As every other touchscreen phone on the market has a pattern unlock method, this is the single issue preventing from purchasing this phone(s) PLEASE ISSUE AN UPDATE/APP/PATCH anything to bring this vital security & efficiency issue up to par.

It is most notable when I am making an outgoing call, when the phone status is reading "calling." The screen seems to flicker and the dim light flashes to the right of the LED,

When you are composing email/txt msg, once you touch the "send" icon on touchscreen the msg will just be sent immediately. I hate this because I might hit it randomly. Is there any way to add a confirmation window there?

View 1 Replies View RelatedI downloaded the free Patternlock.
Under the instructions it tell you to:
Options > Advanced > Apps > scrool to the app > click menu > edit permissions > set all to allow > then reboot.
Well i have the torch and those instructions are not correct b/c there is no advanced tab under options and i can figure it out. Does patternlock work for the torch, if so, can some1 give me instructions.
Maybe I'm not doing it right, but I enable a password on my torch, use the lock button, and when I press the lock button again it unlocks it without asking for the password. Both my 9000 and my 9700 made me enter the password after I hit unlock.

View 1 Replies View RelatedWith the old 1.6 software on my X10, the lack of an automatic screen lock when in an active call was mildly annoying, as not all areas of the screen were active. However, with the new 2.1, just about anywhere on the screen becomes active (especially when juggling two simultaneous calls). What are the chances that we'll see a 'lock screen' function for phone calls?

View 9 Replies View RelatedI am looking for a thread or would like to create one that will instruct a newbie on how to clean up (or hide) those apps I don't want or use, on the main screen. Also would like to know recommendations as to best apps to have, that don't suck memory. (Maybe an app to free up wasted space?)
View 13 Replies View RelatedOn my Blackberry Toch 9800, it seems to freeze up on several occassions, most recently when downloading an application from "App World."After downloading an application from App World, when you run the application for the first time, it will ask you if you want to "share personal information." Whether it is checked or unchecked, the screen just freezes up after clicking "OK."
Is there a fix for this? This is a brand new device and I am already experiencing several screen lock up issues. I have already done a hard / soft reset, as well as a battery pull. I have also uninstalled the application and re-installed it, only to have this issue continue.
THE most annoying bug for me so far - I got the phone set to automatically lock (pattern unlock) after 2 minutes of the screen being off. If I receive a call, proximity sensor hits the screen off as you'd expect. 2 minutes later I have to wake the screen manually with the power button, unlock it just to be able to end the call.
View 9 Replies View RelatedEvery time I'm talking, the quick settings and main settings open and I end up changing them. I've turned on/off mobile data,, dialled another number while on a call, location, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, flashlight, deleted apps etc. My screen sensitivity is set to lowest.
View 9 Replies View RelatedI recently got my iPhone4 and I am having a very annoying issue.During a call my phone would start doing stuff, from sending txt, putting people on mute/hold, calling other ppl.The screen is way to dam sensitive compare to the 3GS I previously had.I've purchased and put invisible sheild screen protector hoping it would dull the sensitivity but that was a fail.Anyway to lock the screen while in a call?
View 15 Replies View RelatedVerizon has tried to fix this problem and cannot. 98% of the time when I am on a call my screen does not lock and go black. Therefore I often mute people by mistake of some other function takes over that my face has activated. Very frustrating. Doesn't repair by turning phone off and then on again.

Everytime the phone rings I press the button on the side and touch the unlock button on the screen, but before I can touch the answer button, or press the Green button the screen goes dark and locks then I have to do the side/unlock screen thing again.
View 2 Replies View RelatedI use my phone with a wired headset (no hang up botton on the headset). This also happens on speaker phone. If I'm on a conversation for several minutes and its time to hang up--I have to unlock and enter my password (required for corporate activesync) then push the end call button. This makes hanging up an awkward process--having to fumble around for several seconds while the other party gets to listen to you doing it. The lock doesn't happen all the time.
But one way for sure to recreate the behavior is to:
1. Set your screen timeout to 15 seconds.
2. Call the phone from another line. Answer phone and put it on speaker phone. Or use wired headset as I do.
3. Wait for screen timeout or just press power button while on the call. Now wake the phone up. The phone may or may not be locked now. But if you now press the Home softkey, the screen will certainly lock....while you are on a call! This means you know have to slide the lock and enter security code just to hang up on someone.
A better practice from a design stand point is that the phone should never lock while you are on a call. What purpose does it serve to lock while on a call? When it locks you can neither hang up, push dial tones, answer call waiting, etc. until you unlock it. This needs to be fixed.
So we've mentioned screen protectors a lot so far, and unfortunately this is another thread about them (DON"T STOP READING THERE). Since i bought the invisibleShield, and absolutely love it. I was hoping the awesome CrackBerry community might make it better. Since it's a large screen protector that you have to cut up yourself, i was hoping someone had something i can trace and cut along a line, to better fit my screen. So does anyone have anything that we can trace to easier cut out screen protectors?
