HTC One M8 :: Screen Blur Noticeable Against Darker Backgrounds
Jul 6, 2014On the M8, I see a bit of blur with going through my home screen or app drawer? It seems to be really noticeable against darker backgrounds.

Lumia 1020 :: Dark Marks On Black Backgrounds (noticeable At Night)
Nov 5, 2013My 1020 is about 2 weeks old and at night I'm noticing about 3 areas on the screen that are significantly darker on black backgrounds. It makes the black areas look splotchy and is really only noticeable at night. These aren't dead pixels but what looks to be dark areas on the screen.

Feb 21, 2014I have a Sprint HTC One. I have an issue with my screen. One pixel at the bottom of the screen is pink in certain backgrounds. While this is not a deal breaker, it is very annoying and I want to fix it. It reappeared after about 2 weeks of it going away. The first time it came, I was on CyanogenMod 11. Now I am on 4.4.2 100% stock Sense. I have performed a factory reset. The pixel is pink even when in recovery and fastboot (no Android OS).
I attempted a screen flush with one of those flashing screen programs on Google Play store, and ran it for separate 10 hour and 8 hour intervals, with no luck. I bought this device used and the bootloader has been unlocked, so warranty claim is probably going to cost more than it is worth.
Lumia 950 XL :: All Of Sudden Screen Became Quite Darker
Jan 25, 2016A week now since purchasing the 950 xl. Has been a learning curve trying to get all contacts and other stuff lined up. Switched from android. love the phone but the thought to return has crossed a couple times. There is a few things i just cant find answers to. i have posted another question as well.
today i was at about 23% for battery. the saver kicks in below 10% but all of the sudden the screen became quite darker. not as vivid as it has been every day. i plugged into charger, no change. i had to reboot the phone for the screen to go back to being vivid.

Feb 14, 2011I downloaded the Blackberry Desktop Manager to be able to transfer my pictures from my PC which I did have success in doing. I've resetted my phone a couple of times because the home screen display is on top of my wallpaper or a picture that I am using as wallpaper. I've tried different ways to remove or change the appearance of the screen but nothing works, have of my picture is hiding behind a darker screen that I believe is the default screen for my blackberry. I would like removing the dark screen from my blackberry and only display the picture that I choose.

Nokia :: E72 - Purple Blur On Screen
Feb 4, 2010I just recently, about 4 days ago received an E72 in the mail from Nokia's website. I have been using it, and love it so far. The only think is I took my phone out of my pocket today and realized there was a purple blur on the screen. I restarted the phone and it was slightly better. I waited a few minutes and it was gone. Now I am wondering if I should send my phone in to nokia, just to see if the screen is okay and to make sure it doesn't get worse. Let me know what you guys think I should do.Thanks

Jun 29, 2014I have an iphone 4 with major problems. I cracked the screen and thought it needed a replacement. I took it to a shop, and after they replaced it, since the phone had ios 7, I could easily see that the color scheme changed. Everything seemed too bright, and when I power the phone on or off, the black background is full of light. I tried lowering down the brightness all the way down, but the white colors on the screen were neon like. I also noticed that its much better to see outside, rather than inside, compared to my phone, and other phones.
Also, when using front face camera, the screen has too much reflection, and I can bearly see my self however, it works fine in the back camera. The phone screen looks darker from an angle, and lighter at another angle, which annoys me, because I have to use it at a certain angle when using it. I was wondering, is this normal because the screen is new? Is my screen no longer retina?
For example: The screen looked like this before the replacement. The iTunes icon had a light shade of purple on iTunes.After replacement, screen looked similar to this, but iTunes, messages, and phone icon all look too bright.Â

I have Alliance ROM installed on a rooted S5 and am wondering if there is a dark UI theme in the settings somewhere. The 17 themes it comes with doesn't actually make the phone dialer dark. I'm seeing screenshots online of Alliance that are nice and dark (I think it's called Black Glass?), including the phone dialer. How do I get the whole android theme dark.
Same thing with other apps. There's a few local TV news apps that have a bright white background that I wish I could customize to a dark theme. The Samsung Music Player is bright white as well.

Jun 28, 2011So i've been at this for two days now and i even went to my local t-mobile store.I've updated my phone via my computer since the wifi broke some time ago. Great, but I still wanted to update my phone.The wifi isn't place specific either. i've tried over 10+ locations with wifi (various friends houses, etc.). The message i get is unable to start wifi. what gives?But, after the update, i need to log into motoblur for my phone to be of any use to me at all. Guess what, the wifi doesn't work and I don't have a data plan.So do i have to pay for a data plan just to get this expensive phone to start working again? don't tell me yes because i know this is a solution. however, i don't have the money for a data plan otherwise i would have one already. and no, i don't have the money to even subscribe to one month just so i can "activate" my phone when i've already paid for all those fees.
I've tried doing a hard reset by holding the camera button and power button while the phone was off, then pressing down on the volume key followed by alt L/W. After the reset, the wifi doesn't work. not that i expected it to.I've checked my warranty. it's up. I find it a little peeving that it happen to run out near the same time the wifi broke.any fixes? Because i don't like to spend $400+ on my paper weights when i can go outside and find a rock.
