First thing on the to do list with any of my new phones is new wallpapers!
Home screen wallpaper changed just fine...but..
If I switch the unlock wallpaper to anything other than a default image, its insanely dark when turning the screen on.
I downloaded the Blackberry Desktop Manager to be able to transfer my pictures from my PC which I did have success in doing. I've resetted my phone a couple of times because the home screen display is on top of my wallpaper or a picture that I am using as wallpaper. I've tried different ways to remove or change the appearance of the screen but nothing works, have of my picture is hiding behind a darker screen that I believe is the default screen for my blackberry. I would like removing the dark screen from my blackberry and only display the picture that I choose.

View 6 Replies View RelatedI have a Galaxy S5 and I have tried changing the lock screen wallpaper using the common method described (ie. tapping on a spot on homescreen and clicking set wallpaper for).The problem is, when I do that, it does not give me the option of homescreen/lockscreen, but says "select wallpaper from" (options: gallary, live wallpapers, wallpapers). When I choose from pics in my gallary, it automatically sets it as homescreen wallpaper (no option for lockscreen).
The only time it works for the lockscreen is when it's in the "wallpaper" folder (the one with preset Samsung wallpapers). I've tried looking for this folder to add pictures to it, but I can't seem to locate the folder.So, where this folder is located or better yet, know of another way in which to set the wallpaper for the lockscreen from the gallery or other folders?
may i know how to change the lock screen wallpaper without changing the main screen wallpaper?and without using 3rd party app.if must using 3rd party apps to do it, which apps is suitable for changing lock screen wallpaper beside GO locker?
View 2 Replies View RelatedI have many apps frozen and I have tried unfreezing many of them one at a time to try and set multiple lock screen wallpapers but every time I hit Done after selecting the wallpapers, I get a message saying "App not installed".
If I only choose one wallpaper, I can change it just fine, but multiple wallpaper selection doesn't work. Which app controls the lock screen multiple wallpaper selection?
I use Zooper Widgets on my Widget Locker lock screen but it seems like using the fingerprint sensor isn't possible with Widget Locker. Is there any way to use it on a lock screen other than the stock lock screen? Another app? Or is there any way to use widgets on the stock lock screen?
View 7 Replies View RelatedSo all of the pre-installed lock screen wallpapers come up in full color when you unlock the device. Now when I set up my own lock screen wallpaper it basically fades to the background and is very dark and almost black. The clock and camera, phone icons are bright like normal. Is this the way it's suppose to be? Do I maybe need to move the wallpaper I want to use to where the lock screen wallpapers are?
View 5 Replies View RelatedI've recently made the switch back to android from an iPhone after quite a few years and I'm trying to re-familiarize myself with android's operating system and work out what I need to change and using this phone I noticed the notifications lacking, so I set up DashClock and DashNotifier and so far I love it. It does exactly what I want it to do for all the apps I have set up with it except for the notifications coming through the 'Messages' app on the phone for text messages.
When receiving a text message my lock screen ignores that I've set up DashClock as my default lock screen and pulls up the original lock screen with the quite ugly 'New Message' notification (as seen in the attached picture). If I scroll to the right DashClock is open and showing the message notification just fine. I've tried to disable the lock screen notifications for the 'Messages' app but haven't been successful in removing it. Is there a way to just have the 'Messages' app give lock screen notifications on the top bar and none like in the image below, or is there a work around within DashClock/DashNotifier or some other application that would fix this? My phone is running Android 4.4.2.
Whatever picture I set the wallpaper to I can only get a wallpaper on the home screen, but not on the lock screen.

Here's the deal.. I was driving today and all of a sudden my phone just stopped working.. I saw a notification saying I should restore my phone or contact apple.. My phone still powers on, I still have my custom lock screen and all but I can only make emergency calls and access SBSettings which doesn't actually work anymore. So I tried to restore the the custom firmware and itunes keeps giving me the 1600 error .. I have heard iReb can fix this but I dont even know if its compatible with the 3GS for this issue.. I have tried but its kinda confusing and hasnt exactly worked..

Switched from android. love the phone but the thought to return has crossed a couple times. There is a few things i just cant find answers to. i have posted another question as well.
today i was at about 23% for battery. the saver kicks in below 10% but all of the sudden the screen became quite darker. not as vivid as it has been every day. i plugged into charger, no change. i had to reboot the phone for the screen to go back to being vivid.
The default BB password is too difficult to type all the time.... PatternLock password was too obvious and the background wouldnt update (berryweather background) Storm slider was great just WAY TOO BUGGY! Any other options out there?
View 9 Replies View RelatedI'm having issues with a wallpaper saved from the gallery. Most of the times it will stick, but about 20% of the time the default red circuit board wallpaper will return. Phone is still functional and if I put it to sleep then reawake, most of the times my gallery wallpaper will return. Really odd. Happens sometimes right after I save a new wallpaper or sometimes later that day after multiple "wake ups".
I was thinking of locating the default wallpapers and placing my pics in there, but if I pick one of the other stock wallpapers, it has done it there, too. Right back to the default circuit board.
On the M8, I see a bit of blur with going through my home screen or app drawer? It seems to be really noticeable against darker backgrounds.
