causing it to dim.
Is it possible to adjust the brightness of my display screen?if yes, can you please guys give me the steps please. also, there are no 1 and 2 keys for one touch dialing.
I havent found any settings to adjust the brighness of the display in my new Nokia 2710. But the manual says that i should reduce the brightness if i wanted to save battery power. Did i miss something? I think its just not implemented! Thats very disappointing, since the dispaly is too bright to use it as a navigation device at night in the car.
How to reduce the brightness of X2 display..It eats up battery.....Is there a way to prevent the display from lighting up when I change tracks or stations using the music keys...
why the brightness of display different from two defy cell phones..me nd my friend both purchased defy last week..nd in both defy thre lots of difference in brightness..my defy brightness dull as compere to my friend defy cell(both in same condition or same brightness setting).
What brightness levels are you guys using with the retina display? Since we get a larger battery is anyone taking advantage and cranking up the brightness?
This screen is beautiful but I did notice it's VERY dim at the 50% stock level outta the box.
Since day 1 on my Lumia 950 - unlocked, the screen brightness settings are not sticking. When I wake the phone from sleep (but not always) the screen is very bright. I have to manually switch through the screen brightness on the quick nav panel - 25% - 50% - 75% - 100% - 25% in order to get it to stick at 25%. Sometimes the auto brightness needs to be flipped off then on again for it to work. It is very inconsistent and I can't really figure out how to reproduce this.
In Battery Use, my Display uses 69.2% of the battery, even with my obsessive reset of the screen brightness. It was over 75% before I realized the gorgeous screen is partly gorgeous because it's almost retina scarring bright.
Wondering if anyone else if experiencing this. I've replaced it in the mm dock several times and it is so dim I can barely see it. I have tried setting the display brightness to max and setting it to auto with no effect.I've set the night mode brightness on the mm dock setting to as bright as it can get with no change. BTW it is 1:30 in the afternoon. Interesting that at night when it should be dim it is as bright as it can be. Checked the clock and the DX2 knows the correct time.
my s5 had a weird filter when the brightness isn't at full. There are some lines, the colors are all washed out and inaccurate especially the blacks which appear red-brown. I have tried everything, yes, even a factory reset, and no luck. I took some pictures to describe the situation of my phone. And if you think it's just a bad camera quality, trust me, it isn't.
I've bought nokia 7230 slide with 3G. I have activated GPRS connection. The integrated browser is working. But other applications are not able to connect to net. Not even the opera browser. I've tried everyhting. I tried to switch on the cookies and disable security notifications. But they r not working.Currently I'm having BSNL connection.Even i can connect the phone to computer and use it as modem to connect the net. It is also working there. In the opera mini case it says check ur internet settings. I downloaded a new version of opera even it doesn't work it says "the product is not from an authorised supplier. Allow the connection."
I recently bought the Nokia 7230 unlocked in Germany because it really appealed to me in terms of features and the right price. When I returned home to the US and dropped in my AT&T SIM card, everything works okay except for any packet data or internet connection. Whenever I try to access any sort of data connection, it shows "Subscribe to Packet data". I have an unlimited Data plan with AT&T which allows internet access. Now, I wasn't expecting a perfectly smooth transition bringing a Europe-market phone to the US where the 7230 isn't even sold. After a 3-way phone call with AT&T and Nokia USA, they felt that because I could not edit or add Access point settings and AT&T doesn't sell the 7230, there was no way to make the packet data connection work.Does that conclusion sound right? It's not a huge setback to lose internet but I was looking forward to the upgrade in internet capabilities from my previous 6350.
I've just purchased a 7230 on the Vodafone network here in Ireland. The Right Selection key is set to go to Vodafone Live - which I don't want but I can't seem to change the option. I have done the usual menu>settings>my shortcuts but only the left selection key, navigation key and home screen key come up as options to change. Is this a model issue or a network provider software issue?
Several days ago I bought this mobile phone. I made photo and attached it to some contact. I expected to see this photo when the person will call me or vice versa. This photo is displayed during call BUT it is in very small size, in micro size . There is no sense to to attach photos to contacts if it is not possible to understand who is on the photo.Probably I am wrong. May be I need to setup something.Did sombody have same expirience? Could you please help me with this issue?
Why will my 7230 only accept names in the contacts with 10 characters or less? I have seen screen shots of the 7230 in phone review websites that show contacts with more than 10 characters. Also will not allow me to use small fonts in Contacts.
my wife has nokia 7230 and can receive photos via text,i have same phone but cannot receive photos by text can anyone help please. It just gives me a web address to view on my pc.
As far as I can tell there is no way to adjust the screen brightness on this model (or any of the C series?).
It's a little bit annoying because in the instruction pdf it recommends that you change the brightness in order to save battery. The phone can't change brightness however. I'm using a c101.
I have had a Nokia 7230 for about 3 months or so. In the last few weeks 2 hairline cracks have appeared in the top right hand corner of the top half of the phone. In the corner where the light illuminates to inform you of a call or sms. There are also another 3 cracks forming in other parts of the same casing. The phone is well looked after and has not been dropped or knocked. I have spoken to O2 who I bought the phone off but they have advised that their technicians will view it as physical damage and just return it. I was also told that this is not common at all. It appears that the thin silver coloured band on the top part of the phone has a weakness.
I want to install the "fring" application on my Nokia 7230. Unfortunately, this handset is not listed in thier site at http://www.fring.com/download/default_PC.asp
I've tried to download from the link obtained by signing up in their site. The name of this set isn't there either. I've downloaded all the files, one by one, listed there corresponding to various nokia model and when I tried to install, I got the error message "File format not supported".Is there any compatible handsets available so that I can download the softwares listed for it?
The same is the case when I tried to download the "SBI freedom" software for mobile banking. (http://mobile.prepaidsbi.com/sbidownloader/downloadapp.jsp#none). I've even tried their GENERIC VERSION with no luck.
I have a Nokia 7230 and have been trying to downlad fe explorer. First attempts unsuccessful as I was downloading a sis file, which I have since learnt isn't supported on this s40 os. So, found a jar version, which I've read should be supported on this model, only I'm still getting the same message "file not supported". This is my first ever attempt to download anything to a phone
