I just got my upgrade to Atrix 4G , all the extras are overkill.....but that is not my problem...I set the screen timeout to 20 minutes, and when it goes to sleep (or what ever it does) to wake it up have to push on/off switch....that part is easy....but Then I have to slide that silly lock thing across the screen to unlock, by then the person is on voice mail. The other phones I have had you could disable the screen lock when at home (use as house phone)and then when wanted to go out lock it.....
View 13 Replies View RelatedI have a Samsung S6 Edge. Every time I turn on GPS, either High Accuracy or Battery Saver.. whenever I lock my phone... i lose that GPS signal. Everytime time I wake it back up or unlock it..i will see a "searching for location", then a "location found". This happens for ALL application, Google Maps, Verizon Navigotor, MapMyRun, etc. This is very frustrating as I use these apps all the time and I cant keep my phone 'unlocked' as then the screen is active and I would accidently click things.
ADDITIONALLY, after using the GPS, I will then shut off the location feature and then my phone will continually say "searching for location", even with location off. I close all my current applications etc.. and it still says searching. This message does not go away until i turn back on location or restart my phone.
When I go to location settings, i see "recent location requests" of "Google Play services" and Location Services of "Google Location History".. that is it!
I am about to the point of wiping out my phone and starting over. (which i dont want to do). I have not battery saver or app killers downloaded on my phone so that cant be it.
I was recently messing with the different lock screen security options possible however I noticed that I can no longer go back to "Swipe" to unlock. Why this is? That and "none" are grayed out in the settings (see screen shot). how to get myself back to swipe to unlock?

It's really annoying when the phone chhoses what you want to write, or rather misprexicts your intended word, causing you to waste time deleting and retyping.Sometimes the text window obstructs view of the text you want to copy! Its really a bore and I need to know how its disabled!

I don't like this feature to be unlocked, that is why I have a passcode on my iPhone. Now, whenever my you daughter is able to get her hands on it, she fills up the memory space with random pictures. This feature would not be bad if it had the option to disable.

I did look through quite a few threads and wasn't able to spot this subject. how to disable this feature?
Sidenote: What was Apple thinking with this feature? avoid a couple of taps before being able to access the camera. Having it available on the lock screen defeats security. I prefer security.

With the new update, the new slide-camera-button-to-activate-camera feature has a major downfall... you are able to completely bypass entering you password and access all the phone information! After sliding the camera button and getting into the camera, simply pressing the button takes you right into the phone without ever having to enter your password. This is a major problem! Anyone know how to deactivate that camera feature or simply a way to prevent access to my phone?

I recently updated my phone to 5.1 and now the lock screen displays the camera permanently but doesn't work? Has anyone else experienced this? More importantly is there a way of rectifying it? I have tried re-booting the phone to no avail.
View 3 Replies View RelatedShortly after I upgraded my iPhone 4 to iOS 5.1, the camera shortcut on my home screen stopped working. The camera icon appears even if I single click the home button, but whether I single click or double click the home button, touching the camera icon simply makes the screen bounce in rejection.
I have removed the passcode on my phone only to get the same effect.
