Motorola Droid Turbo :: How To Disable Mic
Sep 26, 2015I want to take full advantage of HD video camera on my Droid Turbo, and found an external lavalier lapel microphone (Audio Technica 3350iS, which comes with an adapter for "smartphones including iPhone and newer Android phones"). But even when I use the adapter, the video recorder will only use the phone's on board mic. How can I disable/mute the onboard mic? Scoured the interweb, and at one point there was a perfect app "Mute Mic", but the NSA or Google or Motorola decided it was too useful to live.

May 29, 2015I am wondering if there is a way to get rid of or disable visual voicemail on my Turbo? It is getting annoying any time I get a voicemail and the phone tries to default me to visual voicemail instead of standard (non visual) voicemail.
Also, is it now the norm for voicemail messages to be "read" as to the exact time/date/length of the voicemail? Or is that a component of visual voicemail? My messages often take longer to "load" than to listen to the actual vm itself since it is telling me what day it was sent, what time, how long, etc

Jan 19, 2016I have a Motorola Droid Turbo. I have never locked the phone. I downloaded ANDROID PAY app last night. It required a screen lock to secure credit card. I agreed and set up a pattern screen lock. I got tired of unlocking phone every time. I went to disable the screen lock and I am NOT ABLE to do that. The security settings for NONE and SWIPE have been grayed out and are no longer an option. I have removed ANDROID PAY and still have issue.

If I press the lock button myself, the phone will lock and stay black with the time. If I unlock my phone and let it be, it'll turn to the rainbow colors. Sep 17, 2014I brought a Xperia Z2 yesterday and when I went to put a background on It zoomed into my picture and I couldn't zoom out it also asked me to crop the picture when I did it look stupid, and when you scroll across the picture moves with the scroll, is there anyway I can have a static background so it doesn't move when I swipe between screens?
I remember my s5 had a option to do this and so did my S4 but can't find it on the menu on the sony to turn off wallpaper scrolling.

Jun 18, 2011I got my S2 a few days back, and am quite impressed with the scrolling background wallpaper. However, I don't understand how to make a wallpaper scrollable. I installed this app called Zedge that lets you download free wallpapers etc. When I choose the image to use as wallpaper, I'm taken to a screen with the following:
- A thumbnail of the image with a resizable orange rectangle.
- 2 icons below that - one with 3 panes that looks like it's meant to select a scrolling wallpaper and the second one showing a single pane.
I choose the one on the left that appears to be for scrolling, then I suppose I have to select the area of the image I want. I want the entire image to be used as a wallpaper, so I select the whole thing. (I've also tried selecting only a sub section). I click save. It generates and sets the wallpaper and...it does not scroll. (I have all 7 home screens enabled).
I go back, choose the icon on the right, select a small area of the image and that gets set as a wallpaper. This also does not scroll. I don't want to go install a 3rd party app just to do this. I have tried with Zedge, as well as locally stored pictures from my Picasa albums. Also, how does one change the 3 default pictures in the 'wallpaper gallery'? I can't find them on the SD card.

May 5, 2011I have noticed in the last couple of days the homescreen seems to stutter when moving from screen to screen. I have very few icons 2-3 on 3 screens and only one widget. It is the wallpaper that seems to jump or stutter during the transistion. I have done factory reset, wiped cache, safe mode, etc. It still does it. Doesn't happen in Launcher Pro or ADW EX. Any ideas on this or what actual app controls the scrolling?

Feb 20, 2012Love my RAZR Maxx however something I've noticed (I've had Moto Droid/Droid2 and HTC Incredible) is that when scrolling (like email or web pages) my finger must barely touch the home button (or the back/menu/search buttons) and my scrolling gets interrupted by the button function. It seems much more sensitive than any of my other phones.Anyone else have this issue or am I the only klutz? Maybe there is a setting to change sensitivity but can't find it.

I change it it to one from my gallery and when I put the phone to sleep it and wake it back up it switches to the default red and black wallpaper. Anyone else having this issue. What can I do to fix it? I really don't like the red and black one that came with the phone. Did a battery pull and it starts with the right wallpaper then switches back to the default one.

Dec 29, 2011Happens now at least once a day. I open the phone and there is the old red wallpaper in place of my chosen image.
Yesterday it would not let me change it back. I'd do the wallpaper selection routine and pick one of the other stock images, say set wallpaper and when I'm done the old red is still there. Then all of a sudden a few hours later it decides to let me change the image.

Sep 13, 2011I'm having issues with a wallpaper saved from the gallery. Most of the times it will stick, but about 20% of the time the default red circuit board wallpaper will return. Phone is still functional and if I put it to sleep then reawake, most of the times my gallery wallpaper will return. Really odd. Happens sometimes right after I save a new wallpaper or sometimes later that day after multiple "wake ups".
I was thinking of locating the default wallpapers and placing my pics in there, but if I pick one of the other stock wallpapers, it has done it there, too. Right back to the default circuit board.
