Dec 29, 2011Happens now at least once a day. I open the phone and there is the old red wallpaper in place of my chosen image.
Yesterday it would not let me change it back. I'd do the wallpaper selection routine and pick one of the other stock images, say set wallpaper and when I'm done the old red is still there. Then all of a sudden a few hours later it decides to let me change the image.

I was playing last night and tried a Photo as Wallpaper but the fit is Stretched to whole screen and I can't see how to change it. Jan 8, 2010I just got the new OS 5.0 for my 8900. I also got a new theme. I changed my wallpaper, but now I want to change it back to the default for the theme. Has anyone figured out a way to do this? know in the OS 4.6, there was an option when you go to your media files that said "reset default home screen" or something like that. But I do not see that on the 5.0 software.

Jul 12, 2010I decided to replace the default wallpaper with something more appealing and so took a picture with the phone's camera and set it as the wallpaper. Later on, when I came to use the phone again I found it had reverted to the default wallpaper. The phone had not been switched off meantime. I reset the wallpaper again and, again, later on, I found it had reverted again. I store my camera images on the memory card (Sandisk 8GB) and have had no problems with any other data stored on the card. However, just in case the phone was having sporadic problems not being able instantly to read the card and so thinking it wasn't there, I copied the image to the phone's memory. I'm now waiting to see if it happens again. I can't upgrade the software to the latest release (R12) as I am on Tesco Mobile and their latest customised version of S60 is still based on R11.

Feb 14, 2011I downloaded the Blackberry Desktop Manager to be able to transfer my pictures from my PC which I did have success in doing. I've resetted my phone a couple of times because the home screen display is on top of my wallpaper or a picture that I am using as wallpaper. I've tried different ways to remove or change the appearance of the screen but nothing works, have of my picture is hiding behind a darker screen that I believe is the default screen for my blackberry. I would like removing the dark screen from my blackberry and only display the picture that I choose.

1. Wallpaper on my SD card or in the phone storage.When I pull up the wallpaper option on the menu (or long-touch a blank spot on the display), choose Gallery to display the pictures, and select a picture, the picture is displayed and looks perfect, except for a stretchable Zoom Box centered on a tiny portion of the picture. I can't stretch the zoom box to include the whole screen. The MOST I can select is about 1/4 or 1/3 of the screen. And I can't make the zoom box go away and just accept the picture as it is.
2. Wallpaper Apps.I've tried three different wallpaper Apps, including HD Backgrounds. Again, I can browse the wallpapers, but when I select a picture and have the App set it as the wallpaper, something causes the display to zoom in on a small portion of the picture.I have tried re-sizing pictures 1080 x 960 to 320 x 240 and all sizes in between, but nothing seems to help.How in the world do I get the phone to set the whole picture as the wallpaper without zooming in on a tiny portion of it?

When you try this there is a crop frame that shows up to allow you to crop the picture but the resultant image doesn't fit the screen like it should. The crop frame is bigger than the xoom display.

Jul 18, 2012I've just bought my RAZR and I'm struggling to set the wallpaper I want. To start with, I'm a bit disappointed that I can't have a separate lock-screen wallpaper, but that's not the end of the world.
On previous Android devices I've always been able to choose a picture then when setting it as a wallpaper, there has always been the option to crop it to the size / area you want. I can't work out how to do this, is it possible?
The built-in picture viewer doesn't seem to allow any rotation / zooming and then saving either. The pre-loaded "My Gallery" app doesn't find all the pictures on my device either. Again, on previous devices all images from all storage areas have automatically appeared in the gallery.
I also can't find the directory where the wallpapers are stored

I change it it to one from my gallery and when I put the phone to sleep it and wake it back up it switches to the default red and black wallpaper. Anyone else having this issue. What can I do to fix it? I really don't like the red and black one that came with the phone. Did a battery pull and it starts with the right wallpaper then switches back to the default one.
