I just installed on my N8 running v25 the new Nokia Maps v3.8 which came up as an update on Nokia Suite. Installation completed OK, but I cannot launch the application - "Maps: Feature not supported".I cannot see any Maps entry in the list of Installed Apps in the App manager, so I cannot uninstall.I have downloaded maps to my handset and I can see them in Nokia Suite no problem.

Nokia suite came up with an update today for the maps, installed, phone restarted and when I open Maps message "Feature not supported" seems like people who have updated are facing problem. /t5/Nseries-and-Symbian-Smartphones/Nokia-N8-Software-Update-Nokia-Maps-with-enhanced/td-p/1205909Trying to install via beta labs didn't help, when I check application manager I couldn't find maps application anywhere.

When I press on the camera button it gives the message (Camera Feature not Supported). I played many tricks with it but of no use. I reset my phone to the original factory setting through (*#7370#) and Multi-finger process but of no help. I even reinstalled the updated version but the problem still persists. My camera worked fine before the update but now it gives the said message and the phone hanges up on pressing the camera button. I request nokia developers to help fix this problem and check their updates for buge before uploading them to the server to save users from problems & worries.

Everything seemed alright apart from the Conversations feature, often when I send a text message within it, an error message of 'Feature Not Supported' but after a number of attempts it eventually sends.
That's fine for people I have sent messages to but it seems when I send a new message to a new contact just through creating a new message I get an error of 'Message Editor: Feature Not Supported' which means I can't wish my friend Happy Birthday today!!!! This happens all the time when using the New Message function. I've tried to restore to factory defaults but with no luck.

View 9 Replies View Relatedtried installing the ms apps using a third party app since i saw it worked on other people's phones and i thought i would give it a shot i was wrong for about 3-4 days i've been scouring the internet trying to find a solution to the Home screen:feature not supported bug or whatever it is, but to no avail. I am starting to become a bit desperate as the gallery simply will not work no matter what i do, .jpgs wont open, and my phone has been handicapped in the most literal sense of the word. Also i've tried hard resetting twice but to no result. I've considered hacking the phone and installing a custom firmware but i didnt want to destroy the phone completely, and also waiting for the feature pack might take too long for me.

View 4 Replies View RelatedI have a N85 Navi which I bought less than a year ago. I updated this week the maps and the application (latest version)and added one voice for the navigation. After this update when I open the Maps and select Settings and Navigation (to change i.e. voice), Maps closes automatically without any error messages. I can open all the other settings sub-menus. Any ideas why this is happening? Do I have the to re-install the application, maps and voices?

View 15 Replies View RelatedI recently bought a nokia E7 (Blue) US Version but I am using it in Canada. I updated it to Symbian Anna and so on. Everytime I try to add new maps from the cell phone itself it says (downloading list, please wait) this takes FOREVER, then i try to do it by nokia ovi suite, well that is even worse, sometimes it says THERE SEEMS TO BE A PROBLEM WITH CONNECTING THE ONLINE MAPS, sometimes it says some crazy errors (COULDNT CONNECT TO THE SERVICE, ETCC). I deleted the E:/cities folder + QF file, I opened the Ovi map apps and they got restored and so on but still nothing happens. Is there any other way to add some map I mean MANUALLY? I need the USA and Canada map, (voice guidande male us), I read some discussion from Ovikudy on how to do it manually but i need theses files.
BTW, I regret buying this Nokia E7 big time I should have listened to my friends and go to ANDROID. I know nokia is killing symbian but please fix those MAP serverS.
I wanted to update my Nokia maps on my Noka N82. I have Nokia maps 2 installed. I have downloaded (nokia_maps_3.01_09wk44_b01_s60_3.1_lm_rom.sis) from (http://europe.nokia.com/support/product-support/maps-support/compatibility-and-download#/nokia-n82/) I also installed "OVI suite" and sent the file to my mobile, but when I send the file Error occures it Says: "nokia_maps_3.01_09wk44_b01_s60_3.1_lm_rom.sis is not supported". View 14 Replies View RelatedI updated my phone to firmware version 30.033 via NSU which caused my phone`s camera not working any more, while prior to the update it worked fine. When I press on the camera main button or open it from the menu, it gives a strange message " camera feature not supported" and the camera application can not be closed then till the phone is powered off. Then phone can not be downgraded to the previous or lower firmware. Hard reset to factory setting does not work.
