With the old 1.6 software on my X10, the lack of an automatic screen lock when in an active call was mildly annoying, as not all areas of the screen were active. However, with the new 2.1, just about anywhere on the screen becomes active (especially when juggling two simultaneous calls).What are the chances that we'll see a 'lock screen' function for phone calls?

View 9 Replies View RelatedTHE most annoying bug for me so far - I got the phone set to automatically lock (pattern unlock) after 2 minutes of the screen being off. If I receive a call, proximity sensor hits the screen off as you'd expect. 2 minutes later I have to wake the screen manually with the power button, unlock it just to be able to end the call.

When it came back, My phone is locked with the message on the top left of the screen saying "SIM Is Perso Locked". I now have to enter a SIM network unlock PIN which I do not have. I have called Sony and they could not provide a code. I have received one from my phone carrier (Wind Mobile) but that did not work.Is my phone now locked to Wind Mobile? 1) no notifications are displayed on my lock screen even for missed calls or sms's .. there is no any icon or symbol that informs me if i have missed any call or received a message ; and i have to unlock my phone every time to check
in the Settings -> Sounds and Notifications -> i selected the option to show all the notifications.. but nothing changed
2) also on the lock screen , not widget for the walkman or the sound cloud to enable me to pause the players or to navigate to the next song
Why is my screen periodically flashing on and off whilst phone is locked? There is no pattern to it and the screen will come on and then go off about 5 times and then stop.

Problems that we experience on all three phones are as follows; If I look at the video file and turn the phone 90 degrees (it does not matter if I turn it left or right), then screen lock lock the screen immediately. I can not unlock the phone as long as the phone is in the same position. I have to turn it back 90 degrees for it to go to unlock it. The same happens even if I want to play games and have to turn my phone 90 degrees, or if I want to photograph or record a film. If I do not turn my phone 90 degrees, then everything works as it should, but it is supposed to be able to rotate the phone, depending on what you do without screen lock locks my phone immediately?
View 7 Replies View Relatedwhen I got the first lollipop Update I had an option to disable the lock screen completely on my z3 compact, ever since this recent update to fix the bugs in lollipops it only gives me the option to set a slide lock screen or PIN or password but not completely disable it so if I try to use any third party lock screen I have to first unlock the Sony one before it will go to that one.
my other issue is with the throw, screen mirroring s only once since I've had this phone have I been able to scan and have devices come up I have a smart TV and that came up but everytime I try to do it now it just says no devices found every single time

View 1 Replies View RelatedMy Ray's screen can't be turned on after every screen lock event. Any solution for this? I have reinstall my entire phone through SEUS and the same error is still occuring. Is is firmware problem or hardware problem. I can't believe this is happening as i always keep my phone under good condition and its just 4 months old. Dissapointing purchase.
p.s. The screen can be turned on if u keep trying to press the home button. Usually 8-15 minutes after the phone screen is locked. Face palm much.Is there any temporary solution because i urgently need to use my phone!
I recently got my iPhone4 and I am having a very annoying issue.During a call my phone would start doing stuff, from sending txt, putting people on mute/hold, calling other ppl.The screen is way to dam sensitive compare to the 3GS I previously had.I've purchased and put invisible sheild screen protector hoping it would dull the sensitivity but that was a fail.Anyway to lock the screen while in a call?

Therefore I often mute people by mistake of some other function takes over that my face has activated. Very frustrating. Doesn't repair by turning phone off and then on again.

View 1 Replies View RelatedI use my phone with a wired headset (no hang up botton on the headset). This also happens on speaker phone. If I'm on a conversation for several minutes and its time to hang up--I have to unlock and enter my password (required for corporate activesync) then push the end call button. This makes hanging up an awkward process--having to fumble around for several seconds while the other party gets to listen to you doing it. The lock doesn't happen all the time.
But one way for sure to recreate the behavior is to:
1. Set your screen timeout to 15 seconds.
2. Call the phone from another line. Answer phone and put it on speaker phone. Or use wired headset as I do.
3. Wait for screen timeout or just press power button while on the call. Now wake the phone up. The phone may or may not be locked now. But if you now press the Home softkey, the screen will certainly lock....while you are on a call! This means you know have to slide the lock and enter security code just to hang up on someone.
A better practice from a design stand point is that the phone should never lock while you are on a call. What purpose does it serve to lock while on a call? When it locks you can neither hang up, push dial tones, answer call waiting, etc. until you unlock it. This needs to be fixed.
I've recently made the switch back to android from an iPhone after quite a few years and I'm trying to re-familiarize myself with android's operating system and work out what I need to change and using this phone I noticed the notifications lacking, so I set up DashClock and DashNotifier and so far I love it. It does exactly what I want it to do for all the apps I have set up with it except for the notifications coming through the 'Messages' app on the phone for text messages.
When receiving a text message my lock screen ignores that I've set up DashClock as my default lock screen and pulls up the original lock screen with the quite ugly 'New Message' notification (as seen in the attached picture). If I scroll to the right DashClock is open and showing the message notification just fine. I've tried to disable the lock screen notifications for the 'Messages' app but haven't been successful in removing it. Is there a way to just have the 'Messages' app give lock screen notifications on the top bar and none like in the image below, or is there a work around within DashClock/DashNotifier or some other application that would fix this? My phone is running Android 4.4.2.
was wondering if there is call screen lock feature in nokia belle? Because i couldn't find it any where in my nokia 701, even there is no option to edit the normal lock screen or button? Why there are bugs and such small and important features are missing in nokia's belle OS?

View 3 Replies View RelatedMy phone locked up/screen went black during a phonecall yesterday. It was at night. So, it was dark where I was. I tried to access the screen. It would produce a faint light, but would not let me access the screen, phone or any apps. I was talking on a bluetooth headset at the time. Normally at the end of a call, I could hang up the phone by pushing a button on my headset. That wouldn't work either. The only way I could hang up the phone was to pull the battery.

Very uncomfortable since you cant end a call yourself of put the speakers on or what ever. I restarted phone, it still appears. Sometimes pressing the start button works. 90% it doesnt.

Then, when the proximity sensor was triggered when you removed the phone from your face, the screen would light-up, the phone screen woudl be present, and you would simply end the call. Now, when I remove the phone from my face I find the lock-screen, so I must first unlock it before I can end the call. I have searched for a settings to fix this and cannot locate what I need
