I just got the new OS 5.0 for my 8900. I also got a new theme. I changed my wallpaper, but now I want to change it back to the default for the theme. Has anyone figured out a way to do this? know in the OS 4.6, there was an option when you go to your media files that said "reset default home screen" or something like that. But I do not see that on the 5.0 software.

View 3 Replies View RelatedI downloaded the Blackberry Desktop Manager to be able to transfer my pictures from my PC which I did have success in doing. I've resetted my phone a couple of times because the home screen display is on top of my wallpaper or a picture that I am using as wallpaper. I've tried different ways to remove or change the appearance of the screen but nothing works, have of my picture is hiding behind a darker screen that I believe is the default screen for my blackberry. I would like removing the dark screen from my blackberry and only display the picture that I choose.

When I used the BB with only WIFI I could erase/delete it ok. Rogers BB tech said it was cause this is a older BB. Don't know about that.

Default Services: <my primary email> (I also have a second BIS email attached, but the CICAL for that one has been deleted.)
After struggling for days to get rid of the Device Default calendar (in addition to the calendar associated with my primary email and which is set as default under Default Services), I finally got my whole BB calendar on to the one calendar it should be on: the one associated with my primary email. And lo and behold, the Device Default disappeared. hallelujah, I thought.
Having cleared out the calendar using Device Manager, I then opted for a one way sync from Outlook to my new BB with its one and only calendar now, the calendar associated with my primary email and listed as the default under Default Services.....
Can someone help me out and give me the defualt wallpaper in this pic, ive been looking for it for a while but never find it.

View 1 Replies View RelatedI'm trying to access my device memory through mass storage. But when i connect with Mass storage, i can only access the SD-card. This also happens when i go to options -> memory - There i can only see application memory, and media card, but no device memory, like in other phones.
Checking programatically for file:///store/home/user, shows it exists, and i'm able to save files to it. So - How do i get back my device memory ? Any one else experiencing these problems?
Device info : Blackberry 8900 v4.6.1.199 (Platform 4.2.0.102)I bought my blackberry curve couple of days ago and everything is fine but what happens sometimes is that the screen swtiches off like when you put it in the cover for example but the problem is that while I am using it suddenly the screen switches off (goes blank) and I try pressing buttons or the track ball or the lock button .. nothing happens .. I wait couple of more seconds and then the screen comes back and I continue using it normally. It is happening alot now , do you think it is a software problem or not ?Does the cover that came with the blackberry curve has to do with it ? Like a magnetic thing or something ?

I was playing last night and tried a Photo as Wallpaper but the fit is Stretched to whole screen and I can't see how to change it. View 3 Replies View RelatedI decided to replace the default wallpaper with something more appealing and so took a picture with the phone's camera and set it as the wallpaper. Later on, when I came to use the phone again I found it had reverted to the default wallpaper. The phone had not been switched off meantime. I reset the wallpaper again and, again, later on, I found it had reverted again. I store my camera images on the memory card (Sandisk 8GB) and have had no problems with any other data stored on the card. However, just in case the phone was having sporadic problems not being able instantly to read the card and so thinking it wasn't there, I copied the image to the phone's memory. I'm now waiting to see if it happens again. I can't upgrade the software to the latest release (R12) as I am on Tesco Mobile and their latest customised version of S60 is still based on R11.

View 6 Replies View RelatedHappens now at least once a day. I open the phone and there is the old red wallpaper in place of my chosen image.
Yesterday it would not let me change it back. I'd do the wallpaper selection routine and pick one of the other stock images, say set wallpaper and when I'm done the old red is still there. Then all of a sudden a few hours later it decides to let me change the image.
I have a Samsung Galaxy S6. Recently the keyboard keeps defaulting back to the Samsung keyboard, rather than the Google keyboard which is my preferred option. I've reset the default in Settings repeatedly.

If I switch the unlock wallpaper to anything other than a default image, its insanely dark when turning the screen on.
I just updated my T-Mobile (don't think this problem is carrier-specific) HTC One with the latest sense 6 OTA. My icon/wallpaper customization keep getting reset to default. This happened twice already since I updated. I've also noticed that under Settings>Power>Usage... that Blinkfeed is still draining the most power even though I disabled it?
View 1 Replies View RelatedI'm having issues with a wallpaper saved from the gallery. Most of the times it will stick, but about 20% of the time the default red circuit board wallpaper will return. Phone is still functional and if I put it to sleep then reawake, most of the times my gallery wallpaper will return. Really odd. Happens sometimes right after I save a new wallpaper or sometimes later that day after multiple "wake ups".
I was thinking of locating the default wallpapers and placing my pics in there, but if I pick one of the other stock wallpapers, it has done it there, too. Right back to the default circuit board.
I've come to dread restarting my phone (after deleting an app, to free up space). Every time I pull the battery, it's like playing russian roulette with my phone. When it restarts, it goes back to that original wallpaper that my bb bold2 had, and then the trackpad won't work. Even if I click down once to activate the trackpad, nothing moves on my screen. It almost always ends with me having to do a second battery pull, which is really nerve-wracking. It's like there's some sort of SEVERE lag going on. And if it does begin to work after a battery pull, it takes like 6 minutes to begin working.

I always took the back of the phone off too so that it wasn't coming through 2 little holes through the top. View 5 Replies View Relatedmy 8900 crashed on me today and they are replacing it.I decided to try the 9700 while I wait for the 8900.I was initially going to just sell the 8900 replacement on eBay and enjoy my new 9700.However, I am slightly disappointed with the 9700.I love the keyboard over the 8900.I also love the track pad and I thought I would hate it.What I don't like about the 9700 is the 3G seems to be about as slow as the EDGE. I don't use the browser much anyways so it is not much of a feature for me.Not sure if the better feeling keyboard and track pad is worth the price of a new $400 phone.Am I missing something about the 9700?
