What's the wallpaper size/ratio for the Razr M? I'm moving from a D2, and I noticed that the wallpaper on the M doesn't scroll, so I'm assuming the size/ratio is different.
View 6 RepliesI frequently hit adjacent keys while texting on my old Droid X. A larger screen and of course 4G and a faster processor were appealing as well. As the Razr HD models sport screens almost as large as the S3 I ran to see them on their first day out of the gates. What a disappointment! Holding my old Droid X up against them I saw that the usable screen sizes were identical. Namely 4.3" unless playing videos in which case the video filled up the Razr HD's 4.7" screen. I couldn't find anything else that would fill up the screen. Perhaps, photos might. But internet browsing, texting and whatever else I tried occupied a 4.3" inset within the 4.7" screen. So why have a 4.7" screen at all? The Galaxy S3 on the other hand fills up the entire 4.8" screen with not only video but everything else, including texting, messaging, web browsing, and everything else I tried. So what gives? Why did you even create a 4.7" screen if you aren't going to utilize it to its full potential?

It takes me 3-4 times as long to compose a text or e-mail because it is almost impossible to hit the right key or not hit two at the same time. there any way to get my old keyboard back? It was easy to use. What were the programmers thinking when they downsized an already small keyboard?

This mesage comes up after clicking on "Resize" when attaching the pic.
I've just bought my RAZR and I'm struggling to set the wallpaper I want. To start with, I'm a bit disappointed that I can't have a separate lock-screen wallpaper, but that's not the end of the world.
On previous Android devices I've always been able to choose a picture then when setting it as a wallpaper, there has always been the option to crop it to the size / area you want. I can't work out how to do this, is it possible?
The built-in picture viewer doesn't seem to allow any rotation / zooming and then saving either. The pre-loaded "My Gallery" app doesn't find all the pictures on my device either. Again, on previous devices all images from all storage areas have automatically appeared in the gallery.
I also can't find the directory where the wallpapers are stored

I have made a wallpaper that is 5400x1920 and is 1.16mb. I made it that wide so that when scrolling I get a different image for each of the 5 screens that I use. Whats happening is the image shows and scrolls across like it is supposed to but it "flashes" between the image and a black screen.
I was looking for Samsung Galaxy S wallpapers online and I found some that are 360x640. I tried to use these on the phone but it makes me crop the picture before I can set it as a wallpaper and I'm only ending up with 40 % of the original wallpaper. what size I need to create them in on photoshop?

I change it it to one from my gallery and when I put the phone to sleep it and wake it back up it switches to the default red and black wallpaper. Anyone else having this issue. What can I do to fix it? I really don't like the red and black one that came with the phone. Did a battery pull and it starts with the right wallpaper then switches back to the default one.
View 3 Replies View RelatedI purchased the Moto Elite Sliver because my Plantronics Pro HD would drop its bluetooth every single time a call was answered or placed. I did a little research and found it may be related to a conflict with the 2.0 headset and 4.0 phone. Moto Sliver is BT 3.0 and was working great until this week. Now every single time a call is disconnected, the headset disconnects and reconnects. Reboots galore, problem still exists. Uninstall/reinstall Motospeak, problem still exists. Sometimes the bluetooth will not connect at all (reboot required). The Droid RAZR Maxx and the Elite Sliver are supposed to be state of the art MOTOROLA, I make a living with my phone and headset.

View 3 Replies View RelatedHappens now at least once a day. I open the phone and there is the old red wallpaper in place of my chosen image.
Yesterday it would not let me change it back. I'd do the wallpaper selection routine and pick one of the other stock images, say set wallpaper and when I'm done the old red is still there. Then all of a sudden a few hours later it decides to let me change the image.
I was messing around with my phone and now I cannot remember how I got my applications homescreen wallpaper different.. I hate it and need to change it but cant figure out where I found it.

It's as if the WiFi is going to sleep when I power the screen off, but it doesn't wake up again. Turning WiFi off and on makes it reconnect.It seems to happen mostly when I'm at home, where I also use the Motorola flip stand with "ESP" smart charger, and a NetGear dual-band wireless router/access point.

View 15 Replies View RelatedI had to move some apps to the SD card to free up memory. Well, I noticed something odd, and I'm trying to figure out what the bleep is going on. When you have an app in phone memory, the storage totals are significantly higher than if its on the SD card.
For example, Google's Sky Map app. On the phone, it takes 2.54Mb of storage for the app alone. But when I move it to the SD card, it's only taking 468Kb. So, um, what happened to the other 2000 or so Kb? Now, I know different storage media will have different requirements, and hence possibly differing memory used, but a 2Mb difference? Its an even bigger difference with other apps. Google Earth is about 15Mb on the SD card and 22Mb on the phone. And before somebody asks, no, its not just google apps, anything I can move does the same thing.
I have a droid 1, running 2.2.2 FRG83G. The phone is working just fine, but this is making me batty.
I'm having issues with a wallpaper saved from the gallery. Most of the times it will stick, but about 20% of the time the default red circuit board wallpaper will return. Phone is still functional and if I put it to sleep then reawake, most of the times my gallery wallpaper will return. Really odd. Happens sometimes right after I save a new wallpaper or sometimes later that day after multiple "wake ups".
I was thinking of locating the default wallpapers and placing my pics in there, but if I pick one of the other stock wallpapers, it has done it there, too. Right back to the default circuit board.
The Verizon Sales assistant assured me that I'd be able to Sync my Outlook with my Droid Razr as easily as I synced it with my old Blackberry Tour. Now, after several days' worth of set-up, google searches, forum searches and FAQ's, I'm come to the conclusion that Motorola did NOT build this function into the Droid Razr, and I have to pay a hefty fee for a decent 3rd-party app to do what my Blackberry did for free. Have I missed something?
