W shooting video in bright sunlight the LCD screen on Samsung S5 smart phone blocks out the screen from the clare. How do I correct that to have a clear LCD to look at.

View 2 Replies View RelatedHas anyone else run across this issue? If I have the Nokia 808 in Creative mode and manually adjust the ISO, sometimes I get dark images. This is in bright daylight with my subject completely visible and well-lit in the view finder. It doesn't really matter what the ISO setting is, the pictures will come out dark. If I choose Automatic and then back to Creative, it will "fix" it.
That's not entirely true. I don't know what fixes it. But it will return to normal. I tried to make it happen before writing this note, but could not repeat it indoors. It's possible the bright sunlight was part of the problem...as if the 808 overcompensated for all the light.that gave me an idea...looking at the EXIF properties of the dark images, Lightsource is "Unknown".On the properly exposed images, it says "Daylight". Perhaps this is a clue?
My N8 screen is going black whenever I am making calls in the bright sunlight. So I cannot view the dialler at all and unable to end the calls. This problem really annoys me a lot.

View 1 Replies View RelatedSo I have had an iphone 4 for years now, its jailbroken and has been my main phone forever. However I needed an upgrade badly, so I purchased an unlocked galaxy s6. I have so much data on the old iphone I must move, contacts, pictures, music, and I dont use icloud. So I purchased an otg cable, which worked perfectly for transferring data off of my ipad, but not my iphone.
When I connect the iphone to my galaxy, it pulls up smart switch. However it stays on the "connecting to ios device" screen. When I pull the notifications bar down on my galaxy, it says "camera connected". So my question is how can I prevent my galaxy s6 from recognizing the iphone as a camera, so smart switch can connect to it to transfer my data?

right now my data isn't working, WiFi calls and texting works.
it's weird cause when I toggle off the Data it shows a line across the "4GLTE" but right now its just grayed out not letting me use data at all.
I have smart switch installed on my pc with windows 10 and i try to backup data from my g920f running latest 6.0.1.
Smart Switch is stuck at "To complete the backup using Smart Switch you need to temporarily allow some permissions. Allow the permissions on the connected device"... There's no prompt on my phone.
I tried all kinds of reconnecting, restarting but still this dialogue.

View 7 Replies View RelatedSo I have an S5 and while using an app I noticed an extremely bright rectangular spot across the top part of the screen.I got the phone replaced and while using the replacement S5 found another rectangular bright spot and this time it was not quite as noticeable but it was bigger than the previous spot. I would explain the spot as an unnatural brighter hue compared to the rest of the screen.

I have Alliance ROM installed on a rooted S5 and am wondering if there is a dark UI theme in the settings somewhere. The 17 themes it comes with doesn't actually make the phone dialer dark. I'm seeing screenshots online of Alliance that are nice and dark (I think it's called Black Glass?), including the phone dialer. How do I get the whole android theme dark.
Same thing with other apps. There's a few local TV news apps that have a bright white background that I wish I could customize to a dark theme. The Samsung Music Player is bright white as well.
When I'm browsing websites, watching movies, or really anytime the phone is on there are 2 very bright white dots along the right edge of display and the dots are indeed under the glass.

View 8 Replies View RelatedI got the galaxy s6 edge about 2 weeks ago, and noticed that when I tried to take pictures with my front camera the pictures look very weird. Like everything is too bright and my face looks like i have a ton of make up on or i have been airbrushed or something. It is just very weird. I have tried turning the beauty setting to zero and turning HDR off. Still has not fixed the problem.
The back camera does not have this issue, it takes nice pictures. Also, my s4 front camera did not do this, it was a very good front camera. So i feel like the s6 front camera is a downgrade, what happened?
my 1020 is experiencing many problems, first of all I must mention that the screen was changed after being broken, and then the problems started, display colours went yellowish and too bright, screen locking alone too many times when battery gets below 65%.
I have to mention that I changed the screen another times, but the problems started again after 3 days, and that sometimes the phone gets fixed sudenlly, but not for too long, the longest period was 2 days, and two more times it worked properly again for few minutes (once I unlock the lock screen, the phone gets corrupted again)
I am trying to activate a Verizon wireless phone with page plus and the ESN seems clear but when I try to do the OTA programming, it can't recognize the phone. Kitty Wireless (who have been very kind) have been helping but they the esn must be wrong. Any ideas of where to find an ESN BESIDES under the battery? I have looked under settings and phone info but it's not there.

My T-mobile 8320's trackball has learned the new trick of only working when the phone is in bright light!The symptoms: If the keyboard light is on, the trackball doesn't work. If the keyboard light is off, the trackball works normally. The trackball light never goes off, but stays at least dim even when the screen is blanked and the keyboard light is off. In fact, it is on even when the phone is in the holster.The phone has never been abused, nor experienced water or anything.
I've done the battery pull to no avail, and played with the keyboard/trackball settings and the backlight settings with the same results.T-Mobile says to try a master reset. I'll do that after I figure out what data is on my phone that will need replacing.
My new I phone 6 plus takes poor quality pictures with a glare at nights. There is a forum on this issue online Is Apple planning on correcting it? That was one of the reason I upgraded?

When someone calls me and I want to answer the call by swiping the green button I got nothing even I can't end the call by swiping the red button or even by pressing the lock key. I have to wait until the caller ends the call and then I call him back.

View 10 Replies View RelatedOK, I know that my PIN is correct but it keeps saying my PIN is incorrect. I keep entering it and it still doesn't send me to Google login account so that I can at least get into my phone using a backup login. It doesn't let me unlock my phone in any way whatsoever. Just keeps locking me out for 30secs every 4 times that I enter a PIN wrong. Nothing that says "too many incorrect PIN attempts" pops up.
View 1 Replies View RelatedI have a new Huawei Android smart watch and I enabled Smart Lock so that as long as the phone and watch were connected by Bluetooth the phone would remain unlocked. If they are not connected, my fingerprint would unlock the phone. But enabling Smart Lock seems to have no effect - the phone remains locked when connected to the watch. I have rebooted the phone multiple times after turning off security and Smart Lock then turning them both back on after rebooting.

I have not tested it with a missed called yet, but it says it works with messages and other notifications but it does not vibrate when I pick it up. Are there any other settings that might be affecting this? I do have the vibration turn on and up pretty high, and I even enabled vibrate during ringing just to be safe.

View 3 Replies View RelatedI have read the discussions on the screen glare on the xoom and do not find the answer to my question. I was told by sales person to install the Zagg Screen protectant. I did so and what a mess, so I took it back to Best Buy and they replaced it and installed it for another $15. I went outside to take some pictures of a quail and her 15 babies and could seen nothing on the screen. Tried different ways. Then I thought about doing work or play with my Xoom outside on the deck and that was a lost cause too.
What can I do to get rid of the glare on the Xoom screen with the Zagg installed? Can I put something over the Zagg? It was not cheap and I paid to have it installed.The person who answered my question I though was just making a joke. I tried full brightness of the screen and my sunglasses. IT WORKED> Kind of dark but good enough to see what I was taking a picture of I need to find the name of the last reply because that was the one with the answer that worked.
I must say I'm realy fed-up with with Sony Ericson for not providing 2.2. I've just bought the X10 thinking it was the best. can't wait for my present contact to finish, so I can chose a proper smart phone. Can anyone advise me on my next PROPER smart phone.
