Today I've realised while going out of my car at night, that my LED flashlight is really bright after the android upgrade. Is it possible that it became lighter or is it just my imagination?

This time it is the flash, the light comes on randomly.and cannot be.turned off without a restart. Once happens can not use camera or flashlight both say it is already in use or error and to close before trying but there is no app open. As far as I know only have the two that use it, it is a pain as runs battery down fast, gets hot and if is in jacket not going to know for long time.

I got my BB Bold 9900 last month so I'm still trying to get used to all the features. A little while ago I noticed something and I've yet to figure out the source of the problem. It's a little difficult to explain but I'll give it my best shot:I've always had the backlighting on 100 - the brightest setting, and it looked great. After having played around with it, suddenly, it's nowhere near the brightness that it used to be despite being on the highest setting.Does this make any sense? It used to be really bright and easy to read, but now even on the highest setting it's quite dark. Hopefully there's a solution to this and it's not just me. I've searched through all the settings and can't figure out why it's not as bright as it used to be.

View 7 Replies View RelatedSo I have an S5 and while using an app I noticed an extremely bright rectangular spot across the top part of the screen.I got the phone replaced and while using the replacement S5 found another rectangular bright spot and this time it was not quite as noticeable but it was bigger than the previous spot. I have Alliance ROM installed on a rooted S5 and am wondering if there is a dark UI theme in the settings somewhere. The 17 themes it comes with doesn't actually make the phone dialer dark. I'm seeing screenshots online of Alliance that are nice and dark (I think it's called Black Glass?), including the phone dialer. How do I get the whole android theme dark.
Same thing with other apps. There's a few local TV news apps that have a bright white background that I wish I could customize to a dark theme. The Samsung Music Player is bright white as well.
Just Got my lumia 920! What a phone!!
took it out side in the daylight to shoot some pics and the screen went almost totally White!! everything very overexposed... Camera settings are set to default. Did a reset and a complete back to factory defaults reset, but same issue...?

View 3 Replies View RelatedMy phone has been acting up lately with the screen blinking between bright and normal and now it's stuck on bright with washed out colors. Its like a gradient from left to right, if you open the keyboard it's very apparent its like a gradient from white to gray. Looks like the left hand side of the screen is going overdrive and going as bright as it can almost?

I discover a really annoying bug when using flash and manual focus. So to reproduce it with no doubt, use a white subject, like a written paper, or something white to capture at a very close distance, let's say 20 cm (or 7 inches). Then:
- Open Nokia Camera.
- First thing, select manual focus.
- Be sure Flash is on.
- Now take the picture.
What you now (should) have is an unusual burned picture. If you take the same picture, with totally the same settings, and using autofocus, instead, the light is normal and the paper correct.
I discover a "workaround" with pressing the autofucus button, let it try to focus something, first, and then using Manual Focus (it seems like a first procedure in autofocusing resets some parameters).
After this and taken the picture, flash and light seem correct, but comparing the autofocus picture taken first, with the Manual Focus one taken later, the manual one results again a bit brighter (in my example the color changed and the more brightness is barely noticeable, but I assure you, depending on colors and distance, it gets just more).

Has anyone else run across this issue? If I have the Nokia 808 in Creative mode and manually adjust the ISO, sometimes I get dark images. This is in bright daylight with my subject completely visible and well-lit in the view finder. It doesn't really matter what the ISO setting is, the pictures will come out dark. If I choose Automatic and then back to Creative, it will "fix" it.
That's not entirely true. I don't know what fixes it. But it will return to normal. I tried to make it happen before writing this note, but could not repeat it indoors. It's possible the bright sunlight was part of the problem...as if the 808 overcompensated for all the light.that gave me an idea...looking at the EXIF properties of the dark images, Lightsource is "Unknown".On the properly exposed images, it says "Daylight". Perhaps this is a clue?
My N8 screen is going black whenever I am making calls in the bright sunlight. So I cannot view the dialler at all and unable to end the calls. This problem really annoys me a lot.

Any whooo got myself a new phone last week (figured it was time as I had my last one almost 7 years!!) and I've been trying to set up up etc ever since. I'm now at the confused.com point I want to use my phone on the WLAN at home and I've added the service to the phone using the wizard etc however every time it connects its seems to use the futures bright internet and thus I incur download charges, ok they are only a few pence at a time but I don't know why it does this. I've set the phone to ask on connection and I pick the WLAN every time.Can anyone help me please - fyi this phone has been unlocked and unbranded and is currently using PAYG, don't know if that makes any difference or not but thought I would share
View 5 Replies View Relatedmy 1020 is experiencing many problems, first of all I must mention that the screen was changed after being broken, and then the problems started, display colours went yellowish and too bright, screen locking alone too many times when battery gets below 65%.
I have to mention that I changed the screen another times, but the problems started again after 3 days, and that sometimes the phone gets fixed sudenlly, but not for too long, the longest period was 2 days, and two more times it worked properly again for few minutes (once I unlock the lock screen, the phone gets corrupted again)
it is possible to add my password to the voicemail icon on the main screen?

When it crashes randomly, I see that the whole screen is black with few bright lines and then its turns off immediately, sometime I been able to start it but usually it starts again and crashes the same way again after few seconds or minutes. when its connected to electricity its usually working fine.
I tried the following:
1. Replaced to iOS3 , iOS4, iOS5
2. Replaced the battery twice
3. Replaced the power connector
4. Replaced the power adapter then changed the battery again.
When I replaced the battery it worked for a month before same thing happened again. I have to note that if I am not touching the phone at all, it will stay on till the battery will end. Nothing works! Its Apple I bought it for their reputation and I'm disappointed!

On my first Photon and my wife's Photon the email icon is a bright red icon looking like an envelope.
When I updated my Photon I now have a gray borig @ sign icon. Where is the other icon? That seems to come if you set up email with another provider (I was initially using comcast). I tried creating comcast account again but it did not change the icon.
Is there a way to get that notifiacation icon back? Obviusly it can be done without being root.
