Motorola Droid Turbo :: Disable Screen Waking Up When Wave Hand By It
Jan 26, 2015Is there a way to disable the screen from waking up every time you wave your hand by it?
View 3 RepliesIs there a way to disable the screen from waking up every time you wave your hand by it?
View 3 RepliesMy Turbo used to "wake up" and display the time, my notifications, etc. when I passed my hand over the screen.
For some reason, starting a few days ago, the hand wave no longer has this effect - nothing happens.
To see the time or notifications I have to hit the power button. Not a big deal, but inconvenient.
I don't like the feature of being able to wave my hand across the lock screen and the screen turns back on, showing alerts etc... How can I turn this off?
View 6 Replies View RelatedI have a Motorola Droid Turbo. I have never locked the phone. I downloaded ANDROID PAY app last night. It required a screen lock to secure credit card. I agreed and set up a pattern screen lock. I got tired of unlocking phone every time. I went to disable the screen lock and I am NOT ABLE to do that. The security settings for NONE and SWIPE have been grayed out and are no longer an option. I have removed ANDROID PAY and still have issue.

But even when I use the adapter, the video recorder will only use the phone's on board mic. How can I disable/mute the onboard mic? Scoured the interweb, and at one point there was a perfect app "Mute Mic", but the NSA or Google or Motorola decided it was too useful to live.

View 4 Replies View RelatedI am wondering if there is a way to get rid of or disable visual voicemail on my Turbo? It is getting annoying any time I get a voicemail and the phone tries to default me to visual voicemail instead of standard (non visual) voicemail.
Also, is it now the norm for voicemail messages to be "read" as to the exact time/date/length of the voicemail? Or is that a component of visual voicemail? My messages often take longer to "load" than to listen to the actual vm itself since it is telling me what day it was sent, what time, how long, etc
I can not get out of sleep mode
View 1 Replies View RelatedI had a recent update that updated all my apps. My Droid Turbo that I bought about a month ago came with 54 apps. All of them you can only disable not uninstall since it is part of the OS from what I understand.

View 3 Replies View RelatedI have updated my moto x from KK to LP. All is fine and snappy etc, but I'm not sure if I have turned anything off, because waving my hand over the screen doesn't seem to do anything any more? It was working fine. I have been playing around with the settings to get the phone to my liking - I may of accidentally turned something off, I'm not sure.

I noticed this befoer the update that it stopped and didn't work after update either.Under Language and Input >Voice Input>Enhanced Google Service>OK Google detection>... I have all 3 options on - 'from google app', 'from any screen', 'Personal results'
View 4 Replies View Relatedit is not a part of "Moto Display", it is actually the screen after it where you have to press the power button.
see attached pic
how do i get rid of these "notifications"? (text messages, e-mails, etc..)
they just suddenly appeared after the 5.1 update.
Yes the auto rotate box is checked and I tried rebooting the phone and it simply won't work this is really pissing me off
View 1 Replies View RelatedAfter updating to Lollipop my screen keeps getting brighter by itself. One minute the screen is at the brightest setting, then all of a sudden it gets even brighter. This happens whether or not it's plugged in. Phone seems to get a little hot but that's usually normal for phones these days.
View 4 Replies View RelatedSo since this phone does not have an LED light, the only way to know when you have a message is via Moto Display, right? Well, now the display comes in anytime there is any vibration, its diving me nuts. The MotoDisplay has no options other than on/off? I really just want the screen to turn on when I either have a new message or when I wave my hand over it, NOT when it senses vibrations. If the phone is on my couch, the display comes on all the time. Even when its on my desk, it can sense when i drop a folder or book on it and the screen turns on. Are there really no ways to turn off the vibration sensors?????

View 1 Replies View RelatedI usually disable my pin when I am on my bike so that I have easy access to my tracking app. Today I encountered the screen here and cannot choose None or Swipe for my lock screen. How this was disabled.
View 5 Replies View RelatedI cant find the setting that locks the icons so that they don't get delete from the screens. I have had the phone for 5 weeks and it seams like very couple of days there are icons that are deleted and I have to re add them to the screens.
View 8 Replies View RelatedOn two occasions now the phone has been making an odd 'alert' tone both after unlocking the screen and while the phone screen is active.
It's not an application doing this because they are all closed. The phone is only supposed to make a click sound for locking and unlocking as per sound settings.
My phone's screen is flashing when in sleep mode. I thought that it might be caused by notifications, but I cleared them and it still flashes.
View 5 Replies View RelatedFor the last few days, my phone will not rotate. The only app that is rotating is YouTube, but even gmail and the stock message+ is not rotating to landscape. I checked all the settings and everything is correct from what I can see.
View 1 Replies View RelatedCan you add home screens so you have more than 3?
View 6 Replies View RelatedWhenever you turn on the phone, or whenever you come back from a blank screen, my Motorola Droid Turbo always starts at the default Phone app. This is really frustrating because you have to close this screen before you can get to the Home screen to do anything else. It also has been the cause of a number of accidental dialings since it defaults to the Speed Dial screen and all the dial buttons are there ready to use. Is there any way to change this? I want to just boot to the home screen, like every other phone I have used.
View 6 Replies View RelatedNoticed some lag or stuttering on the recents screen? Mainly when swiping away open apps, I've noticed a hesitation before it slides all the way off the screen.
View 7 Replies View RelatedI think I've noticed it a few times before, but tonight I've been able to replicate it on purpose. I have my brightness at close to it's dimmest setting, yet in direct sunlight the screen goes to max brightness; hold it in the shade and it goes back dim.
View 1 Replies View RelatedGot a problem with my 5800 - just today, the touch screen has started being odd. It sometimes works perfectly but then i try and press a button on the left hand side of the screen and it chooses the one at the right-hand side. This obviously makes everything very difficult! Any ideas as to why this might be/how I could repair it? I've tried the touch screen calibration about 10 times, it sorts it out for about a minute.I can send it to Nokia to replace but I could really do without sending my phone away
View 13 Replies View RelatedSometimes, perhaps just a couple times a week, I will hit the power or Home button to wake my phone and the screen will be very, very dim for 5 or so seconds. After that, the screen will be the normal brightness and the phone behaves normally. Most of the time, the screen pops on right away, and I can't find any correlation that explains when this might happen. It's not related to the environment's brightness, as AFAIK. It seems to be completely random.I have the screen brightness manually set at the lowest setting. Auto brightness is turned off.I got my X2 with the original Froyo firmware, and didn't see this happen until the current 2.3.4 firmware. But the older firmwares weren't current for very long, so perhaps it would have happened if I'd used the older firmware versions for a longer time
View 2 Replies View RelatedHow do I remove an Amazon ad from my Turbo main screen? Tried removing but still on and annoying....
View 1 Replies View RelatedAfter updating to Lollipop 5.1, I noticed my screen is blank after using any app (messaging, GMail, etc.) and it won't come back. Calls and texts and other notices come (can actually answer calls and see the call screen) through, but home screen and any adjacent screens are all black. The status bar and icons are visible though and I can use the pull down menu. It's as if it is refreshing but never gets to the end. I installed many apps, even used a stock wallpaper), but it still will do this. I have to keep rebooting until it eventually stops; I check it by using a random app and seeing if I can see the screen by pressing the Home button. I also wiped the cache partition after the OS upgrade.
